He stared at her for a long moment as he held onto her shoulders, "...You look, fine. You need a bath and a bit more rest but you look fine," his words were sincere but honest, his hand directed over toward his dresser, "I got some t-shirts and stuff over there. Just take a nice hot shower and things'll look better."
Kettil would, grudgingly, also let her get her fresh clothes from her own room but that wasn't the point. He was willing to let her borrow his.
Carefully he let go of her shoulders so she could do what she felt like doing at that moment.

Freya turned her head to look at his dresser, and there was a long, heavy silence as she stared for a moment, before turning back to look at him again.
Her expression was very serious, very deep.
".. Can I borrows yehr owl boxers?"
Very deep indeed.

He wasn't sure if he should blush or laugh as he stared back at her before he cleared his throat a little bit, "Ah, sure thing, Princess," he smiled at her finally. "Get whatever ya need. Later I'll help ya get your room in order, too."
Because he couldn't see himself letting her do that on her own.

A dramatic change overcame the ghoul. She had gone from breakdown to blissful in all of 2 seconds. She let out a little squeal, clapped her hands, and hugged him around the neck, smacking his cheek with a kiss. Then she pulled away and went searching for the set of boxers that she would borrow.
And by borrow of course I mean keep, sucks to be you Kettil.
Once she had her prize, and a t-shirt to boot, she headed straight for the shower. She wanted a shower so bad, it ached in her bones. The hot water, and being clean.. it was everything she wanted and more.
But as soon as she stepped into the hot water, all the scratches and cuts on her legs made themselves hyperly aware. There were several hissing sounds and cursing coming from the shower, as time went on.

The kiss on the cheek was rewarded with a blush and a bit of a grin as he returned the hug and then let her go get the clothes she wanted and then take a shower. Kettil, meanwhile, went to cook in the kitchen likeagoodbitch.
As the sound of cursing was dimly heard through the wall while he cooked he only paused for a moment and rubbed the back of his neck, "...Sounds like she's having fun," it was a sarcastic comment met with a small almost nervous chuckle. Glad it wasn't him.
Soon he finished breakfast, one plate on that plate he put a pile of scrambled eggs, two forks, and toast. Kettil stared at the arrangement before he got out a couple of glasses and added some juice to that menu. That's better!

The water was turned off, and there were only a few more curses as Freya wiped herself dry, but eventually the door opened and she walked out. She was carrying her hair on one side, shaking the moisture out of it, but at least now she was clean.
She stopped in front of the food, and tapped her nose with one finger. "Is missing somethings.." Was she critiquing his food? What an ungrateful little- "AHA! Meats. Is missings teh meats." With that revelation, she sat down, propped her feet up on her chair, and started poking at the eggs. She gave Kettil a wide, easy smile.
"Thanks yeh for makings me breakfast." She singsonged.

He stared at her when she said something is missing, Kettil almost squinted at her in fact until she said something about meat. Well, then, "I can make some bacon if you want," he offered simply as she started poking at the eggs, it gave him some hope.
"Mmm? It was nothing. I can make breakfast like a pro now," he said with a bit of pride and a chest pat. Yep, call him Mister Breakfast.
...Nevermind that he burned some eggs earlier.

"No, is okay. I just knows what breakfast was supposed teh looks like, so when I looks at it.. anyway, we'll be lucky if I actually keeps any of this down." She laughed, but the laugh choked when she realized how bad that sounded. "N-Not that yehr food doesn't looks delicious! Is perfect! Everythings is perfect! Is just.." Did she even have to explain herself to Kettil? He knew her inside and out.. he knew what she meant.
She quieted down, and put her legs down so she could focus on the food. Then she picked up a spoonful of eggs and ate them.
...
They were the blandest tasting eggs she'd ever had. He hadn't seasoned them at all. Her face showed none of this tragedy, and she gave him a sweet smile.
"Is good!" She murmured, taking another bite.

Knowing his luck seasoning the eggs would have set up some sort of puke mechanism so he erred on the safe side. Still, it was sweet of her to lie like that to him. Very, very sweet.
You know what else is sweet?
He didn't catch on, "Glad you like them," he said simply before he took a taste of his own cooking, paused.
Now he caught on.
... Kettil sighed and went to get the salt and pepper and set them down in front of her, "You do it."

Freya had a mouthful of eggs puffing up her cheeks when he got up, and she chewed slowly as she watched him get the condiments. When he put them down in front of them, she started laughing, which was really sexy because eggs were still in her mouth. She coughed, swallowed, and grinned.
"I still loves them." She announced, rather proud of herself for having eaten at all/ "Because yeh mades them." But nonetheless, when salt and pepper were placed in front of her, she intended to use them. She shook the salt over her eggs, and then pepper. She made to put them down, but when she saw his eggs, it just felt natural. She salt and peppered them too.
Then she mixed her eggs up with the fork, and dug in. Much better.

He said nothing as she very sexily laughed with food in her mouth, he just grinned sheepishly, "Forgot a step or two while cookin' so sue me," he said softly and then let her season not just her eggs but his as well. Kettil mixed up his own eggs a bit before he dug back in, much better.
"Mmm? I..I'm glad ya do," he said quietly with a bit of a smile. Kettil usually depended on someone else to cook most of his meals but now he was pretty much trying to do it on his own for a while, usually it ended up poorly.
Kettil poked at the eggs a little seeming thoughtful, "I'm proud and happy that you're eating Freya, it gives me a lot of hope that you're getting better."

As soon as he pointed out that she was eating, Freya's forkings slowed to a halt, and she stared at the food with confusion. "I guess I am too.." She didn't know whether to feel glad that the food wasn't making her sick, or horrified that she was eating so much fat. Her eyes flickered up to his again, riddled with confusion. "But I don't understands what is changed. Why I can eats this, here, now, with yeh."
At the end, her voice got very quiet, and she sighed. She went back to poking her eggs idly, but she didn't take another bite.

"..I don't question blessings, Freya, I just accept them," he smiled a bit at her as he stared down at his eggs thoughtfully. "Anything that makes you happy and feel well is ... something that I am thankful for."
He shifted in his seat, "I mean...I didn't smile so much for a while after I got the letter but...When I am with you I am smiling again, like I've never stopped."

Anything that made her happy.
Freya moved her eggs around the plate in thought, then she piled them up, and made a little anthill. She still wasn't eating them.
The mention of the letter made her flicker her eyes up at him. She wanted to feel bad, but it was hard. Knowing that he smiled around her despite what she thought was probably the most painful time of his life..
She scooped up a bite of eggs, and shoved them in her mouth.
"I mows." She muffed through the giant forkful of eggs. "I feuf teh samf way."

She was such a charming Valkyrie sitting there with him, eating his food, talking to him with a mouthful of food. Truly this was the sexiest moment of her life and he was just so blessed to be with her during this time.
So, so, sooooooooo blessed.
He let out a chuckle of amusement, "...You fluff the samf? What is a samf?" he teased.
