She took the towel from him and dabbed her face dry before responding. " I didn't have Kenny do anything. I sent Marc a note, I didn't know he wasn't going to come." She stared at her hands for a moment.
" I'd have come to you but I thought a simple note would have been a simple idea and didn't need help." If this kept up she was going to start questioning all her personal dealings. Sighing she placed the damp towel to the side and laid her cheek against the hand on her shoulder. "Thanks. Sorry about blubbering. She popped her neck and took a couple of deep breaths to make sure this was out of her system.
It wasn't, and on impulse gave Attor a hug. " You're a great friend."

"Then Kenny shouldn't have gotten involved, he should have know it would have gone bad." Ok so Attor didn't like Kenny that much so far, but he had more then one reason behind it.
"Please don't be sorry for it. I really shouldn't have asked you to stop crying. I...just don't like seeing you upset." Attor admitted. Sometimes it worried him how quickly she could shake emotion from her system. He couldn't even do it as well as she could.
Attor hugged her back and frowned his eye lips dropping a bit. Yep just friends, great friends maybe, but friends none the less. He had to get over this, he didn't want to end up upsetting Von more. "Thanks now lets spare hmm? You can take out some of your frustration on me...I probably deserve it for something or other." Attor said with a laugh moving to put tape on his hands.

Von nodded in agreement. Maybe she should run that by him, but truth be told he was probably trying to avoid her anger had Marc not shown up. Sighing she finished composing herself and followed Attor to the tape." I highly doubt you've done anything, Dragon. Though I may pretend your Marc or Kenny. The jerks, complicating my life." She gave him a half smile and winked.
She taped her hands in almost perfect mimicry of his, after all he'd taught her all the basics last year. The necklace jangled when she moved and she carefully tucked it under her shirt. She didn't wear jewelry but she highly doubted she'd leave her room without this one.

"You never know." Attor said with a laugh though he really loved that nickname. "Just don't forget I'm still Attor, I don't want to get knocked out cause you put Marc or Kenny's face over mine." He snorted before walking over the the mat to wait for her to show she was ready.
He caught hint of how she moved the jewelry to a safer spot, it made him frown for half a moment. Oh how he hoped that locket didn't open. He would just die trying to figure out how to explain so personal of a gift to her.

As he stepped away she smiled. " Nah I can't pretend that well.Plus you move differently than them." She took her place on the mat and took a second to confirm she was in the correct stance. She looked at Attor for confirmation. She felt a calm fall over her as she prepared for the spar.
Unlike Kenny and Marc, Attor treated her like an equal and would knock her on her arse if able, and she enjoyed the challenge. In fact she thrived on it and usually after their sessions she'd felt as if she'd been on the best drugs in the world. She signaled that she was ready and stepped forward. After all she was slightly shorter than him.

"I do how so?" Attor had a less concentrated look on his face. Kick boxing was becoming a second nature for him and talking during a fight really wasn't that hard anymore. Thought his mind was more distracted today and he was pretty sure she was gonna land some good hits on him.
Normally he waited for her to take the first shot, but he had to prove to himself he could still fight with her just the same as before. Quickly he shot out a leg trying to knock her off balance. He cursed inwardly he could tell the power was held back. Maybe if she got a punch or something in on him it would shake him to his proper senses about this.

Vonali saw the kick coming and twisted just slightly for it to glance off her calf. She raised an eyebrow at Attor and pivoted back before throwing a punch to his right. She'd used the back step to give her a bit more momentum as she stepped forward for the punch. And was able to get a glancing blow off his cheek.
Her eye narrowed. " Don't tell me you've traded in dancing for fighting." She did not need him pulling his punches for her and the thought made her blood boil. Nothing flared faster than her anger and after the past couple of days it didn't take much. " Bloody hell! Hit me. I know you're better than me!" With that she stepped forward again this time aiming for his knee.

Attor sputtered a bit she had gotten a decent hit in he was still not in the mood for this right now. He had pictured this day going way differently then it had. Von couldn't know what was going on in his head though, so he had to ignore the feelings that tugged at him as she mocked him slightly.
There was a twinge of something in Attor's eyes he wasn't pulling his punches for her. Not in the way she thought anyways. Suddenly he shook his head and dodged her as she slipped passed him he threw a punch for her gut. Suddenly he was feeling angry, not only could he not tell her what was on his mind, but she was mocking him. This was a bloody horrid day now in his opinion and he wasn't about to be mocked on top of it all.

