Jaromila nodded her head to Beta's question, considering that was how Haides made her feel.
"Yes, I do believe that is how a soulmate makes you feel, very safe and happy. I mean, that is the way it is with Haides and I, we seem to feel joy in each other's company. We understand each other in ways that most others do not seem to get, except family," Mila replied.

"And sometimes even family don't get it," Beta added. That was definitely true in Haides's case. He'd gotten closer to the others, but no one was as close to him as Jaromila was except for maybe Beta herself. She thought for a moment before smiling. "I hope I find my soul mate soon. Then we can all have a soul mate and three best friends." At least, that would be the ideal; a fourth Azrien that could not only be her soul mate but also be best friends with her best friends.

Jaromila smiled brightly, hoping for the best for Beta in her search.
"I am sure you will find your soul mate, Beta, you just have to be patient. I am sure whoever it is will be someone we will all get to be friends with as well," Mila answered.

Beta nodded. "I think they'd have to. Because I don't think my soul mate would make me choose between them and my best friends."

Jaromila knew she was right, the Azrein would know Beta was someone who liked making friends. It would have to be someone who understood she needed time with her best friends and family.
"Yes, the perfect partner for you would have to be someone who knew you have friends and would need to spend time with them. They would also know you needed to spend time with your family, considering her mother is pregnant," Mila agreed.

Beta nodded, smiling brightly. "I hope Haides doesn't take too long on his journey. Otherwise Mama's foals won't know who he is!" She giggled. "I don't think Haides would do a good job of explaining that."

Jaromila laughed lightly at that, her eyes twinkling as she thought about it.
"No, I do not think he would be able to explain that he has been away and that is why he was not around when your mother gave birth to them. Speaking of your mother, how is she doing?" Mila asked.

"She's doing alright. She was kinda emotional when she found out Haides was gone, but Dad and I calmed her down." Beta shrugged. "She gets emotional more often lately, but I guess that's partially because of being pregnant."

Jaromila was not sure, since she had not been around a pregnant mare.
"I suppose it could be the pregnancy, though I do not have any experience myself. I think it might also have something to do with you being her children and having one away is probably hard on her," Mila spoke.

"That's why I said 'partially'." Beta smiled. "I think it's more than just worry. She knows we're growing up... and some of us may not stay close. It would be hard to see your family spread out."

Jaromila nodded her head in agreement, knowing her own mother was going through that herself.
"Yes, I am sure she is used to having you all around, so it is probably hard for one of her children to go exploring. She probably knows she cannot tell you what to do, but she worries about all of you," Mila admitted.

Jaromila nodded her head again, remembering the day her older sisters came for a visit.
"Yes, I know my mom worries like that, considering how she was when my older sisters came to visit. I could tell she was close to tears, but she tried to keep them hidden from us," Mila replied.

"Were they gone a long time?" Beta inquired, curious. Were her older sisters at that big meeting between their families or had they been elsewhere?

Jaromila looked thoughtful, trying to remember how long her sisters had been gone.
"Yes, they were gone for quite awhile, my sister and I just recently had the privilege of meeting them for the first time. You have not met them yet, they were gone when we had our family meeting," Mila explained.
