Ethereal Dream venusfire Ethereal Dream venusfire Does anybody know how old the characters are. oh ok, that's all I wanted to know cause i'm currently reading daja's book. She only mentions them very briefly, and Briar doesn't know how old he really is. I think she leaves it ambiguous on purpose.

I love briar. He is the funnest out of the 4 and i don't know, how can you not like him! (in the first series, i kinda don't like him in the will of the empress)

My favorite is Briar because he starts of as a theif with nothing in his future but when it all gets turned around for the better he still retains some of himself and doesn't lose himself if that makes any sence to you people. But i really like Tris because she has an awsome power its sorta hard to control like her temper which makes her and me a lot a like. sweatdrop

This one is pretty hard. I've not been reading the first one for that long, but I already like Sandry. She seems so...I don't know what the word is, but rank doesn't seem to mean much to her, unless someone is being picked on. She uses her rank for the right reasons; that's what I meant. Tris has the awesome temper, but there's something odd about her. Briar is funny and cool. He's so sweet with all of his plants. And Daja...Daja can fight. Even though her staff makes her in exile, she still carries it and bears it. I like her a lot, though for some reason lots of people don't.

Makes sense to me. And I agree. Briar, despite everything, keeps the things that really make him him. He changes into someone who's older and more mature and probably a better person, but he doesn't loose himself in the process. And that him is my favourite character. He's just different to the others. He's good, but not all good. Not a Mary Sue, I guess.

I love Sandry so far. She's just so...polite. And nice, no matter what the situation. And she defends Little Bear!

Hmm, a favourite?
That's hard to choose.
I like Sandry because she is small, but can still stick up for herself, and others around her. Daja keeps a cool head for the four, she rarely loses her temper, and learned her magic well. Briar pretends he doesn't like the girls, but defends them whenever he can; he is very loyal to his friends. Tris has magic that connects with her emotions, she has to learn how to control herself, and does so well. She learns how to use her temper wisely.
I like them all.

I like Briar the best. He just has this cool personality.
I like Sandry too but sometimes she too much of a goody-good.
I really like Tris in the second series but not so much in the first can't remember why though.

I think Briar would have to be my favorite but if I was only considering the girls then probably Tris b/c her magic is so totallly awesome but when it comes down to it all 4 of them annoy a little bit.

I like Tris the most because she doesn't really care what anyone thinks. She's aloof from everyone else, but she's still loyal to her friends. I love the way she learned to harness her power in her hair. And, has been said before, the whole losing her temper and reading all the time reminds me of me sometimes. Plus, her power is awesome. Who wouldn't like to be able to dance in a storm without worrying too much about the lightning? IMHO, Tris is awesome.

They all have their own characteristics. Sandry is one of those perfect people, mary sue, if you will.
Tris has a temper, but she stands up for what's right. She changes, in the books, form a picky merchant's daughter to a proper mage.
Briar had the most fun, not counting the war or whatever. He met evvy, and that's cool.
Daja, she never gave up, and had a happy ending, just like them all.
So they're all great, even though they have their bad moods
