ᵴephir Ӂ Ӻriagne {Street Rat / Violin Extraodinaire} "Dance with me amongst the strings, Where our burdens are lifted by song. Fear not the judgement of passers by, For they do not understand the joy of our melody." Sephir stayed silent for a while to let Stella get all her questions out before they had a chance to be forgotten, idly looking from her, to the sky and to the area around them as he made a mental note of everything she asked. Once she had finished, Seph rubbed his chin in thought slightly before pointing to a street nearby. "Well first, there's a shop down that way that hands out second-hand or donated clothing for those who can't afford the best of the best. Quality isn't really an option here, but the owners take care of washing it all, so it's not like they'd be covered in filth as you put them on." He told her, letting his pointing hand swing towards another street as he moved onto her next question. "There's an old building just on the outskirts of town that way. I don't know what it used to be, but it's been abandoned years for now, apart from a few others that seek shelter in there too. They may not always be the most pleasant of company at times when I see them, but they're good people." He explained, lowering his hand for a moment and looking back to Stella. Honestly, he was a little ashamed that he couldn't help her get somewhere more comfortable than where he was, but it was still a step up from leaving her out in the cold. "I know it's not an any-star hotel by any stretch of the imagination, but it's the safest place I know. I'm the only one living on the third floor, which is a pretty large area. I'll have to fill you in on the details when we need to head in." When it came to Stella's final question, Sephir had to pause for just a moment. Here was this girl, someone who had lived a life that probably looked luxurious compared to his own, and she was asking him for guidance, maybe even a little support. Seph wasn't sure what to make of it all entirely, but what he could establish was that he wouldn't be able to turn her down, not at this point. "But why is that Sephir? You don't owe her anything, you don't benefit from looking after another mouth to feed...why is it that you're willing to do all this?" He thought to himself, though an answer came rather quickly. "Because one, I'm a sucker for a pretty face." He argued with his mind. "And two, I've seen what happens when people are left to fend for themselves for the first time."
Before getting too caught into his thoughts, Sephir looked up to the sky and gave a small sigh. "I can't tell you that you'll get used to this in no time...and I can't promise that things'll get any easier." He told Stella, trailing off to shift his gaze back to her, he smiled slightly at her. "What I can promise, though, is that I'll do everything that I can to make sure you'll last long enough to get out of here the way you want to." For a brief moment, Sephir's smile turned into a slight smirk before his attention moved to the water in the fountain. "But to do that, you're going to have to follow my instructions to the letter, got it? Chances are I'll probably become a bit of a pain in the a** doing so, but it's all to help you get to your uncles, okay?" He told her. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he'd have to be a little tough on Stella as she adapted to this lifestyle, especially when it came to night. With that said, however, it wasn't like he was going to make her learn everything on her own, he did say he was going to help after all.
{that's fine, I'll probably be on and off due to uni and such >.<}"The heart never gives in to silence, nor shall we as we dance under the stars. Never let the melody fade, As it is we who conduct this masterpiece."

Maybe they'd still be open and she could get some clothes. She followed his arm in the direction the abandoned building was. Well, at least they could take shelter someplace, but she had to wonder what the building once was. She'd figure it out when they got there. Stella turned back to face Sephir when he paused. She smiled at him when he agreed to help her. Without as much of a thought she hugged Sephir and because she had to leaned over to do so her head was against the spot just below his collarbone. "Thank you, Seph." she said as she hugged him. It took her a bit to realize that she was hugging him and probably shouldn't be since they really didn't know each other. Stella hesitantly pulled away from Sephir with a light pink blush that tinted her cheeks and smiled at him a bit nervously. "I'm going to . . . um . . . get some . . . clothes . . ." she said, still a bit embarrassed. She got up and quickly walked off in the direction of the nearby street.
