Avahk wasn't entirely certain why she'd asked him, but the fact that she said the name he'd made up was, in fact, her name, made him feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
"I'm glad," he replied. "It's a very pretty name, for a very pretty lioness." He pawed the ground nervously, unsure of what to do or say next.
"Um, do you want to come and stay the night, Tseva? It'll be safer in the pride's lands proper, instead of all the way out here," he told her. He hated to admit it, but he got a thrill calling her by the name he'd given her.

"A place to stay the night would be wonderful," she answered, eyes shining. If he got a thrill from calling her by her new name, it wasn't nearly as wonderful as the feeling she got from hearing it. Or maybe it was because he was the one using it. It was still so new, she couldn't be certain yet.
"Lead the way!" she invited Avahk, looking forward to what else the other lion might show her.
