So...I was thinking of starting up an rp as well, but only if others would find interest in it. It's a bit of a laid back rp idea until everyone is comfortable and finds a nitch for their characters.
I'mma call it Kanzen. It's actually a very old rp setting a made many years ago, originally meant for a chatroom style rp. However I believe it'll work just fine in forum form as well.
Setting is a forgotten island village off the coast of Japan. You could say it's somewhere between Japan, China, and lingering near Korea. Set loosely in the feudal age. I'm not gonna be strict with historical accuracy or anything, just no guns. gunpowder maybe, so there can be fireworks, dynimite, maybe cannons, however a hand held lead spitting device has yet to be achieved. And as a plus, it's also Fantasy. So that means demons (oni) can exist with humans. On the mainlands, demons aren't all that welcomed, however on this island they are accepted, as long as violence stays off shore. (doesn't mean there won't be violence, its just looked down upon by the villagers, so bad guys are welcomed, yo~ ). Basically the island is forgotten and it seems only the lost and wandering people/creatures seem to find their way here and eventually call it home. A cursed/damned isalnd if you will. There are those who can leave the island with ease, like traders and fishermen, however there are others that no matter how hard they try to leave, they always seem to get lost in the fog and return to the island.
As for a plot. other then slowly revealing the mysteries of this island, I refuse to let others in on the plot until things move forward ( if they moves forward). But just think of it as a sort of slice of life rp, where each person can tell their tale.

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing alright. I'm writing this notification to say that I'm going to be temporarily unavailable this weekend to RP. My family is heading up to a cabin for the weekend, and wouldn't you know it? They don't have internet. So, I'm going to try and post in everything that I'm apart of before I go. Just a heads up in case anyone was looking for a response from me in something. I should be back sometime on Sunday.

Eh... This is probably going to be disregarded, but I just want to say something. We're actually kind of a family, you know? A dysfunctional, crazy as hell family who tend to snap at each others throats, but still. I'm glad I have you guys. You helped me get through a lot of things, actually. And even now. (Even though I should be doing class work.)
Where else can you find people working together to put a story together? (Beside other groups) Yes, there are miscommunications, but we fix them in the end, right? So, to be honest. Thanks to everyone. Really. ^^
