"Ah, yeah, I don't think I'm helping by distracting you."
And he certainly could not help by trying to do the math. He worked in a library, and there were some numbers involved, but most of the time it was letters. They were much friendlier, he had to admit. He smiled apologetically and looked at Dogby, who was still waiting less than patiently for food and attention.
She whined.
Dogby smiled and moved to pick her up, letting her cuddle against him. She was just playing up how very sad it was to not be given a donut as well. That was just not fair. Tony scratched her behind the ear, though, and soon enough all was well.
Life was easy for the corgi, really.
Tony walked back to the library desk at the front, finding a small line of angry and impatient looking people waiting for him. He frowned at it and looked down at the dog in his arms. She was going to have to be extra cute for this one.
He dove in.
