Bruce sighed and looked at Sakura and sat next to her and said, "Well thats a bummer, thank goodness I came when I did huh?" He chuckled and looked at her and continued, "Uhh just out of curiousity who is the gym leader of this town. I came all the way from Kanto and won the Indigo League and figured I should come out of hiding and continue my pokemon journey." He smiled and brought out his Magmar and said, "This was my first pokemon, He was a little Magby when I had him. He has been with me through thick and thin." The Magmar nuzzled Bruce and he smiled and said, "Me and my Magmar have been through so much." He reminised on all the adventures he had back in Kanto. He was already starting to crush on this girl Sakura and he barely met her and he blushed a bit and continued, "But enough about me I got some answers to hear." He chuckled at himself rambling on.

Sakura smiled and replied, "I'm Sakura, and I am the gym leader; my pokemon make up for the strength that my body lacks. They are tough and have been with me since I was five; the gym was my dad's, but when he died he left it to me. Charizard here was my first pokemon." She brought out her charizard.

"Very nice looking Charizard you have there." He petted the Charizard and it purred at his touch and he continued, "I'm guessing your the fire gym leader." He smiled and said, "I think I will wait and stay with you until you get better..." He knew it was crazy and he softly held her hand and he blushed while looking at Sakura. "I'm Bruce by the way."

"Thanks, and if your sure, I mean it gets pretty boring just sitting around here; that's kind of why you found me, if I hadn't of left the gym my arm wouldn't be broken," Sakura replied.

Bruce smiled and said, "I can dig that, I can train my pokemon and hang out with you." He smiled and brought out all his pokemon for her to see. "They need to get out of their pokeballs anyways." Bruce said, "Why don't you show me your pokemon?"

simon had been wallk the trail towerd,s the first gym, simon coulnd,t remaber what town name was, they olny thing he could rember is that the gmy had a fire symbol , simon gusseing think it a fire type gmy , simon knew it would,nt be eassy but , simon still had full confdnit,s in him as he kept walking towerds they town .

Sakura got her pokemon out and showed them to Bruce and soon she was asleep, worn out from the cancer and the broken bone.

Bruce was filled in a room with Pokemon and said, "Well I guess I am babysitter at the moment." He looked at Sakura and smiled and said, "Yeah you get your rest." He fed all the pokemon and laid back and relaxed while they all ate.

Sakura's Aunt had gotten the doctor and they were just getting to the gym when they spotted Simon heading towards the gym; the doctor went on in as Simon reached them. Her Aunt replied, "If you have come to challenge the gym leader you are going to have to wait a couple days the leader is ill at the moment. Her arm is broken, but she will be well enough to battle by possibly tomorrow."

Bruce fed all the pokemon and put his pokemon and said, "Well her pokemon seem very tough. I can't wait to fight her." He dozed off on the floor next to where Sakura was laying and dreamt of himself going to the Pangaea League.

Sakura woke up around an hour later with a cast on her arm; the doctor had told her aunt before he left that Sakura's cancer was getting worse. Sakura had heard even though she knew they were trying to keep it from her; she sighed and noticed that Bruce was also just waking up. She hoped he hadn't heard about her cancer; she knew that her cancer getting worse means she is running out of time.
Sakura smiled at Bruce, "So, Bruce, do you have any siblings?"

Bruce stretched and said, "Nah no family other than my father. He was one of the Elite Four at one point." He smiled and yawned and looked back at Sakura and said, "I see your cast is on now." He got a magic marker and signed it and drew a very detailed charmander next to it and said, "Figured you like fire pokemon but its just a guess." He said sarcastically hoping she laughed.

She laughed softly and looked at him, she gave a small sigh of relief that he hadn't heard about the cancer. Sakura realizes she is starting to have feelings for Bruce.

Bruce sat up and got up from the floor and said, "So you hungry Sakura ?" He smiled and held her hand and took her to their kitchen. Bruce smiled and sat her down at the table and waited for her to respond.