Idiot...why'd you go and do that? she scolded herself. Before she could really answer herself she had bumped into a woman. She apologized then realized this was the store Sephir had told her about. The woman welcomed her into the store to take a look around, but when Stella said she needed clothes, and couldn't afford them the woman walked off then came back with a small stack of clothes, and handed them to Stella. The woman let Stella change in one of the changing rooms before she left. Stella walked back over in a pair of dark gray jeans that were kind of skinny with the bottoms of the jeans tucked into her boots. Her shirt was black with sleeves that went to her elbows. It wasn't anything fancy or dressy, but just a plain shirt. There were a couple other things in the small stack, but she just put them into her bag. She'd sell some of her older clothes if they wouldn't work. Sadly the woman didn't have any more jackets. Stella sat down next to Sephir again and looked around the park as the sun started to go down. x x

ᵴephir Ӂ Ӻriagne {Street Rat / Violin Extraodinaire} "Dance with me amongst the strings, Where our burdens are lifted by song. Fear not the judgement of passers by, For they do not understand the joy of our melody." Of the many things Sephir had expected to arise from the agreement to help out, suddenly having Stella throw her arms around him in a sort of hug was not one of them. Having his gaze still at the water, Seph's only real indication of this interaction was the feeling of Stella resting her head against his collarbone. This caught the boy off guard, causing him to blink and turn his attention to her. He was, admittingly, a little speechless, but as she broke away from him, Seph simply smiled and looked out to the streets. "Not a problem." He said, trying to appear nonchalant in regards to the hug, though the slight shade of pink that colored part of his cheeks broke any illusion of unfeeling. Looking back to her when she spoke again, Sephir simply nodded, watching carefully as Stella made her way to the shop. He couldn't really guage what to make of this girl, what did that hug mean? "It means..." His thoughts cut in. "That she appreciates the help and that you're over-analysing things." It told him, he simply sighed again, picking up the violin case and sitting it on his lap. In the corner of his mind, Sephir knew that he was close to hugging her in return.
When he caught sight of Stella again, he had to stop himself from raising an eyebrow in curiosity. The clothes she wore were much more suitable to their environment, yet she still looked rather stunning. Since he almost embarrassed himself by mimicking her gesture before, Sephir just kept his attention on the slowly setting sun. "We should start moving, if it gets too dark then getting to the building will be...tricky." He said, carefully estimating how much longer they had until the city was thrown into night. Of course, like all cities there was artificial lighting, but it was spread out quite a bit, more often than not there were large gaps of nothing but darkness, basically blindspots for less than desireable encounters. Standing slowly, Sephir stretched and extended his free hand to Stella, offering a warm smile as he did. "Pedestrian traffic isn't as bad at this time, but it's still best that we stick together just in case.""The heart never gives in to silence, nor shall we as we dance under the stars. She looked at the street and wondered what he meant by tricky, but she kind of understood or at least thought she understood part of it. The street lights were pretty well spaced out. They could only shed so much light and if some other them were broken that would be even worse given the fact that most people would attack when they couldn't be very well seen. She looked at Sephir again as he held out his hand to her after he stood up. Stella stood up and put her backpack on before she took Sephir's hand. "Lead the way." she smiled at him. She knew the general direction they were headed in, but there were probably twists and turns in order to get there. She wouldn't know what direction to go and she wouldn't until she got used to this area and where everything was located. She really couldn't wait to see the building and what the third floor looked like. Stella could only imagine that it would be dark and rather dusty. x x

ᵴephir Ӂ Ӻriagne {Street Rat / Violin Extraodinaire} "Dance with me amongst the strings, Where our burdens are lifted by song. Fear not the judgement of passers by, For they do not understand the joy of our melody." By the time Sephir and Stella started walking, a few street lights were already beginning to flicker on, some almost struggling to hold a decent glow. Shops were beginning to close down, apart from the odd restaurant or 24-hour convenience store, the city was on it's way to rest. Since less and less people were on the street, Sephir could pick up the pace a little, but not so much that Stella couldn't keep up comfortably, the effort would've been counterproductive if she were left behind. "I'm going to have to apologise in advance..." Sephir said, getting a little uneasy with the silence that was falling upon them, he never did well without some form of noise around him. "But sleeping in this place is going to need some...getting used to. You'll know what I mean when we get there." He said, casting her a light smile as if to say 'it could be worse'. When it came to optimism, Seph was practically a master, one had to be when facing such an environment on a daily basis. He had seen dozens of people giving up, which eventually resulted in their downfall or untimely demise, he hoped that Stella wouldn't be the same and lose her own hope of reaching her destination.
