Mitsu hadn't even noticed the lights, instead she was too focused on staring out into the fog trying to discern where the voice had come from. Soon at least she was greeted with the sight of Poke who looked to be distinctively lacking in a gray and misty appearance. That deemed her as safe. For now at least.
It confused her though when she asked Xiu to beat her. The lycan's brows furrowed, taking a slow step back. Perhaps she had gone a little crazy after all?

"Maybe. Though I don't recall seeing any horsemen shortly before we ended up here," Shun stated. While he kept Mitsu close, he turned towards Poke, soon narrowing his eye at her.
"Don't be stupid. The last thing we need right now is to be killing one another. There's no telling what's around us so just suck it up. If you still want a beating when we get out of this, I can oblige but now is not the time for that nonsense," he said a little sharply to the dragon.
Letting out a breath, he looked back towards the lights. Xiu asked if they were a good or bad sign, but quite frankly, he wasn't sure what they were. They could mean a couple of different things. They could be signs of others in the area, or be something else entirely.
"Perhaps we should see if there are more of these lights.."

Xiu's eyes widened slightly as Poke came into view, a few seconds ticking by in silence as the baku stared at the other ghoul. However, just Xiu's lips began to curl upwards in a relieved, welcoming smile, she was suddenly caught off guard by the dragon's collapse and her following request.
Xiu glanced over to Shun as the reaper began to speak, and then squared her shoulders, marching over to where Poke was kneeling. She reached out, but rather than strike the ghoul, the baku made an effort to haul her back up to her feet. "Aniki's right, Poke. And besides, I don't blame you for what happened. You weren't yourself, and so I would never condemn you for the attack."
And after all, Xiu knew first-hand what it was like to be consumed by insanity and attack friends. With a little shudder, she shook the thought away for now, trying to guide Poke back to where Shun and Mitsu were.
"Yes. I'm curious what those lights are, and they're the only things that we can see in this fog anyways."

Shun's words were a surprise to the dragoness. Instead of rushing at her, all she got was a few sharp glares and a "suck it up" comment. And when Xiu approached, she didn't attack her either. Poke allowed herself to be pulled up, stunned at the baku's reaction. There was no anger from any of them, just kind words and forgiveness.
"...Right then..." She said softly, moving towards the others at Xiu's direction. They were right, she had to suck it up. Regards of what she did...now she had to focus on doing what she could to prevent it from happening again. With a thankful smile to everyone, she turned her sights towards the strange lights that she had neglected to notice before. It was the only thing that could be seen in the area, a beacon that could lead them to safety, or more danger. For now she was happy just to keep close to everyone else. The last thing she wanted to do was to be separated.
"I wouldn't mind knowing what the hell those lights are doing here." she mused out loud. "And whats creating them, too."

Things had finally calmed down and Mitsu allowed herself to focus on the lights that everyone was so interested in. She wasn't sure what they meant or where they came from but like most things here she was leery of them. More than likely nothing good could come from them and so she stayed where she was, crimson eyes staring off into the thick fog that surrounded them. She could barely see a meter in front of her let alone beyond them to their surroundings. Insanity creatures could be lurking all around them just waiting to pick them off.
"W-what now?" She asked in a quiet strained voice, eyes distant as she focused on nothing. It seemed she had finally suppressed the fear and anxiety down enough that all she felt now was numb.

The lights were curious indeed. And since Poke stopped with her little spiel, Shun directed his attention to them. Obviously something or someone was creating these lights. For now there seemed to be two... but there could very well be more.
When Mitsu asked what they were to do now, he went ahead and started to walk.
"I'm going to go see if I can find another of these lights. There has to be something to them. Either follow me or remain here. I'll be back soon," he said. Never mind that it was not the easiest to navigate this place, but he would find some way. They found each other by voice. Perhaps they could do the same. Or if they all came along, that would be a non issue.
Not really waiting, he continued to walk along. He didn't really spot any other lights like he thought he would, but there was something a little odd to the side. Turning to see what it was exactly, he soon noticed that it was some sort of barrier. Was it.. absorbing light? That wasn't exactly normal. For a moment, he was trying to decide whether he should investigate further or double back to report his findings to the rest of the group, but then he heard a number of footsteps rushing close.
Narrowing his eye, he had his daggers ready, expecting an attack. However, the figures came short.
...Boogeymen? What the hell were they doing here? The Reaper was a little less than pleased and had half a mind to abandon them right away. However.. there could be something to learn here. If the Boogeymen were investigating this mess, they may know something. Maybe. Just maybe he could pick up on it.
Maybe.
So, begrudgingly, he dismissed his daggers and followed them. He planned on returning to the group soon still, once he found out what was going on here. If he could do that.

Mitsu had been so focused on the lights she only turned around as Shun walked off her eyes wide as she immediately lost him in the fog. "S..Shun." She moved further toward where she had seen him vanish but he was no where in sight. Not that she could see far ahead but somewhere along the line she had lost him.
Panic begins in 3...2...1
Her breathing began to quicken, her hands shaking as she tried to listen or even smell Shun to pick him out of the fog. The air was so dense though it was a wonder she didn't get lost from the others. But where had he gone? Didn't he know it was dangerous to wander off on his own?
Fretting now she took hold of the hem of her hoodie and started wringing it in her hands.

