8 London stared at Gabe stunned at his reaction to London's badmouthing his friend. When Gabe had recomposed himself London shook off his shock smoothed his shirt to give himself a way to politely ignore Gabe's almost blatant invitation to move to the couch. "Canvas to the inner soul, huh? You romanticize a lot. I'm surprised you even get along with him." Realizing he was dragging the conversation back to Elliotte again he tried to find another subject. Again. "Have you ever thought about pursuing any of the martial arts or swordplay? Maybe even formal dancing? You obviously are an artist with your interest in tattooing."

"well jacks taught me some street fighting" He gave a shy grin, "I mean im not awesome but i think i might be able to hold my own if something came up."He assumed a mock serious face and punched at thin air a few times, giggling at himself. "Hmm swordplay? havent thought about that one..." He thought for a while.....and dancing?" He got a cool expression,"Babe, Ima star!" He jumped up and pretended to strike some poses....(which might actually look good to the right person) "s'gotta be the right music ya know? something a little breakbeaty.." He did a short shuffle session as if the music were filling the room. "of course i get along with him, i mean i lo-.......er......hes my best friend." He coughed.

9 London looked taken aback by Gabe's animated display. and the near admission at the end made him frown. Shaking it off he stood. "I can't admit to understanding your appreciation for your music or the cat but as long as it makes you happy." With that he started to move out of the room but paused in the doorway looking back over his shoulder. "I'm thirsty. Would you like anything? I may go down the street to the charming little cafe I found the other evening. I could you bring you back something. Or you could come if you want." He waited patiently for the answer to the the inquiry his manners had demanded he make.

Gabe nodded when he mentioned happy and smiled at Londons invitation. He got up and grabbed his trusty pack that resided at the end of the couch, his tail wagging ,"Dude i need some fresh air, well....as fresh as city air can get haha!." Following him to the doorway he patted him on the shoulder like a brother would. "I think i know the cafe your talkin about, the one with the badass doughnuts right?" He walked ahead of him, tail swinging happily.

10 London suppressed a jump as he felt the pat on the shoulder, unused to random friendliness. Then he shrugged and followed after the fox. "I wouldn't know. I've never actually been inside. Just passed it by and noticed the people inside and at the street tables looked happy as opposed to some of he more depressing figures I've seen around." He stopped at the door to pull on and lace up his boots. Once outside he followed the fox down the stairs and onto the street. It seemed indeed that he did know just the cafe. "If you don't mind, I'd like to sit outside when we get there." he tentatively offered.

"Oh man i LOVE sitting outside." He practically wiggled down the street, chains on his pants jingling a cheerful rhythm."Soooo what do you think your in the mood for? I totally want a coffee or something else awesome and delicious." Before any real time had passed he was already heading inside, door bell jingling, people talking to eachother, the whole place buzzing. The fox folded his arms in thought, tail swaying slowly, for once a serious and contemplating expression was on his face.

11 He followed the fox through the door and held it so that it closed softly behind him barely making the bell sound. At first the buzz of chatter caught him by surprise. He had never really been around so many people at once. He watched the people behind the counter rush about to satisfy the customers while watching the people at the tables from the corners of his eyes. "I'm not sure." He replied. "Have you been here before? Do you have any suggestions. I'm willing to try anything you think might be good." London smiled at the girl behind the counter who greeted them with genuine attentiveness.

After smiling once deciding what he would get he was nodding here and there at familiar faces, some of them he waved to before trotting up to the counter, "No worries man, this place is good no matter what you get." He giggled over his shoulder. "Hey Carrie, im a need a white chocolate vanilla frap with whip, make it huge...and for the bird...." He seemed to be judging every aspect of London for a while ,"Lets give him the White Amore, ya know, the way you make it." Gabe winked at the girl as she gave a shy giggle and took the foxes money. Soon after she shouted back some random things that were almost like code, the people behind her yelling back,"Aight!" He looked back at London,"See, good people. Lets get outside, im pretty sure theyll remember our order and know where to find us." He went outside to the detailed iron cafe tables and found a nice one to sit at, waiting for his company he pulled a seat out for london and smiled.

London followed the bouncing fox back out the door. He was admiring he work of the tables when Gabe pulled out the seat. He stared at Gabe with a slightly confounded look. Then, almost as if some sort of tension suddenly unwound within him, he laughed and sat down. "I guess you come here often. Do you know that girl outside of just seeing her here? She seemed pretty polite." He ran a hand along the edge of the table. "I suppose I should eventually try to make some friends. I just guess I'm not used to dealing with people. Horses and weapons are easier to understand. More straightforward. Both will tell you exactly what they are thinking and how they want to be handled."

Gabe giggled ,"Well people too! you just gotta have an open heart and be willing to be friends with even the roughest ones. You never know what made them that way, or how hard their life might have been." Within minuets the beverages were distributed and a good tip was handed out."Nah i just know her here, dont hang out with many peeps cept at the club." He had some of his drink and smiled approvingly. "Ya just gotta try i guess, go out on a limb sometimes...man at least you have wings so the fall wont be so bad!" He shook his head and laughed at his own crappy joke.

He stared warily at the cup that had been set before him before shrugging and trying a sip. "This is pretty good." He took a few more sips in silence. "I don't think people can be that honest. Even the 'good' ones have their secrets. But you are right about never knowing what may be in their background. Except when you do know and still can't understand what makes them so foul." He took another contemplative sip. "I'm not so sure about going out on a limb though. More often than not people will let you down. But again, you may have a point about having wings." He chuckled lightheartedly.

Gabe smiled, feeling as if he got london to lighten up even in the slightest. Sighing he stared off into the skies pondering about what it would be like to have wings and soar in the eternal blue. He leaned back in his chair thinking about his sister. Wondering if she was ok. At that moment a slight frown touched the corners of his mouth, more sad that anything else.He shook his head, trying to go back to the present where he was trying to make a new friend.