Before long, buildings started looking older, more so than the others anyway, some even looked ready to collapse at any given moment. Sephir slowed his pace down just a little, gaze shifting around every now and then, as if expecting something to happen as the two continued their path down the road. To his relief, today was a rather lucky day, they appeared to be the only ones around this part of Home at the time. For a moment, Sephir stopped walking, pausing for just a moment before nodding towards a building on the left corner of the road, just a short distance away. "There." He said, walking once again, leading Stella towards the building. Though it wasn't as badly damaged as some of the other buildings along this road, the one Sephir pointed out was pretty obvious just by appearance that the building was abandoned. A few broken windows, peeling paint, there was a sign on the window closest to the front door that had been completely rusted over, Sephir knew for a fact that it had said 'for lease'. The rusty gate that sat in stood between then and the entrance squealed in protest as it opened, almost echoing in the soon-to-be night. Approaching the door, the paint of that also peeling away, they were greeted by a three number combination lock just above the doorknob, it looked almost brand new by comparison. "Wouldn't want others just barging their way in and claiming the place, so I saved up enough for a few of these to put in." He explained, intentionally leaving out how long it took to save up for just one of them. "If you ever find yourself needing to get in and I'm not around, the code is 271. There's two other's you'll need to know: one to the stairs and one to the entrance of the third floor." He added, rolling the correct numbers into place, a small click could be heard from the other side of the door. In all honesty, Sephir hoped that it wouldn't have to come to Stella making her way here by herself. Opening the door carefully, hitting a small button on the lock so the numbers reset to zero, he lead Stella inside, shutting the door quietly behind him. They were now in a very long hallway, several doorways opened up to various rooms of the ground floor. Instead of going to any of these, Sephir took the two of them to the only other door on the opposite side of the hall. There, just like the on front door, sat another combination lock. "453" He said, quietly but loud enough for Stella to hear him. There on the other side of the door was a large stairway, spiralling upwards for what seemed like forever. Within a minute or two, another door was in fron of them, the door to the third floor. "907...well, Stella, welcome to my humble abode." He said, almost jokingly as he opened the door.
The area on the other side was quite large but, more surprisingly, almost completely carpeted. On the opposite side of the immediate room stood a wood stove that looked like the work of an amateur, a mismatch of metal nailed together, a large pipe coming out of the top and ending outside a window, no doubt to keep the smoke out of the room. Most of the windows were still in reasonable condition, ignoring how very dirty they were of course. Like the ground floor, it was a rather open area, open doorways that lead to other parts of the third floor, splintered bits of wall and wood indicating that there were once doors some time ago. Giving Stella's hand a small squeeze, Sephir smiled at her and let go, gesturing to follow as he walked through the closest doorway. Though Sephir was cryptic about what he meant when he was talking about the bed situation, it was quite clear when entering this room. Seph's 'bed' comprised of two mattresses stacked together, a blanket and pillow sat neatly on top. That was it, that was the extent of what Sephir was sleeping on during the nights. In the corner of the room sat several backpacks, varying in sizes and shapes. Setting his violin case down beside those bags, he took the blanket and pillow off of the mattresses and started to pull the top one off. "Again, sorry that this couldn't be a little more...proper...but I'm afraid I wasn't really expecting guests when I went out this morning." He said light-heartedly before nodding to one of the bags, a dark green and blue duffel bag. "There's an extra set of sheets and a pillow in there, plus a fitted sheet to go on top of this if you want it I think. I'll let you decide: would you be comfortable sleeping in the same room? Or would you rather I drag this over to the next room?" He asked, the smile still on his face, though he was being completely serious. Sephir wasn't particularly bothered by either decision, his only worry was Stella not being able to adjust to just sleeping on some mattress on the floor.
{Sorr for the delay >.< kinda picturing this as the outside of the building, though probably 5-6 stories high overall xP Oh and sorry for just throwing this wall of text at you...kinda let my fingers run on autopilot >.>}"The heart never gives in to silence, nor shall we as we dance under the stars. She was able to keep up pretty well since there weren't many people around, but that started to worry her. She didn't like silence and it the street lights had started to come on slowly. That was enough to make her worry as the sky started to cast a very dark blue and black blanket over the city. Stella mentally noted what the passed and what direction they went from the park. If she ever got lost all she'd have to do was find the park and she could make her way back to the building easily she hoped. Stella looked around at some of the placed that were still open as they moved through the street. Once the buildings she looked at started to get older she started to feel a bit more uneasy It might seem like they were alone, but there could have been people watching from the windows. She looked at the old building that they'd be staying at. It wasn't as bad as some of the buildings and it was standing. She stood next to Sephir as he explained that there were locks to keep people out. As they went through she repeated the numbers in her head.
