"A present from who?" he stated coldly. Flowers didn't keep long on the island and someone must have put no small degree of effort into getting one. It didn't look like a Sasha sort of thing either, lately he'd expect her to give gifts maybe more along the lines of ear poison while asleep.
The ball, treated more and more like a stress ball every minute, got kicked a little before once again it was punted entirely too hard in Jerry's direction.

Jerry giggled as the bean bag hit his knee and he staggered back, before plopping down into a seated position on the grass, "You and I are a lotta' like, man." He smiled with a sigh, picking up the beanbag to bounce off of his hand, front and back. "You did me a kindness, I thought I'd pay it back." More toothy smiles. "We all need some mother ********' Zen y'know? Ahahahaha." He fell backward, laying happily on the grass with a pleased noise. "God, Grass is awesome. I used to take my Gran to the park every day."

There were two familiar figures outside the lab building, and not two that Jordan generally expected to see together. Curiosity made him alter his course. "What are you guys up to?" he asked as he got into range, and shot a curious look at Jerry where he was sprawled on the grass. The guy had been like a stormcloud recently, but he certainly didn't look it now; Rep, on the other hand, looked spooked and tense.

Mad or not, he never expected Jerry to ever draw a line between them both, it was about the most crazy thing he could expect to come out of the other hunter's mouth. He just stared for a bit, not even sure how to respond. "It was just booze." he hazarded lamely.
"Wish I had some of the "zen" you are on" he murmured under his breath dismally before resuming his normal volume to go on that he had plenty of zen ********, but he stopped mid way as Jordan showed up.
The look he gave the other man said "Help me."
"Jerry's in a great mood and insisted we play er...hacky bag or some s**t."

"Jordan!!" Jerry sat up again, sending the make-shift hacky-sack toppling to the grass, "You should play with us!" He was beaming. "It's good team building, man!"

"Hackey sack?" Jordan shrugged. "I was never very good at it, but what the heck. My reflexes are better these days." He shot a puzzled glance at Rep, then looked back at Jerry. "You seem to be feeling better," he hazarded cautiously.

Rep nodded. "Aye, that. Hackey sack."
He wanted to say "Jerry's cheese has slid off his cracker", but he figured he wouldn't have to. Jordan would notice that one soon enough.

"Take off your shoes!" Jerry demanded as he swayed his way upright before his eyes lit up, "No no no wait we should be playing on the BEACH. Aaaah the sand between your toes-" And suddenly he was lurching off to grab his guitar, the hacky sack, and padding his way barefoot in the direction of water.

Jordan stared after Jerry, nonplussed. "Is he drunk?" he asked Rep quietly. "He didn't sound drunk, but he's sure not acting sober."

"No drunk I think. Just ******** mental. He's talking awright and he doesn't smell like booze. My guess would be high as a kite maybe. " he stooped to pick up his boots and followed the hyperactive man to the beach - just in case he ended up drowning himself like an idiot .

Jerry was giggling again as he tripped his way through the sand, clearly pleased by this decision. He stopped at the top of a small hill, sighing gleefully as he flexed his bare toes in the sand.

Jordan shook his head, looking faintly worried, and bent to pull his boots off. Then he followed the other two down towards the beach. Once he caught up with Jerry, he stopped to study his friend's expression. "You've been so down lately, I've been worried," he said. "But you're looking all right now."

Rep once he got to the beach fell back slightly as Jordan addressed Jerry, just listening. His rude and abrupt method hadn't worked in terms of getting through to Jerry, so all he could do was look on and see how Jordan fared.

Jerry drew in a slow breath through his nose, soaking in the salty spray of fog and ocean before the smile crept across his features again, "I'm definitely alright. I had a revelation." He explained.

"A revelation? Sounds interesting. Can I hear it?" Jordan was starting to wonder if Jerry was just high, or if he'd had too much stress and had just snapped. He hoped it was the former. The latter would be problematic.