She saw the hit come and she grinned. As she doubled over she clunched her midsection before spinning to keep him in sight. " There's Dragon. Welcome to the game." She straightened a twinkle of excitement in her eye. She loved fighting and it showed as she drew close to Attor. She feinted another right hook to his face but swung out her leg against his midsection hard.
It felt good to release all of her stress but she did feel a bit bad for Attor. He didn't deserve this, just another thing those two had ruined for her. She was angry again as she twirled to keep an eye on her current opponent.

Attor did his best to concentrate it was clear how he didn't answer he back like he normally did. He tried to dodge her leg but his movements were to slow again. He gave out a grunt Attor just wasn't focused, his mind seemed cloudy. All he really wanted to do was go to the dorms and pout about all this. Down it with a chocolate fog or something.
Attor moved himself realizing he had backed to close to the circle's edge. He supposed her hits were so hard cause she really was letting out her stress about Kenny and Marc. Well good Attor was good for something he thought in a bitter way before retracting it in his mind. He shouldn't get upset it wasn't like she had said she was interested in him the other day. It just had felt like it.
Attor huffed a bit fighting his frustration and slight hurt by throwing a combo at Vonali. Something he didn't do to her often cause it was for more advanced fighters, but again he wasn't thinking strait. His leg lashed at her followed by a punch to counter is she dodged that way quickly followed by a hook from his other hand.

Vonali smiled as she saw him finally let go of whatever it was that was bugging him and she managed to dodge the first two attacks but got slammed by the second punch. She lost her balance and managed to twirl herself upright.
She ignored the small line of blood running down her lip. She was all about the combat and she circled Attor just slightly out of his reach. After a moment she did a quick step in and swung at the back of his knee hoping to knock it out from under him.

Attor stopped the blood an his eyebrow twitched. She had done well on that attack, but Attor felt guilt cause he knew he shouldn't have throw that at her.
He shouldn't have stayed on the thought to long cause he felt a sharp kick to his knee and he fell over. Attor hit the mat and it knocked the wind out of him. Every good fighter knew when they should just stay down so he did, just staring at the mat for a moment. She had wanted a short practice anyways perhaps this would be enough for her today. "Uhh..." Attor couched pulling himself up. "You've really improved Von." Well that and Attor sucked today. He would have to pay her back for this when his pride or what ever it was, wasn't so recently wounded.
Sitting up he still looked at the floor for the moment. "You think that's enough for today? I wouldn't want to keep you here to late after all." Attor turned his head up to smile at Von, but he knew she might see something was off and he had already prepared a come back in case she did.

Von saw he wasn't looking and when he went down she followed. She was out of breath and flopped on her butt to catch her breath. " Yea we can stop there. I'll need to grab a shower and stuff." As she sat there she looked at Attor, right as he looked at her and something in his eyes told her something was wrong but there was no way he felt ready to tell her so she just gave him her normal smirk.
" Maybe next time you'll give me a good fight.I know you've got something else on your mind, so I won't razz ya too bad about it." She winked and got up to untape her hands. " But next time I expect to get my arse whooped." Something about the look he gave her had felt familiar but she couldn't place it.

Attor ruffled his hair a bit thinking he might need a shower now too. He hated the feel of sweat on him plus showers always helped him think strait.
His head hung a little bit as she admitted she had caught that something was wrong. She was bound to though, she knew he was better at fighting like this on top of the emotion he hadn't been able to hid.
Since she didn't ask what was wrong he hadn't bothered with the lie he had worked up for a reply. He couldn't face telling her the real reason behind his gift right now if ever. He didn't want it to risk their friendship in anyway. He had easily settled his emotions in the past he could do it now to. Besides there were plenty of girls willing to date him. In fact he still had one scheduled with Naomi even though it sounded like it was just going to feel weird for at the moment. "Sorry I was out of it. I promise next time I'll have my head on my shoulders. Its nothing but silly useless thoughts bouncing around in my head anyways." Attor said getting up his knee felt a little sore but he was determined not to show it as he removed the tape from his hands.

Von's date had gone well but today had been emotionally draining and she was ready to let her head hit the pillow. She'd changed for bed and tossed the necklace on her bedside table and was starting to tuck herself in when a familiar song started to play near her ear. She hurried to find the source afraid of waking her roommates. Spotting the opened locket she quickly shut it.
As she laid there in the dark grasping the necklace her mind floated back to when she'd met up with Attor. He had wanted to ask her something, what if he'd wanted to court her! She sat straight up. The next images that flashed through her head included his excuse to leave, and how he'd been so distracted that day. "Oh dear, I've gone and ruined another friendship. Wait, maybe if I don't let on that I know... Yea that might work." She laid back down and fell asleep and tucked into her palm was her new necklace.