When they finally reached the third floor she looked around. The place really needed to be cleaned. Stella would clean it, but she doubted there were any cleaning supplies. She looked at Sephir when he squeezed her hand and smiled at her. She let her hand drop to her side once he released her hand. Stella looked around one last time before she followed Sephir through a closet doorway. He hadn't been joking, but the didn't think he had been after seeing the place. She watched him move the top mattress onto the floor then ask if she wanted it in a different room. "I-It's fine in here," she quickly assured him. She knew he was joking and being serious, but she didn't want him to do anything else for her right now. Stella could move the bed herself once she got a bit more comfortable with the place. For now she'd feel better just being able to sleep in the same room with someone she could trust. If Sephir was going to rob her he could have done that a while ago. If he planned to rape her she doubted he'd go through the effort to bring her here. "Thanks again, Seph." she smiled at him warmly. She grabbed the blanket and the pillow and plopped them on the mattress. She pulled the mattress barely a foot from the other and started to set up the bed once she put her bag down next to it against the wall. x xFelfordulas It's fine (: Lol, big building. Is it just them? Oh, it's all right, I don't mind ^.^

ᵴephir Ӂ Ӻriagne {Street Rat / Violin Extraodinaire} "Dance with me amongst the strings, Where our burdens are lifted by song. Fear not the judgement of passers by, For they do not understand the joy of our melody." Sephir simply nodded when Stella said that she'd be fine with sleeping here, setting it down and stepping aside so she could position it where she wanted it to be. Hearing Stella thank him, Seph simply smirked lightly and gave a small shrug, heading over to the bags once more and rummaging through the one in very corner. "You can thank me when you get back to heading to your uncle's." He said light-heartedly, knowing that his helping probably wouldn't stop until she was away from this place. Part of him was still surprised that she would accept his help and follow him so readily, but he supposed that sometimes doing so was unavoidable, especially in a position such as Stella's. Finally done with rummaging through the bag, Sephir pulled out a bunch of small slabs of wood, all of them maybe the size of a large, rectangular book, and what looked like a box of matches. "Oh, to save time on asking the question, on the other side of this floor, that last doorway? It goes into what was probably some sort of changeroom or something when this place was still inhabited. There's a shower block there, the water system actually works pretty well for a place that's supposed to be run down." He told her, carrying the small stack of wood in his arms and heading towards the main area, though stopped to turn and face Stella once more. "It is kind of open though, so you'll have to warn me not to go in there when it's your turn." He added, sneaking in a playful wink, followed by a slightly mischeivious grin before walking out of the room. Although Sephir technically owed Stella no obligations or promises whatsoever, whatever sense of dignity he still had would keep him from walking in on her on purpose. To be honest, Sephir knew that he'd involuntarily shy away if such a thing were to happen on accident. Given the life he lived, relationships were not only extremely far down on the priorities list, but nigh impossible to sustain in Sephir's eyes, so being comfortable around women was not a remarkable talent of his.
Shaking away this contemplation, Seph knelt down in front of the wood stove and opened up the door, the metal groaning slightly as it's hinges fought against movement. Carefully slipping in each slab of wood, arranging them neatly so that all of them would fit and would catch fire, he fiddled with the matches for a couple of seconds. His first attempt managed the break the match in half, causing him to sigh lightly, for his level of 'income' matches didn't come cheap. Having to do this faster than normal, he took the piece with the head still on and made another attempt. Finally lighting, the heat lightly seared the skin on his fingertips a little, but he ignored it, instead concentrating on spreading the flame onto the wood. It would be another few seconds before the first slab caught fire, but soon it was keeping a steady flame and Sephir could shut the stove door, sliding pieces of metal around so that holes and thin slits would let the heat vent into the room.
{sadly RPing will have to slow down even more in the next few weeks, exams are coming up so studying will have to cut into my time, but I should be able to pick up the pace once the exam fortnight's over xP}"The heart never gives in to silence, nor shall we as we dance under the stars. She watch him walk into the main area and light a fire in the old stove. She looked at his bed and then at him. She went over to his bed and made it for him with the other sheet and pillow he had been using and another sheet that was in the bag. She walked out of the room and looked at Sephir. Stella saw the blanket marks on his fingers from lighting the fire with the head of the match and frowned. She when back into the room, shuffled through her bag and walked back out with two large ziplock bags. She pulled out two cotton balls and put some rubbing alcohol on them. She walked up to Sephir while he looked at the fire and took his hand into hers, and listed it up so she could see burns better. She cleaned off his figures with the cotton balls which might have stung a little. The burns weren't bad, but she didn't want to risk them possibly getting infected. Stella pulled Sephir over to where she had set the two plastic bags down and pulled out a roll of white bandages. She wrapped the tips of his fingers that were burned before the put the things away. It might have seemed a bit odd to Sephir, but she did want anything bad to happen to him. Plus she was just caution sometimes.
