Oh! Uh... Welp, now Esme felt even worse. Just what in the world was wrong with her? Ever since that fight with Lenka she was just having issue after issue. Of COURSE Nicolae wasn't treating her like a child. How silly would that be, treating your date like a little kid? Her face and her neck flushed horribly red, and she mumbled a "sorry" as she looked away for a brief few seconds. Get back on track, girl. She took a breath and offered him a weak smile as she turned back to him. But as she listened to his want to go to culinary school, to his advice, the teenager came back to life. She straightened out and leaned forward again, hung on to his every word. "I'm sorry. It's the first time I've ever tried it. My parents.. uh.. they.." Esme trailed off. She didn't really want to talk about them. That much was obvious. "Anyway! You really want to go to culinary school? I think you should go for it! That's so neat! Everyone should follow their dreams no matter what, I think." The 'bride' edged closer. "What made you get into cooking?" Back to cheerful Esme.

Nicolae mulled this question over, sipping at his wine. He chose to ignore the half finished statement about her parents and shrugged. “I don’t know. Cooking just relaxes me. It makes me feel like I’m doing something great, and the results are both beautiful and delicious. Maybe you could come over sometime and I could make you dinner. That is if you want to.”
He flashed a little smile, then fell quiet as their meal arrived. Maybe he shouldn’t push for making her dinner so soon…she was just a kid still after all, even if she was nearly an adult. She was cute though, he really had to give her that, and she was fun to be around. He didn’t dislike her at all, but…maybe he shouldn’t get to involved…it wouldn’t be good to hurt her feelings if he decided that she wasn’t right for him. Not many girls were right for him after all…
He never was the type to just settle down right away.
The blonde paused when the waiter came to take the orders, smiling at the male and ordering the meals before just sighing. “Anyway…a change of topic, perhaps? What would you like to do when you get out of school?”

Esme wouldn't let him live that down, however. Not yet. The fact that he'd invited her to his house to COOK FOR HER was just such a beautiful step in their barely formed relationship. Oh gosh so many babies. Er. That was. "I'd love to come over. If it's something that you really really enjoy, I'd like to see you in action. It must be really special to you." But what did she wanted to do after she graduated? That... was the question. "I've never really thought about it, honestly." Long pause. She didn't really have anyone to talk it over with either. "But, I guess, people say that I'm a good writer, so maybe that's something to look into..." Ergh. She grabbed for her glass of water and gulped some down. "What I'd really like to do," Esme added quickly, "is see a lot of the world and, I dunno, taste it. Experience it. I've never been out of Destiny City in all my life so I'd like to see what it's like somewhere else. Like... like... something better than Disney World."

Nicolae nodded, seeming slightly impressed. “Big dreams, Esme. Big dreams, and it sounds like a good one too. Seeing the world has always seemed pretty fun to me…and just going around and eating in different parts of the world, that would be super fun too.” He had to laugh at the Disney World comment…but…he wasn’t quite sure he really believed it. There were a lot of things in the world, but he had always heard that Disney was in the top twenty percent or so.
“If you ever get to that point, send me postcards, okay? I want to know where you’ve been…I mean, if we stay in touch for that long.” He gave a little wink then lapsed into silence, leaning back in his chair and just swirling his wine around in its glass.

She laughed as she set the water down. "You forgot that we're married, right? So I'm pretty sure that you'll be coming with me." Esme looked up as the waiter started bringing their appetizers. When the man said it was all on the house, the girl beamed and thanked him, commenting on her new husband's fine taste and choice in dining establishments. The new 'bride' waited until the waiter was long gone. "And even if we divorce, Maripo, I can already tell you'll be a very good friend anyway. So I'm pretty optimistic that if you aren't coming, you'll be getting some pretty awesome postcards and souvenirs." Oooh my goooosh this shrimp was so delish. Esme flushed as she let the flavors explode in her mouth. "In the meantime, I'd like to sample some of your very fine dining. I'm sure it's much better when you home cook it with passion!"

Nicolae just grinned, picking up a piece of shrimp for himself and putting it in his mouth. “Well, we’ll work out a time okay, darling wife. And we’ll make plans to travel the world. It will be wonderful.” He winked then just seemed pleased. At least this restaurant did have class. The meal was free and Esme seemed happy. It couldn’t hurt just to cook for her…
Nobody could get attached that quickly. So, from here on out he would go with the flow. Enjoy this free dinner…then call Esme later to follow up with another date. It was splendid. Splendid indeed. He gave the pink haired teen another smile, then downed the rest of his water, preparing to eat the rest of the food and plan for another date.
