I could smell something sickly sweet as I trotted past the slender walls.
Food
Lots of it.
My tummy grumbled as I stopped to stare at the wall taking in the sweet smell. It was high and even though it was slender, I pushed my hooves against it. The hoof sinks only the tiniest of bit into the dirt wall. It was dense.
I began to pace back and forth, pondering with myself what to.
One, how was I going to get in there?
Two, should I be going in there?
Three, what exactly was in there?
I began to leave when I noticed a small panel in the wall. Looking around and crept slowly over to it and bumped it with my body. The panel moved slightly, to reveal it was a larger panel. The smell of food wafted into my nostrils and I inhaled deeply.
My sweet tooth ached for I can smell honey. The sweetest of any I had smelt.
I tip toed quietly inside. There were stacks of food, reaching high into the sky.
I followed my nose, to the honey smell. the honeycomb rested on the stack of various buckets of fruit. To me it was glistening and calling my name.
As slinked towards it, I licked my lips and closed my eyes, slowly opening my mouth.
Suddenly there was a loud bang! My senses come back to me as I bolted out of there. Father and mother would surely suspend my trips alone to the mountains. I cannot risk that. As I reached the food storage entrance and slam the panel with my rump and gallop away as fast as I could.
If I had been paying closer attention I would of seen the little squirrel nibbling on a nut, which had knocked over a basket in the food shed.
