Andrew Kelly's arrogance got the better of him. However, submissions were his specialty. He may not be experienced in professional wrestling, but he had collegiate skills as well as proper submission training. The Professor flt Claire going for a cross armbreaker. He struggled, not letting her lock it in as he aimed to turn her onto her stomach and catch her in a single leg crab.

Kelly may fancy himself a "professor" or sorts when it came to submissions, but Claire had learned from some of the best ever. Couple that with how much she knew about the business and the like, well let's just say Andrew was in for a very long and painful night. Not only to his psychical self but to his undeserving ego as well! Back to the moment at hand. Unable to lock in an early hold, Claire was more then ready to counter Andrew as he tried to roll her onto her stomach. Which wouldn't actually help his situation, regardless of that, Claire attempted to slam her boot into the side of Andrew's head several times to knock him back to the canvas. If she were able to do so she would once again try and lock the cross arm breaker in! Sure it may not make him tap right away, but it would certainly bruise his ego!

HIs collegiate and submission training didn't fail Andrew Kelly. He spent years and years teaching students and time he showed what the professor could do. The Witch was being stubborn, getting her boot on his face. He couldn't wrench his submission, but he could force her to break the hold. He continued to struggle, not letting Claire get him fully on his back. With her legs on him he raised himself, biting back the pain in his arm as he turned the hold into a schoolboy pin.

Technically Andrew had never had his submission locked in, he was well on his way until Claire stopped him. However he didn't go back down to the canvas like a good step child that had been beaten. Nonetheless, he managed to battle through the pain and place Claire into a pinning situation. The referee dropped down to the canvas to make the count, but Claire attempted to suddenly twist to her left side to not only keep from being pinned, but also to add a bit more pain by wrenching harm before letting go.