"So, is it just us here? I know you said there were others, but with the locks and all . . ." Stella trained off a bit when she walked into the other room to put the two plastic backs away before she came back out. She looked out one of the dirty windows and saw how dark it had become outside. Silence seemed to ring throughout the building and what could be considered the entire neighborhood. It was so different from what she was used to at home with cars driving by, but it was also different from her grandparents house that was on the country side. This quiet wasn't peaceful and calming; this silence was eerie, alerting, and almost mysterious. It made it seem like there was nothing that could be trusted. It didn't settle with her well, but she wondered if Sephir was so used to it that it was calming and peaceful to him, or if it had the same feel to him like it did to Stella. She never did like silence very much. The fan in her room was always on at night no matter what season it was. x xFelfordulas That's fine, lol. I shall be lying in wait for your return. ᵴephir Ӂ Ӻriagne {Street Rat / Violin Extraodinaire} "Dance with me amongst the strings, Where our burdens are lifted by song. Fear not the judgement of passers by, For they do not understand the joy of our melody." As Sephir continued to tend to the fire, he felt something take his hand that made him blink. Looking up, he saw none other than Stella, standing beside him with his hand in hers. Spotting the balls of cotton, looking a little damp with something, he opened his mouth to say something but was cut off as the cotton touched his fingertips. At first, he let out a low hiss, a mixture of both surprise and slight pain. The pain didn't last long, thankfully, and Seph simply stayed where he was, watching Stella's actions in curiosity. Why was she doing this? He had singed his fingers a bunch of times and they didn't need any medical attention. Perhaps that wasn't the real reason he was surprised, perhaps it was that he was simply unused to someone actually helping him or showing signs that they cared for his wellbeing. Whatever the case, he wouldn't deny Stella's aid, he suppoed that he'd be doing the same if the role were reversed. Slowly standing and following as Stella lead him to a set of plastic bags, he remained silent once more as she bandaged up his fingers. When she finished, Sephir lowered his hand just a little and stared at it for a moment. "Umm...thanks..." He said, still dealing with the prospect of receiving aid from someone in his mind as he looked over to her and smiled lightly.
When she asked about it being just them here, Sephir simply followed to the window, leaning against the wall on the other side of it as he looked outside. "Most of the time it's just me in the building. There's a couple of people that stay in the ground and second floors, but I hardly ever see them." He explained, unable to help but wonder when the next meeting would be and whether or not Stella wouldbe there too. Honestly, the others weren't the social type, but he knew that they wouldn't bring any harm to Stella, at least as long as they know that she's here with him. Looking back to the girl, he offered another small smile before looking out the window once more, watching the idle flicker of street lights as they almost struggled to stay on. "Nobody lives on the floors above us either, so most days it'll be like we're the only ones in the building." He told her. Whilst the streets were generally dangerous to wander all alone, they were fortunate enough to be in a building that was hardly ever noticed. Sure, the odd graffitti and such would appear, and hearing a rock smash through one of the ground floor windows would happen once in a while, but Sephir was confident that they were safe here, he had been living here for several years after all. Feeling a bit of a silence creeping into the room, Seph bit his lip a little and looked over at Stella once again. With a slight smirk, he pushed himself off of the wall and walked towards the stove. "Well, whilst we're still both wide awake and left with nothing to do..." He said, sitting down in front of the stove and twisting his upper body until he could see Stella. "How about we both get to know the person we're sharing a building floor with a little better?" He added, gesturing towards the ground beside him.

She smiled back at him as she let out a light giggle. She stared back out the window and watched the streak lights flicker as she listened to him talk. So she could basically explore the levels above them with no worries other than possibly falling through the floor or something falling on her? It wasn't too bad in her mind. Maybe she could find something useful if she got lucky. She watched the shadows of people dance along the concrete ground below as they few people that casted them scurried to get to where they lived. This was all so different to her, but she found in interesting. She didn't mind any of this too much, but by the way Sephir spoke at times she started to think that that view might change.
