"It doesn't. I wish I could find some out there... perhaps have some grow near my den." She smiled a bit before moving toward him. "You're very easy to talk to. Thank you Trees." She nosed his shoulder scale.

"Ah, you're welcome," he blinked, pausing a moment before returning the gesture with a nuzzle against her shoulder, though she lacked the shoulder scales of a Kimeti. Odd, but he wasn't about to complain--the smooth back scales of an Acha were appealing in a different way, and not really thinking about it he nosed his muzzle over them curiously. "You could just stay and enjoy the flowers here for a while..."

"Oh, I do sometimes..." She smiled lightly at his attention. Not many seemed to pay this much mind to her appearance, so this was lovely. "But I'd need a place to sleep. Are you offering?"

"I know a nice dry clearing not too far from here. I don't use it too often, but it stays clean and comfortable, and no bugs." He offered up the pros quickly, trying to keep himself from being distracted by the golden scales that seemed all too much like shiny pebbles. Nothing quite like a pretty doe to keep a buck distracted...

"That sounds absolutely lovely." She smiled and sat down. "Should we continue searching?"

He lingered over her back scales a moment before pulling away and nodding. "Sounds like a good idea to me. A few more pebbles and I'll be happy." The Kimeti didn't particularly care to put his attention elsewhere just yet, but he clomped back over to the stream and resumed his searching anyway.

"Alright." She moved and nosed into the stream a bit, ears twitching. "Oh, that rock is lovely." It had flecks of gold within it. That was a very pretty one. A hoof slipped in to roll it out before she carefully balanced it on said hoof. "Would you like to have this one?"

picking up another pebble or two in the meantime, Trees lifted his head when she addressed him, shaking the water off his face before examining the rock she was balancing. It certainly was pretty... "You can keep it," he replied, remembering she had said she liked shiny more than color. And that gold definitely added a nice glimmer to the rock.

"Are you sure?" She seemed surprised, moving the rock carefully onto her nose, eyes widened slightly at him. "If you are, then I suppose thank you!" It was quite lovely. She smiled at him.

"Of course. I'd hate to take it from the matching set." With a laidback smile he flicked his tail towards her gold speckled back to indicate what he meant. "Think nothing of it." He pawed at the stream a little for one last check, then gave himself a good shake to remove any remaining moisture, feeling ready to call it quits for the day.

She gave a soft laugh before touching noses with him. "You're very sweet. Thank you."

Well there was another surprise--he returned the nose touch lightly, making sure not to disturb the rock balancing atop her snout. "If you're done looking for the day, I can show you to that clearing?"

She laughed lightly. "If you could please." She moved to the pool she'd made. "And these are yours as well. Don't forget them." The rocks were pretty clean after all.

"Ah, right." He quickly moved to scoop up the rocks in his mouth (it made him look like a chipmunk, but he felt it was easier than trying to balance them on his back), then started off on a dry path, making sure the ground was solid enough to keep from dropping Dust into any nearby water with solid clomping hoofsteps. It took several minutes of travel, but they finally arrived at a nice sandy clearing, framed by cattails and a few saplings. Rather a nice place to settle for the night, Trees thought, glancing at the sinking sun as he found a good spot to drop the pebbles in his mouth.

She knelt and set the stone down, smiling lightly. "It's very pretty here. Why couldn't I find this my first few visits?" Dust turned her attention to the male.
