He just laughed a bit at Otto and shook his head, "It seriously won't but in this case I wasn't feeling all that inspired to keep going until you either nearly killed me or you just gave up on me whichever happened first." He reached up toward Otto offering a hand to shake, "Good match." He was being sincere now.
"We should do that again sometime," he added a few moments afterward.

Otto raised a brow at Jude's offered hand, slowly moving to shake it. It seemed odd, shaking someone's hand after battle. This display of camaraderie seemed alien to the boy.
"Yeah, whatever." He muttered in return, stuffing his hands into his pockets. "Sure, if you're around when I'm here..."

Jude had learned that Otto was his own special brand of social awkward. Probably had something to do with that bad attitude of his but then Jude was not out to change Otto or his heart, that was up for Otto to do if he so felt the need. He just collected himself and shifted a shoulder, "I don't doubt that you'll be around or that I will be. I don't plan on dying or anything of that nature."
At least not as much anymore. Ariane was right. He needed to let go of things and he just needed to march on and find his happy place.
"So you wanna get lunch with me or you wanna brood at the dummies some more?" Jude asked as his arms folded over his chest.

Jude seemed to see through Otto, to some degree. Social awkwardness had about 80% to do with his attitude. The teen shifted uncomfortably a moment, before shrugging his shoulders.
"I could eat." A teenage boy rarely passed up an opportunity to eat. Besides, the dummies were not exactly good company, despite being about as socially competent as Otto was. No, they were probably better at it than he. While Otto was getting better at it out of necessity, he was still a long way off.
The boy shuffled his way off of the training field, ready to grab some grub with Jude.

Jude smirked a bit at Otto's words, "Good, good," as he lead the way to the cafeteria along with Otto going at more of a stride than a shuffle, his arms now falling to his sides as he lapsed into a thoughtful silence.
"Since I lost it'll be on me, sound good?" He said simply. Jude knew better than to be too prideful at least lately. Sometimes the pride liked to sneak up on him and show him that it was still around - like with Ariane for example.

Oh right. Winner gets a free meal. Didn't Rin do that to him last time too? Well, this time around it seemed Otto was the one getting treated. The teen hummed a bit in thought. This brought up his mood just slightly. A free meal, huh? That sounded good to him.
"Anythin' in the cafeteria good enough..." Maybe he'd have a burger? Did they even have it? Well, he supposed they'd find out. "I want a burger of they got'em." Sure, anything from the cafeteria tended to taste bland, but maybe he could pretend.
"And a coke." He added soon after. Now with the promise of free food, Otto was suddenly hungrier. That spar had worked up a monster of an appetite, and it was now Jude's job to settle it.

"Sounds good, maybe I'll have that too," he said thoughtfully and then stepped into the cafeteria with Otto.
It seemed Otto was in luck but Jude wasn't. There was just one burger available for grabs and so Jude just gestured for Otto to take it while Jude settled for an eclair and a bit of stew that was available for now. Drink? For Jude that was coffee.

Otto almost felt he might need to spar Jude once more as he cast a look at the selection. One burger left.. Otto wanted it, and he was willing to fight for it. However, Jude seemed to let Otto go first. Maybe it was because he'd won, right? So he got dibs?
The teen shoved on ahead, ordering the burger with all the fixings. And a coke. Because he could really go for something cold and fizzy. Ah, the simple pleasures of life. Especially a hunter's life.
What really made him smirk was getting the chance to say "Put it on his tab." as he waved a hand at the cashier, letting Jude take care of it all.
Otto sneered at the coffee Jude had ordered. It reminded him of Kat and her sadistic antics in a previous trip to the cafeteria. Oh well, he was safe.
And so Otto settled down at a table with his paid for meal with Jude, content to eat and make minimal small talk.

Jude uttered no complaints when Otto said to put it on his tab and just simply nodded in agreement once they had everything that would make them the happiest for their little luncheon together. Settling across from Otto he simply ate and made small talk. There really wasn't much else that they could do for now and to be honest Jude was pretty tired. When they were done eating Jude took his tray and Otto's as well and turned it in for disposal before he wandered off to his own room to do some reading of on his own as a way to wind down.
All-in-all it was a very nice day with a bit of distraction provided by sparring.
