Aurora stopped at the top of the ladder before she would slide down, listening to the warnings that Toutatis had given her yet again. For a moment she was silent and still. But it was hard to tell from the smile still plastered over her face if she'd finally let it sink in or if she was a complete and utter dunce. "I like it," she finally answered her question, still smiling. But her voice was just a teensy bit off. "Like, it's like I'm part of something big now. I've never really felt so... alive. Like I can do anything and everything." Aurora looked away from Toutatis, focusing on the swing set.

Toutatis had a feeling. A deep down sinking feeling that she would spend a lot of time in the future warning her about things. And how Aurora needed to really sit down and evaluate and learn. Perhaps it was the smile plastered on the other girl's face that made her feel that way. She was not too fond of having to play hen mother 'kay? Hopefully it would all sink in eventually. That much Toutatis hoped anyway or else the girl was doomed. Leaning against the slider ladder, she hooked an arm around the side through one of the step spaces. Resting her head against the cool metal. "Its because you are a part of something big now." She chuckled lightly. "Well, there are limitations but I guess as long as you feel that way you could go far. And its good that you like it. I think if one despised it that would make them a pretty poor and useless soldier in the end."

"A soldier," Aurora repeated under her breath. She really hadn't thought about it. Soldiers conjured up images of men in uniform battling each other, killing each other. "Ah, well, I'd like to think of it more as a family than an army." The dark mirror senshi finally planted her butt on the slide, wiggled a bit and adjusted her skirt. "That'd be kinda nice. One big happy mirror family... thing." She sighed wistfully.

An eyebrow raised sharply as she looked up at Aurora who had finally taken a seat on the slide and had begun wiggling about. Which created an odd squeaking noise she found. "Well....we are a family. We look out for each other and have each other's backs." Ah, ah what was that saying. Oh right! "Family is not always blood, its who you choose to call family. Onnnnneeeee big, dysfunctional family." At least partially dysfunctional. For the most part Toutatis had no real experience working with other Dark Mirrors so she couldn't really calibrate just how well any of them would be able to work as a unit anyhow. That would need to be rectified soon.

"Oh. Yeah. Right." She brought her knees up and rested her arms on them, leaned forward. Her usual cheerful voice was choking up. "I guess.. I'm happy that you think that way too! That would've sucked if you didn't. Cuz like, yeah." A few seconds passed where she looked down the slide, fidgeting again like she was about ready to go down. But instead she stood up and ran down it instead, arms out like a little kid pretending to be a plane. Wheee~ After a few extra steps in the sand, she came to a halt and turned around again. Her usual smile and tone returned. "We should totally collect energy together soon."

"Hmm, well. There may be those who don't think of it that way, though I have yet to really run across other Dark Mirrors who don't." If it had been the other way would have Aurora gotten upset? Leto and Remarque probably thought something similar for sure. At least from her experience with them it seemed plausible. Toutatis didn't move from the slide as she watched Aurora finally decided to run down it. At least it would save her from the squeak that the other girl might make sliding down it. That sound always ground on a nerve for some reason. Almost like nails on chalk board. "Sure thing. Maybe next time we run into each other or something."

What Toutatis said didn't really register until she'd finished running down the slide. There may be some who didn't think of it that way. Oh... "Well, uhm.. I was wondering.." Aurora rubbed her arm. "If maybe we could hang out without our uniforms on, y'know? Like, uh, friends?" Please say yes, please say yes, please say yes.

Well that was certainly a first. She had never been asked by someone to hang out in civilian form. Not even Natron knew her civilian self at the moment. And she had just met Aurora. Not that she didn't trust the girl, not entirely of course, but even still. About as much as people who have just met could really. Toutatis rubbed at the back of her neck lightly. "I...guess? I don't know how we're going to know who each other is though."

"As regular people, silly." Aurora approached her quickly, hands behind her back. It took only a few seconds before she reached for Toutatis's hand and held it up with both of hers, only a few seconds before Aurora gazed into the horror senshi's eyes. "It's okay. Because we're family, right?"

That wasn't quite what she had meant. When Aurora approached and reached for her hand she furrowed her eyebrows. "You mean...power down right here....now?" She wasn't exactly sure she was comfortable with that. Someone could be watching.

"Nooo, no. Not right here. Like, somewhere where it's safe. Like..." Aurora may be a bit .. off, but she wasn't dumb at least! Of course, she couldn't really think of where they could power down safely. Her house? Brothers. Toutatis's house? She didn't know her family situation. "I dunno.. But somewhere," she pleaded.

Her lips pulled tight into a thin lipped frown. At least she didn't want to power down right here out in the open. That was some what better she supposed. The sound of her voice caused her brows to furrow once more. With a light sigh, she grasped Aurora's hand and tugged her along quickly. There were tons of alley ways nearby if they cleared the park fast enough without being seen. "This way then."

Aurora followed Toutatis without complaint and without saying a word. The thought occurred to her that her friend might be angry with her, or uncomfortable, but Aurora was just so desperate. Desperate for a friend. Desperate for family. Desperate for love. Knowing just Toutatis was fine, but... it didn't feel quite as close if she didn't know the other half of her. Maybe someday Aurora would explain it to her. For now, she just let herself be led to wherever her friend would go.

Through the park, around a corner, winding this way and that around walls till finally Toutatis stopped. Letting go of Aurora's hand she listened and looked around to make sure there was no one. The sound of a nearby marketplace filled with bustling civilians though made it a bit difficult. But so far it seemed that they were in the clear. And she couldn't sense any other energy signatures too close to where they were. Turning her gaze back to Aurora, she let a small smile slip onto her lips. "You have to promise me that you tell no one who I am as a civilian." She covered her brooch with one hand, grasping it between her fingers. "You ready then?"

The smile Toutatis gave was reassuring. Aurora nodded, barely containing her excitement. "I promise. Cross my heart and hope to die, stick a needle in my eye." She even held up her pinkie for a pinkie promise, if that was necessary.