Noting Mitsu's panic, Xiu reached out and rest a hand on the ghoul's shoulder, lifting her other hand to point ahead. "I think he went that way."
Sure enough, upon further inspection, there seemed to be some kind of...barrier amidst the fog of insanity. And was that a figure approaching them? The baku tensed up at first, tail bristling, but she found herself relaxing slightly when she recognized the person to be a boogeyman. But...what were they doing out here?
When he identified himself and offered to bring them to their base, Xiu hesitated, casting a quick look over her shoulder at Mitsu and Poke. After a moment of consideration, she gave a small nod of her head. "I think...I'm going to go check it out too. Whether you guys follow is up to you, but if you want to stay here, I promise I'll be back really quickly, okay?" Honestly, she didn't know if this guy really was a boogeyman, and if they really did have a base here...but if they did, then it would be wise to check it out.

While Poke had heard the reaper, she had not expected him to walk off so quickly, and before she realized it he had disappeared in the fog. "...Oy" So much for a team effort. But as soon she gazed into the mists, Mitsu began to panic without the reaper around.
Her gazed turned to the lycan, concerned for her wellbeing. It had been some time since she had seen Mitsu, and it was obvious she had been through hell and back. Now, instead of the friendly ghoul she had seen before, she was left with a shaken individual who didn't want to be away from Shun. Considering how she had been clinging to the boil ever since she had arrived.
Thankfully Xiu had seen the direction he went in, so she followed the two untill she saw the baku tense. And for good reason too; someone had approached them, and she was instantly on guard too, growling at the newcomer. She eased off when it was introduced as a boogymen, nodding when Xiu said she would follow him.
"You wanna go as well?" Poke then asked Mitsu, She wanted to follow as well, but she wouldn't leave the lycan by herself. Not when she was in this state.

Mitsu nearly jumped when Xiu placed a hand on her shoulder, looking back at the baku only to turn to see what she was staring at. There was a moment where Mitsu thought it was Shun coming back to get her but instead it was a stranger. Instantly the fur on her tail began to bristle out, her body tense. Boogeyman or not she didn't trust them. Maybe that was just Shun rubbing off on her but she was leery to follow Xiu at first.
With a hesitant look back at Poke the lycan shrugged lightly and kept close to the baku hoping they would run into Shun along the way.

And then were back in the fog once again. However, Shun furrowed his brow as they didn't quite seem to be in the haunted house at the moment. No. There was something else familiar about this place. The fog now formed tents and booths. It was reminiscent of Fright Night, only with far less people all around.
"Odd..." he murmured before glancing back towards Mitsu to make sure she was close. It was also to check if the other two were here as well. If they weren't careful, it would likely be easy to get separated in this dense mist.
"Do you see anything odd..?"
Aside from the fact that the fog had formed into their latest festival.

As they got closer to the forms Mitsu had seen earlier she realized why it looked familiar. Tents...booths...it was the festival. The only thing that made it different was the lack of color and how eerily empty it was as compared to before.
Following close to Shun Mitsu looked over the unmanned booths, stopping for a moment to reach for what looked like an apple. Her hand wrapped around it and then moved through it, the apple turning to mist before reforming back the way it was when she moved away.
Odd? What wasn't odd about this place?
"It's..." There was a pause before she managed to push out another word. "Quiet." And it was, maybe a little too quiet for her liking. There wasn't even the moans and creaks that the haunted house offered them. There was nothing but them. At least until the cheery laughter started in the distance. Her eyes widened looking for others but there was still no one to see.

Jacking hell she did not like this place at all. At least she had the reassurance of the older adults back at the base, but here it was just her, Xiu, Mitsu, and Shun. It was hard to muster up her usual bravado. She still felt the guilt from her actions, no matter how much Xiu said it wasn't her fault. The fact of the matter was, she lacked the strength to fight the insanity creatures, and because of that...
Pushing the gloomy thoughts aside, she noticed the fog had changed. It wasn't as dense, and she could even make out buildings. Or booths, to be precise. The dragon ghoul moved closer to them, taking the time to reminiscence about the excitement of fight night.
"And to think, it wasn't that long ago I was going mad for tokens and tarts" She said out loud, reaching for a bowl of tokens and watching it dissolve into fog. She could even hear laugher and music, but it was a distant sound, a echo of happier times.

When they emerged from the safety of the base, Xiu had expected to see...well, nothing, really. When they had left this area, it had been nothing but a dense, impenetrable fog...but such was not the case anymore. She instinctively bristled when she noticed that the scenery had changed, only to gape in confusion when she realized that this place suddenly looked...well, familiar.
"Is this...Fright Night?" Or at the very least, it was definitely some kind of phantom illusion of the festival. Like the others, she curiously reached out towards the tents, shivering when her fingers simply slid through the seemingly solid objects. And that eerie laughter in the background...
"We...we'd best be on our guard."
