Conan tilted his head when he saw her jaw drop and wondered what she was thinking of. He shook his head dismissing it and hooked Bran back onto her leash. "Alright then. I know of a good place that's nearby. They have outdoor tables so we can keep Bran with us." He said walking towards the gate. He held the gate open for Gem and then moved behind her as if to push her. "Do you mind if I push you?"

"An outside seat sounds wonderful. It's warm enough to still want ice cream, but cool enough that it shouldn't completely melt while we're still eating." She reached over and gave Bran's ear another scratch. "Good girl, Bran."
Looking up and back, she nodded lightly. "Not at all. You're the one who knows how to get there, after all." She was looking forward to the trip. Their first date was also their engagement celebration! ...She bet there weren't too many who could say the same.

Conan grabbed the handles and began pushing. "That it is." He replied, "It shouldn't take us too long to get there." He easily pushed her through the city avoiding any major holes and cracks so as not to upset the wheelchair. Soon they were at the ice cream shop. He had to tie Bran up next to a table and told her to sit and stay.
"Shall we go in and get our ice cream?" He pushed her chair to the door and then opened it for her.

Starting to feel quite giddy as realization settled in, she also held an overwhelmed feeling. Who wouldn't in her place though?! One moment she's preparing herself to be completely shut down, and the next she's thinking about an honest to goodness marriage with the wolfman she loved!
She started paying attention to the world around her again when she heard Conan announce going inside. Looking up at the gentle jingling of the bell that hung from the door, she quickly started smiling again. The shop was cute, and not very busy at the moment. Good. She wanted to enjoy the rest of the day with Conan before they had to seriously start thinking about telling Blue or Corny...

After walking in and making sure Gem got in okay, Conan walked up to the counter and looked at the different kinds of ice cream. While looking he got a nagging feeling that he had forgotten something. However he couldn't think of what and decided to ignore it as he wanted to spend time with Gemini........ his girlfriend/fiancee. Finally a young lady came over and asked what he would like. "A double of Butter Pecan with a waffle cone. Gem?" He looked over at her to see if she was ready. The young lady got his ice cream cone ready and then waited for what Gem wanted.

Looking through the wide variety of ice creams, she nearly found it too difficult to focus on deciding. Conan loved her! They'd shared their first kiss! Giggling to herself, she leaned forward to make herself focus again. "I'll have a single of the Superman in a regular cone." Blue and pink and yellow... the colors made her think of a tropical ocean sunset. ...Choosing because of the color might not have been the best strategy, but it was what inspired her to make her choice.

The lady behind the counter got Gem's ice cream and handed it to her. Then she went over to the register and rang them up. Conan quickly pulled out some money and paid for it. After that he grabbed some napkins, took a lick of ice cream, and went to hold open the door again. Once Gem was outside he led them back to the table where Bran was. He moved a chair out of the way for Gem before sitting down himself. "Superman eh? Never quite pegged you as the Superman kind of girl." He said with a grin. He had to hush Bran (who saw the ice cream and began to yip, not bark but yip) and promised to give her the last little bit.

Thanking the server, she took her cone and inspected it with a pleased smile. So pretty...
Outside, thanking Conan for making room, she gave the blue colored part a small lick. ...Yum!! "I've never had it before," she admitted, looking the pretty creams over again. "I just thought it looked yummy." She blushed a tiny bit. "...besides, today is a day for new things, right? Thank you for paying for it."

Conan ate some of his ice cream before Gem replied. He was in mid-lick when she spoke and he froze hearing that she had only picked it because it looked yummy. "Really? Never had it before but only picked it because it looked yummy...... I suppose it is a day for new things." He said after a moment with a grin, "And you're welcome." He then continued to eat his ice cream.
((Wanna do a short couple of hours time skip and say that they discussed all kinds of things? .... just so we can move ahead. XD))

Seeing his reaction, she had to giggle. She supposed it was pretty odd, picking out a flavor because it looked nice. "At least it is as yummy as it looks." To make her point, she took a big bite of the cream in order to get all three colors at once. COLD!!!! After the initial shock, she laughed again. "You should try it some time. Don't bother with the labels. Just look at the ice cream, and choose from there."
((They just need a skip long enough to finish their food. Doesn't need to be hours unless you want it to be. ^^ Let's move along then. ))

A couple of hours later~
Conan sat back in his chair smiling at Gem. It had been wonderful talking to her and he had no problem sitting here and staying with her longer. That nagging feeling had even gone away. Bran wasn't too content to stay but she listened well and stayed quiet. "So how about we go see a movie this weekend? Or go on a picnic?" He asked. It was then that a dark shadow appeared.
"So this is where you have been. You are so dead mutt." Kristopher said stepping up to the table. He hardly spared a glance at Gem and had a extremely annoyed look on his face. "By the way it's not me that wants to kill you so much. You made Blue late for work. In fact she had to call me and get me to leave my work to find you."

The waning hours should have brought along the edge of sleep, but not a single bit was felt. She was too caught up in the joy of the evening to worry about something like the passing time. Her smile, present pretty much the whole evening, grew a little more from the offer. "Either of those would be fun."
She didn't give the shadow any mind until it started talking. Brow rising, she looked up in surprise. They'd made Blue late for work? Oh no! Smile finally falling, she looked at Conan apologetically. "I've distracted you from your duties.. I'm sorry."

Gem had replied before Kris spoke so Conan spoke to her first. "Well how about we do both." He replied before looking at Kris. He frowned not understanding how he made Blue late. "I don't know how me being away made Blue late." He said. He was about to tell Gem that there was no reason to apologize when Kris spoke up.
"How about I tell you. It's a little pup name Charis. If you remember Nergui isn't home anymore and I'm at work... or supposed to be. So if Blue has to go to work who watches Charis?" He said very sarcastically.
Conan paled a bit as Kris spoke. He had completely forgotten that he had to watch Charis. "Oh no........ I forgot all about it!" He yelp standing up quickly. He looked at Gem with a panicked look. "I'm so sorry but I have to go. I'll call you later!" He grabbed Bran's leash and then rushed off with her racing after him.
Kris glared after Conan and then looked at Gem. He said nothing before he spread his wings and flew off.

Blushing a littler further, she couldn't help but giggle as Conan ran off. He was such a loyal and diligent guy... She glanced briefly up at Kris, giving him another apologetic smile before he flew off.
Suddenly, she was alone. She didn't want to go home yet. There was too much to think about! Maybe a nice roll through the garden would be nice.
