Finally, Kaitlyn had gotten hired. She could relax a little more knowing she'd be making enough money to pay for the bare necessities. "Good morning, miss Kynes," she greeted when she stepped into the small shop. From what Kaitlyn could remember from her years at Hogwarts, this place was never too busy. However, when it was, it was mostly filled with couples who acted really cute when they were together. In fact, Kaitlyn has had quite a few dates here with her previous boyfriend.

Persephone Kynes Owner of Madam Puddifoot's Graduate of Salem Witches' Institute 23 Years Old Today would be an amazing day. After all, it was the first day that the students from Hogwarts would be visiting. Hopefully they would bring lots of business. She hoped so. She had set aside prizes and cut some prices to try to get new customers to visit the shop.
Persephone looked at her clock. Her barista wasn't there yet. 'Kaitlyn better turn up before the kiddies,' the owner thought to herself as she made sure that everything was in order.

Kaitlyn pushed the entrance door open and stepped through it. "Good morning!" she exclaimed as she arrived. Just on time for opening, but she figured she'd better apologize for arriving so late. "I was running a little behind this morning," she explained as she tied the apron around her neck. The young woman knew she should have arrived early to help set up, but it seemed as though Persephone was able to get everything in order without any help.

Jane opened the door and stepped in to the cozy little shop. She hadn't visited it since probably her third year and she wasn't quite she why. She loved this place, really she loved her tea. What could she say? She was a hugely stereotypical Brit. She seemed to be hit with warmth, light, and wonderful smells as she entered. The weather outside was quite mild but Jane was freezing not that it was a huge surprise. Jane was pretty much coldblooded. "Hello" She said politely to who she assumed was the owner. Jane removed her gloves and ran a pale hand through her dark hair.ooc: outfit in top picture

Persephone Kynes Owner of Madam Puddifoot's Graduate of Salem Witches' Institute 23 Years Old Persephone turned around when she heard the bell, ready to greet a customer. She stopped herself when she saw it was her only employee. "There you are!" the owner exclaimed with a smile. Now they could start for the day. "As long as you're here. Today's so important. It's the first Hogsmeade weekend at Hogwarts. Hopefully we get tons of customers," she explained while Kaitlyn got ready.
Eventually, the door opened, causing the bells to sound yet again. This time however, there was a customer. "Hello there and welcome to Maddam Puddifoot's," Persephone smiled. "Today we're doing a giveaway. Because you're our first customer of the day, you get to choose from the items on the board." The pink haired woman indicated the board next to her to the young woman.

Kaitlyn nodded as Persephone explained why today was special. She looked over the list of giveaways on the board as the bell above the door dinged. She looks really familiar, she thought as she stared at Jane for a moment. What's her name again? The girl belonged to the same house as the barista, only she was four years younger than her.

Kaitlyn turned her head away from Jane when she heard a higher pitched voice. "Hello, welcome to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop." She recited what Persephone said earlier to the previous customer. "Today, we have some giveaways. Since you're our second customer of the day, you get to choose from one of the items on the list." Kaitlyn pointed towards the board that showed several empty slots for giveaways.

Kaitlyn smiled at the young girl as she walked her over to the board. "What's your name, miss?" she asked since she had to write down the names of people who had won a giveaway. After finding out the Ravenclaw girl's name, Kaitlyn wrote it down on the board. Giveaways

Shina Kiremono~Fourth Year~Ravenclaw Seeker "Thank you," Shina said, handing over the money. Taking the tea, she added more sugar than she would normally like, stirring briskly to dissolve the grains. Mint and chocolate went very well together, and while the first sip of her tea was very sweet, she knew it would be perfect after her first bite of cake. After considering it a moment, she also added a dollop of cream. Shina took a deep breath, smelling the baking cake. "Do you use a charm to keep the frosting from melting off the warm cake?" she asked curiously. ((OOC: ... ))

Kaitlyn smiled at Shina after taking the money and giving her the food. "You're welcome," she said before wiping down the counter. As she was cleaning, her eyes darted to look at the Ravenclaw girl. "Mhm, we use a charm to make sure it will stay on the cake," she explained. "It just looks so much more perfect than muggle made cake."

Kaitlyn shrugged before tossing the cloth back to where she got it from. "Can't argue with that, but muggle food always falls apart after five minutes. It just doesn't look," she said, trailing off to think of a word to describe how food with charms looked. She said, "perfect," when she couldn't think of another word. A smile appeared on her lips when she heard the sound of delight come from Shina. "Is it good?"
