(Ah yes, sorry. Math fail earlier.)
The branch was quite easy to sidestep as it fell lifelessly to the ground. Then she cast a critical eye over the ghost. The ice seemed dangerously thin, so she decided to try and thicken it.

The ice fell apart as the second beam came at him, and Mephistopheles quickly put up his hands, forming a shimmering barrier around himself. He was too late, however, and the ice punched through the shield and froze him again.

Sentry eyed the shimmering field warily as it dissipated, but it didn't seem to do much. This ice was a more satisfactory thickness, so she began retaliating. First she decided to weaken him a bit, so she tossed another dark orb at him.

Being continually beaten with a branch was starting to take its toll on Sentry. She tried again to freeze the ghost and make it stop.

That nest whack of the branch made Sentry's knees wobble. It was really starting to take a toll on her, she knew she couldn't take another hit. In a last-ditch effort to stop it, she fires off one more Ice Beam.

Mephistopheles was too slow to intercept the ice with the branch, and he dropped it to the ground. Putting his hands out before him, he drew up a shimmering barrier. The ice pierced through, however, and he was frozen again.