Her attention went back to the older boy as she looked at him. She tilted her head to she side as she watched him walk over to the stove and sit in front of it on the floor. Get to know read other better? It sense since they'd be together most of the time. Stella walked over to Sephir before she sat next to him, but kept some space between them since they weren't close friends. It stilled baffled her that they had only met earlier that day and here they were sat in front of a stove for a fire place about about to get to know each other better, plus they were living together and sharing a room! She could just imagine her father if he were to ever hear of this. The man would flip his lid then probably hunt down Sephir after taking everything the wrong way. "How should we go about that? Just take turns answering random questions?" she asked and party suggested if he didn't have anything in mind. She wasn't sure what she'd ask him. There were the simple questions like favorite food and color, but those were so plain, but she'd probably start with those until she could get into better ones if that's how they went about it. x xFelfordulas It's fine. Honestly I'm just glad that you were able to get around to it even with minor difficulties (: How did your exams go?

ᵴephir Ӂ Ӻriagne {Street Rat / Violin Extraodinaire} "Dance with me amongst the strings, Where our burdens are lifted by song. Fear not the judgement of passers by, For they do not understand the joy of our melody." Sephir cast a slight smirk at Stella as she sat down, the gap between them noticeable, but not surprising in the least. He didn't blame her though, they were still complete strangers to one another after all. It was kind of funny to him, had they been sitting just a few inches closer, this probably could've been seen as a somewhat romantic moment. When she asked about how they were going to do this, he chuckled lightly and looked towards the flickering flames in front of them. "I think you pretty much answered your own question." He told her, leaning back until his hands were supporting him, his fingers numb to any pain from the burns at this point. "But to get the ball rolling, I'll start off with a little bit about myself, then ask you question. We'll just take turns after that" He told her, thinking of what to start with. He didn't really have anything to hide, but he didn't want to divulge too much either, otherwise there'd be nothing left for Stella to ask about, where was the fun in that? After a brief moment, something did come to mind that would make do for now. "I'm eighteen, born on August 27. I've lived most of my life in this city, but I've only been living in this building for about three years." He explained. Again, he didn't really want to go into great depth at first, mostly because he figured that the more the draw things out, maybe the more enjoyable it'd become. Not only that, Sephir still had some energy to burn, so going to sleep would still be some time away, doing this little ice breaker could at least kill some of that time. As he pondered his first question, the same sort of mindset kicked in. He wanted to know a number of things about Stella, but this wouldn't work if he asked about all of it right away, plus something told him that Stella would probably not be so open to telling him everything on the first day here. Honestly, Sephir was a little taken back by the thought that this was only the first of what would probably be dozens if not hundreds of days spent with the girl, he just hoped it wouldn't take all of them before they had a comfortable idea of who the two of them were sharing a room with.
{haven't done them yet, first two are on Monday. Mostly needed to slow down this week and such so I would actually put in something that vagueley resembled studying x3 }"The heart never gives in to silence, nor shall we as we dance under the stars. She felt a bit stupid now, but she did get an answer even if it was her own. She listened to Sephir and nodded in agreement. She wasn't sure who started this small little question game, but when Seph spoke she let out an invisible, silent sigh of relief. She listened to what he said again and nodded. She took a moment before she spoke, "I'm seventeen, I was born on December 12th, and I've lived in the suburb west/east of here for most of my life." It wasn't like that was the most nerve-wracking thing to do, but she still had to make herself say it. She had just told her age, birth date, and where she lived to someone she had just met earlier that day. She may trust Sephir a little more than she thought she should, but that didn't mean she trusted him enough to give him that information, but oh well. Now for the questions. They'd be pretty sappy ones, but they could get better. Stella wasn't sure who asked first, so she figured Sephir would ask her something since he had started this whole thing off. Her eyes moved over to the boy pretty much telling him to ask her something first. x xFelfordulas Sorry that took so long! I got caught up with homework and some other things. I hope your exams went well! (:

ᵴephir Ӂ Ӻriagne {Street Rat / Violin Extraodinaire} "Dance with me amongst the strings, Where our burdens are lifted by song. Fear not the judgement of passers by, For they do not understand the joy of our melody." Sephir simply smiled lightly as Stella spoke, taking short mental notes of her answer. They weren't important notes as such, it wouldn't threaten their lives if he were to forget, but he felt like it'd be rude to not at least try. He could tell that she was still a little uneasy with sharing information, but honestly he had to agree that doing something like this would cause some hesitation from Seph if the roles were reversed. For a brief moment, he was half-expecting the nervousness in the air force Stella to blurt out anything else, but the way she eyed him was enough for Sephir to gather that she wanted him to speak up next. It was with good reason too, given that he said he'd ask a question now that the ball was rolling, even if it was at a snail's pace. Placing a hand to his chin in thought, Sephir stared at the flames nearby as they danced idly in front of them, the heat they radiated wafting out in small bursts. At first, the initial question that came to mind was why she was running away in the first place, but even he wasn't stupid enough to ask that right off the bat. Best case scenario, she'd avoid him enough to make her staying here more awkward than it probably was. It had to be something simple, but not something so irrelevent that he wouldn't have to remember it ever again. As much as he hated to admit it, but Sephir was taking a lot more time on the first question than he had first expected, though he did manage to find one before the silence became too awkward. "Do you have any hobbies?" He asked, figuring that, at the very least, they'd be able to find something for her to make her feel more comfortable in this city.
