Candace nodded, finishing her iced tea and setting the empty glass aside. She understood completely. Maybe she could ask Jordan to get something from her dad..but he didn't sell anything or have something unique to him that could just be grabbed and kept without a second thought from the owner. Another time, perhaps.
"Oooh, California~?" Candace's eyes lit with excitement again. "I've never been there before. This'll be fun! Been a long time since I had tamales, too. You came to the right person~."

"You haven't? I would've thought you'd have liked to travel," Jordan mused, flicking a curious look at Candace. "Anyway, when the portals open up again, I'll use one of my days for a shopping run and take some time to find a library or something where I can get to the website and place an order for pickup the next week. Sound good?"

"Well until coming here my traveling was limited to whatever the budget of a person who had to pay bills while providing for a very spoiled daughter with expensive tastes, so my traveling experience was limited to...Texas, New York, Florida and finally Massachusetts. I'd have probably gone eventually, but I came here instead." She shrugged. It wasn't a big deal. She went shopping in Italy with Cass. Maybe she had been to California on one of her mall trips and just not known it, since she didn't usually ask for a specific mall unless she had something in particular she needed. Who knows.
Candace listened to his plan with a soft hum, nodding. "Sounds good. You could probably even find an internet cafe or something if you can't get a library. I remember a few in Boston if you end up needing one."

Jordan snorted. "Spoiled kid, huh. Who could ever have guessed?" he teased.
He nodded in response. "It's a plan, then?"

Candace smiled sweetly and tilted her head to one side at Jordan's teasing. "Mister Miller, just what are you implying?" Because Candace is the sweetest little Southern belle one could ever meet. One who never, ever threw tantrums over not getting her way.
"It's a plan. Just let me know when you need me." She would remember to keep at least a day open for whenever this tamale trip happened.
