Yin left. Just like that, the mantis was gone. Eat poke, attack, leave. Talk about a dine and dash. Injured, his fur on end, Danny's question was given a resolute "No." Then amended. "That was Yin. I'm injured. Poke was dissipated. Come, let's fine somewhere safe to heal and then regroup. This is... beyond our abilities." He felt like a failure. A weakling.
"I am sorry I was not as helpful as I would have like to have been Danny."

Danny looked over at the wolf and sighed, getting up off her lazy butt and moving to help the dog. "Nah, you did fine," she said, sticking an arm across his shoulder and pulling him into a short side hug. Just some kind of acknowledgement that she was still here and things were indeed "okay."
She looked out into the insanity mist, somewhat terrified and somewhat worried. It was like Yin- no, anybody really- could just pop out of nowhere and attack. It unsettled her, leaving a pit in her stomach.
"Yeah, let's go," she mumbled, and hobbled out with him.
