After her first burst of speed, Chaya fell into a distance-eating lope, tracking after Nuru effortlessly; when he collapsed onto the ground and dropped the ball, she quickly caught up. She threw herself down in the grass in front of him and rolled and wriggled enthusiastically, then flopped loose-limbed on her side and gave him a doggy grin. "Hi," she said. "I'm Chaya."

Nuru scooooted the ball a little closer to himself with his paws upon her arrival, "Ahm Nuru!"
He eyed her over curiously for a moment before adding, "What are ya?"

Chaya wriggled and inched just slightly closer. Nope. Not really sneaky.
"I'm a spectral hound," she said proudly. "How about you? Black Dog?"

"Kinna," He managed to not notice her sneaky approach, "Barghest."
"Do y'have anneh moa toys like this 'un?" He gave her a hopeful look.

Inch. Inch. Inch. "I found that one in the graveyard! You can have it if you want it," Chaya offered generously. "I've got several good squeakies in my room." She eyed the ball and the arrangement of Nuru's paws consideringly. Not quiiiiiite close enough for optimal snatching.

Nuru was still too distracted by the conversation at hand, his gaze eventually turning on her - she was so close but it just had not registered yet, "Realleh? Y'mean et?" It even squeaks. He was the luckiest boil ever, he was sure of it.

"Yep! Butfirstyougottagetitback," she finished all at once, and lunged to grab the ball and bounce back out of range, wagging furiously again.

And like that Nuru was up and after her. Attempting his damnest to get in range enough to n** playfully at her and smack her with his own paws in the face.

Chaya zigzagged around the graveyard, giggling around the ball in her mouth. After her first burst of speed, she had to slow, and Nuru would quickly find that he could catch up to her. As he got closer, she wheeled and playbowed again, wagging and laughing hard enough that the ball fell out of her mouth. "You're fast!"

Nuru was thrilled to find despite being winded that he could catch up to her, all was not hopeless! She dropped the ball! He dove for it with his mouth and as soon as he had it in his clutches again; shook it violently with a wild burst of squeaky sounds.
He panted around the ball this time, paranoid about losing it again to her, "Yoo foo."

Chaya burst into giggles and rolled onto her back, paws dangling, ears smushed against the ground, looking very silly and not caring one bit. "Nice to meet you. Are you a first-year here too?"

Nuru shook his head again, this time indicating 'no', "Am eckn ear." He was just refusing to let that ball go now. It was his, he earned it right? So all his then.

"Ooooh, you've been here a while then! That's cool." Chaya giggled again. "I promise promise I won't steal the ball again, you got it back, now it's yours. Deal?"

Nuru nodded before veeeery hesitantly placing it back between his paws, "Yah. This place is jackin' full of surprihses."

"I've made some friends," Chaya said, and thumped her tail happily. "And learned some things. And I joined the K9 club, but we haven't had another meeting yet. Hey, you should come next time! I didn't know there were so many canine students here. No other Hounds,though," she said, sounding a little disappointed.
