"...." Kua looked at Lutum for a moment, not quite certain if he believed it. It sure seemed like he had been this little for forever!
"Okay..." He said, wobbling a little bit. Boo, was he getting tired already? He just wanted to ignore them. "I believe you."

The wobbling caught Lutum's eye. Uh...how was he supposed to deal with that? Or with this cub being so young that he was willing to take any adult's word for granted?
Well, the latter was certainly the job of Kua's parents. As for the wobbling...hmmm. The brown lion gave a theatrical yawn.
"Whoof, I think it's naptime! I don't know about you, Kua, but I think I'm going to go lie down. See you later, okay?" There! That should encourage the cub to go take his own rest and all Lutum would have to do was go somewhere else for a while.

Thatrical or not, Kua couldn't help but echo that, and he yawned as well. So, if a grown adult took naps....certainly it couldn't be bad that he napped so much.
"Oh, ok!" he squeaked, a little surprised but definitely taking Lutum's lead. "Yeah, my home is right there...so...bye!" He wobbled towards his cave, his mind still swirling with the idea of being big one day. He'd probably dream about it while curled up for a nap.

Lutum resumed chuckling to himself as he left the den's vicinity. That whole encounter had helped clear his mind. It certainly didn't hurt that Kua was pretty adorable for a cub. He wondered if all cubs in the pride were like that. It was, he was surprised to figure, something he'd like to find out.
