Words. She was speaking lots of words. This had all beter be worth it, he thought. With a begrudging sigh, he checked tags as he pulled the pillows out of their covers. "They're all the same." He muttered, tossing the covers into a pile and the pillows into another. "How the hell will these all fit into a washer.."

He looked up at her question, heaving another tired sigh. "You won't find one. I'd bet money on it. It's a military facility, ya know." He paused and tilted his head. "I think theres a pool for trainees but... its nasty as ******** class="quote">

"Oh well that makes things simple!" There were a few washers and dryers and- "Well, the rule back in the girls dorms was that if your wash was done and you weren't around?" She pulled open one of the washing machines, clothes damp yet no one around to claim them. Grabbing an empty basket, she began to shove them in. "Snooze you lose. Now. Two pillows each machine. And one for the sheets. That'll be.. five machines?" And six were open. Perfect.

"The tags say normal wash too. So throw them in Otto-bot! I will grab the soap!" She looked at the soap on a high self.

"Just give me a second."

Usurping washers. Awesome.

Otto began tossing in laundry into one washer at a time. Part of him felt smug that he was taking up all the available machines for his own stuff. Yes. This made him feel like a jerk, and he loved it.

Otto looked up at the high shelf too, furrowing his brows. "I usually... climb the counter.." He said to the shorter girl.

"No. Wait. I got this." She walked over, and grabbing a wet shirt from the stolen machine, she used it like a whip, knocking down the soap. And bleach. And fabric softeners.

At least everything was closed. Voice soft Otto would still hear her saying "******** the police." She set the other bottles on a nearby counter, taking to soap and dolling it out to each machine. Each lid shut she turned to face Otto.

"There will be comfy pillows. Now were are just at the shitty waiting part. So-" She shrugged. "I have my phone but it's still boring. we have 40 minutes give or take to kill. So.... do we have card games or anything?" You were going to play the waiting game with her Otto.

Solia was weird. Very weird. She gave off the short and crazy girl vibe.

And now the worst part. The waiting game. Worser still, it was with someone. Someone annoying. Most people he found annoying. Even some he considered a kind of friend he considered annoying. Like Dakota, and sometimes Bix. Cool dudes, but annoying.

"I don't have cards." He stated with a grouchy expression. "I dunno. What do you usually do when you're bored." He asked with as little interest as possible.

What did she do when she was bored? Solia grinned. "I used to go on tumblr or go running. But since one of those is out and you don't seem the type to want to go running... There are some books I checked out but that's not a very partnerish activity... Unless you don't mind reading with someone in the room and not talking much."

Looking to the machine she gave a shrug. "We just need to be able to keep an eye on the machines is all. And when whoever's laundry we removed comes by we say it was like that when we found it."

Wait.

She was giving him the option to read and ignore her presence? Otto was intrigued. "I don't mind." He said rather quickly, ever the anti social one looking for a way out.

"Yeah, well. They never shoulda left it all unattended anyway." Otto replied with a shrug. "Weren't our fault they're negligent of their crap." Had Otto needed a machine he'd have left that person's clothes on the dirty floor.

He did indeed, have an out! "I managed to get some classics the other night, so, run down to grab our book then come back here? Reading will kill the time and we'll be able to keep an eye on your things." She looked at her phone. "Shouldn't take more than five minutes. I have a few cookies left over from my last batch if you want me to bring those to much on!"

Solia just wanted to make people happy and give them fluffy pillows. Death had gotten someone unbroken to the horrors of Deus ex. It was pretty special.

"Sure sure.. whatever.." Otto mumbled. Books and cookies meant no talking to the strange and perky girl. Sounded just fine to Otto.

Time went by. Otto was silent throughout the whole 2 hours, reading with a stern expression. He only stopped when he wanted as cookie, or had to help Solia get the laundry moved to the dryers.

When it was finally all done, Otto let out a huff and snapped the book closed. "Finally." He stood and started to get his things out of the dryer. They felt so warm, soft and fluffy he almost stopped to just fall asleep right there.

With a good book, two hours went by in a flash. She giggled to herself when she hit page 394, but other then that she was silent, nibbling on a cookie while she read and waited, changing out washer to dryer when it was time, (and throwing that wet load in the extra dryer that was open. No need to be THAT mean).

Done where the sheets and pillows, Solia beemed at Otto. "See! Isn't it nice! Quick, let's get them back to your room so you can do the bask in clean pillow thing." She didn't explan, grabbing pillows and sheets, as many as she could carry, waiting by the door for him. "I'm almost jealous! You're going to have a good night's sleep, that's for sure."

Otto got the idea. It was already feeling inviting just holding the clean scented and warm materials to his face. It reminded him of home, on a Sunday when his mother did all the laundry. When he was very small, and could jump into the basket of freshly dried laundry and just lay there, giggling as his mother shook her head at his antics.

He snapped out of it as Solia spoke near the door, hurrying after her to get his things to his room. "Then ya shoulda done laundry too.." Otto mumbled back, finding it hard to concentrate as the gentle scent of his blankets and pillows coaxed him into a state of zen.

Solia laughed. "Nah, I'm still new. I have to wait a week at least before I am allowed the magic of fresh sheets and fluffy pillows." Seeing his zen she shook her head with a smile. "Come on Otto-bot! You can't sleep in the hall." When she reached his room, she got to work, shoving pillows in pillow cases, smiling.

"So, think it was worth the wait and putting up with me?"

Right. No sleeping in the halls. Someone might steal his pillows if he did. 8I

Finally they were back, his bed in the process of being re-pillowed, and blankets spread over the barren surface.

Her question eanred a puzzled look, followed by a sheepish glance to the side. "Yeah, guess it made up for it.." He mumbled dismissively, scratching his neck.

Think this is wrapped!

With a grin she went over, pressing two fluffy warm pillows to the side of his face. "There you go. Well, my work here is done Otto-bot. Enjoy the spoils of your wash okay. If you ever need help again just let me know okay?"

I'd say so! <333

Otto held the pillows that Solia pressed to his face, feeling the sleepies try and take over again. Her parting words were met with a hesitant nod. She seemed.. less annoying in real life than on twitter. But still kind of annoying.

Annoyingly helpful.

Otto slept like a baby that night.
