"Never had it with pear..." She muttered more to herself to reconsider the drink before turning back to her task. Cutting up green and red apples as she wasn't sure which flavor PL was looking for. "Okay."

“You should try it.” She trotted back with the blender, replacing it to its spot on the table. There were already a supply of freshly squeezed lemon juice and PL added it to the blender, along with some crushed ice. “I think the green apples will go nicer. Let’s try that first.”

Barley put the red apple slides in a bowl then dropped the green ones in the blender after taking the peel off. "Okay, there we go!" She smiled and went on to nom on some of the apple seeds.

“I also have a juicer.” Pink Lemonade explained as she added a few scoops of sugar. “But I decided I’d only do things in the blender today.” She turned on the blender, keeping it going until it was a chunky liquid. Pouring a small amount into a cup, she offered it first to Barley. “What does it need?”

"Ya got a lot of stuff for drinks. Very lucky" Barley smiled and looked down at the drink, taking a little sip. "Hmmm....a pinch of salt, I think."

“Of course. My Mama Lemon always tells me ‘don’t do things by half’ so I started a lemonade stall. The business experience is great and I use the money I make to buy everything I need.” She added a pinch of salt to the main batch and gave it a quick extra blitz. “I want to do my best, you see? So I have to work hard.” She poured another cup. “How about now?” Taking a sip herself, she frowned. “Too tart, but refreshing.”

"That's great. Quiet the system ya got there. I bet ya'll really be the best, people all about will come to drink at your bar." Barley nodded with a grin and took a sip of the new drink. "Hmmm..I don't know, I kinda like it."

“Well, thanks! I’ll be sure to offer you a free drink if you come around.” PL smiled. “See, that’s the trick! Everyone has different tastes. I have to make sure I have something right for everyone.” She finished off her little cup, wrinkling her nose slightly at how sour it was. Being used to sweets as a major food in her diet made it hard to handle anything that wasn’t completely full of sugar. “What should we make now?”

"Yeah, that's the thing. You got to have something for everyone. I know! You could invite a buncha of different phonies, like ten of them, give them a lot of different drinks. Any drink nophony likes, you chuck out." Barney finished off her own cup and then looked towards the table. "Oh, I read this in a magazine. How about one with veggies in it? Like..um...Pineapple...and orange...and carrots! Cause those work in baking too, so maybe they will work in a drink!"

“Hey, that’s a really good idea!” PL looked absolutely delighted and scribbled a quick note in her notebook. “That sounds interesting. I’ve seen a few recipes mentioning carrots, but I haven’t tried it yet.” She looked towards her parents stable. “I’m not sure if we have any carrots though…” She lowered her voice slightly. “My parents don’t like vegetables very much. Well, Mama Candy doesn’t. That’s for sure. I’ve only ever seen her eat candy…”

Barley nodded quickly but slowly down, her eyebrows knitting together for a moment. "You have two mamas?" She shook her head quickly and rested her chin on the table. "Well I could run home real quick and get us some veggies. Mah brother doesn't touch them for cooking and I am sure mama won't mind me taking a couple."

“Yep.” PL answered with a smile, eating a nearby strawberry that had been looking far too yummy for its own good. “Well, you can if you want to, or we can just use what we’ve got here. I don’t mind. If there are any tomatoes at your house, you should grab them too… oh, and some celery.”

"I think it's best I go get vegetables from my house, its just two kicks from here." Barley grinned, giving no second thought about the other's parenting. "I'll be back in a bit!" She trotted off quickly, coming back ten minutes later with a couple of saddle bags fulled with vegetables. "I got tomatos, celery, carrots and urugu...aru..arugula?...something like that...."

While Barley was off getting the vegetables, PL cleaned up their work space, grabbed a few more supplies from inside and carted the awkwardly big juicer from inside. She placed it next to the blender and then sat back to admire her most expensive piece of equipment. When Barley returned, she welcomed her new friend with a big smile. “Oh, you brought heaps! Well done! Whatever arugula is I’m sure it will work nicely with the rest. Let’s empty them onto the table and we can prepare them.” Tristam Lockhart How about we time skip past the preparation onto when the drink is made and they try it? It can be absolutely horrible or something, and cue laughter. <3 Or we can keep rping and go for the original plan, your call.

Ruriska I think a skip ahead will do nicely(or we'll be here for another week XD) Barley empty the saddle bags onto the cleared space. The preparations of the first drink went well, as well the second, and the third, and fourth and fifth. They each have five little cups in front of them by them, full to the brim with more smoothie then actual drink. The colors of the drinks going from orange to red, to green. The fifth one was an odd green brown color. The green filly gave the drinks an odd look then looked at her new friend. "...you go first."
