Voltron continued to removed ice from his fur as the rooms temperature steadily dropped and he charged at the gastly again.

Jin-Gitaxias was burst apart by the blitzle, but instead of reforming, the gastly began to glow. He exploded in a magnificent display of pyrotechnics, the flames setting off the poisonous fumes lingering in the battlefield. Before the chain reaction could spread to outside the battling area, Mephistopheles erected a barrier, containing the explosion.
Jin-Gitaxias used his last ounce of energy to reform himself, and he was recalled to his pokeball by Lenore, who smiled gleefully at the sight of the explosion. "That was so cool."
Mephistopheles floated down to the fiery wreckage that was the stadium, and bowed. "My apologies for my partner's, ah, display. Let us resume, then." He waited patiently for the blitzle to regain its composure.

Houdini was startled by the bright light and following explosion, he hadn't seen anything like it while in the wild. Rearing up on his hind legs he tried to back out of the area but only manged to drive him self father in. Seeing the duskull enter the field he calmed down a bit and stood on all fours again. He dipped his head it Mephistopheles before responding. "Its all right."
Keria sighed with relief when she saw that Houdini had manged to compose himself and that he didn't seem to be backing down. "Houdini Toxic!"
The bitzle attempted to get closer to Mephistopheles before launching a toxic substance at the duskull.

The toxin seeped into Mephistopheles' cloak, burning the duskull. However, Mephistopheles merely raised his arms, summoning shadowy tendrils to attack the blitzle.

Houdini struggled against the shadowy tendrils that warped themselves around him. He gathered a beam of electrical energy and then absorbed it.