{finally done with exam stuff, sorry for the wait x.x }"The heart never gives in to silence, nor shall we as we dance under the stars. Never let the melody fade, As it is we who conduct this masterpiece."

She thought staring at him would just make things even more awkward than they were. Her eyes moved around slowly to look at the room some more. It was dark, dusty, and just plain eerie really. It seemed to take a while before the boy actually asked her a question. He could have asked her just about anything, but it took him that long to come up with asking her what her hobbies were? She smiled a little though. Stella wasn't really complaining, but she found it funny. "Well . . . I like to sing and draw, listen to music, read," she paused for a moment, "and just watch the clouds." That didn't seem like very much, but she probably had other things she couldn't think of right at the moment. Now she had to think of something. She could just ask him what his hobbies were, but she wanted to see if she could think of anything else; she couldn't. She could word it a different way like, "What do you do other than play the violin and help out complete strangers?" but that would be the same exact thing as asking what his hobbies were or what he did in his free time. Did Sephir have any free time? "What about you?" she asked as her eyes that were on focused on the window as she thought moved over to the brunette haired boy. x xFelfordulas Yay! No more exams!...for now! It's fine, but I'm sorry it took me so long. I've been getting distracted by homework and youtube (it's evil in a good way!).

ᵴephir Ӂ Ӻriagne {Street Rat / Violin Extraodinaire} "Dance with me amongst the strings, Where our burdens are lifted by song. Fear not the judgement of passers by, For they do not understand the joy of our melody." Sephir caught the rather quick shift of Stella's gaze from him to the fire, he smiled subtly to himself, knowing that the chances for almost having akward staring moments was going to be high in the first couple of days. Looking to the fire himself as he listened to her answer, he gave small nods, taking note of singing in particular. That would probably come in handy when it came to earning enough fo both of them to keep starvation at bay, Sephir himself only just reaching that standard himself on average days. When she finished listing off her hobbies, Sephir carefully laid down on his back, the heat of the fire was getting to him just a little. When asked about his own hobbies, he let out a small chuckle, keeping his gaze on the cieling. "Asking the same question as me is cheating, y'know? Can't have just one brain coming up with all the questions." He teased before shrugging slightly, slipping his hands underneath his head. "Playing the violin would be my main one, though I'm not sure if it counts since it's basically a job during the day..." He said, trailing off momentarily to think what else could be counted as a hobby. "I guess on warm, clear nights I like heading up to the roof and watching stars and such go by...honestly I can't really say I do much else these days." He said, adding in another small shrug. Most of the day was normally spent buying food or earning the money fo it, nights were genreally for rest and thinking up different routines to use on the streets, people would only listen to the same thing so many times and be willing to pay for it. With his answer done, it was Sephir's turn once again, this time something that'd be a little more useful to both of them. "What's your preference on food? What you do and don't like, anything you're allergic to, that sort of thing." He asked. Whilst he didn't need to say that being picky was a luxury that they could not really afford, he would have to at least know if there was a food or ingreient that could kill her so he could avoid it. "Or sneak into her food after she's annoyed you one too many times." He thought in amusement. He'd never actually go through with such a thing, it was more sarcasm above all else.
