Natron nodded. Well, at the very least he would do his best and fight as hard as he could for the Negaverse. Maybe he'd impress his higher-ups and get promote, and maybe he'd be a grunt forever, but at least he'd know he'd done his best.

"Huh, cheesecake, never would have guessed." Natron said, but he cracked a smile. As much as she had intimidated him, it was good to know that there was a more human side to the Dark Mirror Captain. "If I see her again I'll be sure to try and get her some." The Lieutenant agreed. He would definitely rather have friends on the Chaos side than simple allies.

"I wonder if he just thought I wasn't worth fighting," Natron shrugged. Either way, he had escaped unscathed. "I'll be careful from now on, though." Any advice from someone who had been around as long as Benitoite was good advice, as far as he was concerned.

Natron nodded. "Sounds liek a good system," he said. He considered which direction to go in, and sort of...chose one at random that happened to have a building that looked well within jumping range. "Uh, I think the other one, Troy, he said his name was, is a bully in his civilian life." He had seemed well-rehearsed enough when he was typewriter'ing Natron, that had just been embarrassing. "I was pretty totally unprepared, and I made a stupid decision to confront him." The Lieutenant was well aware of his own responsibility in this. He had poked the tiger, as it were, in his eagerness to be a good soldier and get a victory under his belt.

"Mmm, indeed. I've taken her out, as friends, a few times for cheesecake. She's quite nice to talk with, a good friend to have." Cheesecake wasn't something he himself liked but he did treat her once in awhile and they'd talk, she'd have a drink with her cake and he'd have an espresso, as they talked about this life and civilian life. It worked well really, and they were friends in his opinion, it worked well to have friends on your side no matter if they were dark mirror, corrupted, or nega as far as he was concerned. They all served chaos.

"Trust me, we may all be fighting this war but we are all also human and lead normal lives. We all like the same things any other person would. Leto will likely be quite happy with an offer such as that." Such as himself, he liked his espresso and flavored water and juice, he had a dog, and he went to high school. He was about as normal as they came, or so he thought, until you looked into his night life. It was when you got into his night life that he wasn't so normal anymore.

Shaking his head he smiled lightly at the other. "I doubt that, Camelot is odd. Says one thing, does another, tries to be good but fails. He was being good to you, talking and such, but that's something I don't think he can hold onto. I'm sure he'd like to think he's all good, that he's everything he preaches, but he's not and so he was nice that time. It wasn't thinking that you weren't worth fighting, it's cause your young and his I won't fight complex. It'll run out with you soon enough, like it did for me." Shrugging. He and Camelot had spoken once and it had gone nicely, they'd been cordial, and than it had gone and done a complete turn around. He didn't think for one moment that it was just him either, he figured it was just how Camelot was. Nice and such and than bam! He'd change.

Listening as he spoke of a knight he found himself interested. Troy wasn't a name he knew, so there was no information or face to put to the name, so he listened and hoped to remember the others words so he was aware of this, in case he ran into this Troy. Noting the building they would be jumping to he easily leapt off the roof top they were on and made the distance with well practiced ease. Landing on heeled boots with a soft sound.

"Troy isn't a name I know, and it is good that you picked up on his civilian personality. It's likely correct and if you know how a bully works you can figure him out." Meaning he'd be easy to predict in that sense. "I doubt it was stupid to confront him, unless he was higher in rank than you, if not than it wasn't stupid. You need training though so you don't find yourself hurt, it'll also help with stamina, perhaps talk to the one who brought you in. Also, I know I do run some training sessions as well. Now then, come, let's see how well you do with roof top travel."

Natron nodded. It definitely sounded like a good idea, and Leto was someone he absolutely wanted on his side. Being friends with the Captain of the Dark Mirror had to have its benefits. Like looking really good to the rest of her Court.

"Yu know, speaking of friends outside the war," he said, "we've actually met before. As civilians." Natron cracked a smile. There was no reason not to share with Benitoite, right? Plus, he already knew the General's civilian side. Share and share alike. "Gabriel Blake. We chatted after school. I was recruited that night." How interesting that it had all lined up that way, that he had met Alexandre who knew so much and was secretly a soldier in the war, and that very night had been initiated himself.

He nodded at the insight into Camelot. Didn't everyone like to believe they could live up to their ideals, but was never quite able to? Of course, in this case it could very well end in him getting punched in the face. Not a happy thought. "It's funny, he really did seem almost receptive. But, well, I guess if you're as thoroughly blinded by Order as someone like him must be, you can justify just about anything." He said, sighing quietly. How frustrating and sad.

"I hadn't thought of it that way," he said. He did have a fair idea of how bullies worked, considering how many encounters he'd had with them. "Trainign does sound like a good idea though. I'm not exactly a natural at the whole hitting people part of the job." He frowned, and leapt after Benitoite. The landing wasn't perfectly stuck, but he hit the roof and didn't fall off, which was clearly the important thing.

It helped to have her on your side just because she was a good fighter, and her having your back in a fight was a good thing. He'd never needed her to have his back though, but if it ever came up he was sure she'd have it, he knew he'd have her back if she ever needed it.

"Have we...Ah, yes we have. How interesting...I was actually, after our talk, thinking of the promise you showed as well. Had someone else not gotten to you I'd have come seeking you my self." He stated calmly while looking the other over. "You don't look the same, the Negaverse suits you." He spoke with something of a playful smirk in place. "I've yet to bring someone into this war, it's something I need to learn to do. I was going to bring your name to a fellow General and see if she would accompany me when I searched you out." Even Generals needed help and had things to learn, bringing someone into the war was the lesson he still needed. Fighting he could do but always was improving. Teleporting he could do, all he could do there was travel and therefore gain in the amount of places he could teleport himself.

"Yes, order can blind a person. Perhaps the best way to put it is that anything all good will eventually turn bad as it turns against itself. Nothing is ever perfect and in it's attempt to wipe out all that is not this ideal, perfection, of good it will turn bad as it destroys everything...till nothing is left. It does not realize there is no all good and will not accept anything less. Perhaps this is the path he is on...I do not know. But I do know he is not to be taken at face value, he is unable to live up to his own words." Shaking his head he smiled at the other. "Truly a man not to be trusted." Watching the other land he smiled wider, good he hadn't fallen off or missed the roof altogether. Not for a moment did the thought of his own side being like that c

"Speak with your General, I do not wish to steal you from them, I do have a group that does training. Leto is a member of that group as are a few others from her faction." Already moving, in quirk but short, strides across the roof top he leapt toward the next one. He had, over time, gotten proficient at roof top travel.

Natron felt himself swell with pride at the thought that Benitotie had also seen potential in him. It was a strange thought, to know that two different Negaverse generals had thought he was worth recruiting. Maybe there was something in him after all. "Well, I have to say, I feel better as an officer." He said. "I'm not just...some dumb kid with a head full of theories anymore. Also, degree of validation and all." He reached up to run his fingers through his hair. "I'm sure you'll find someone." He said. There had to be plenty of people out there who the Negaverse could take in.

Natron nodded. Benitoite's words made plenty of sense. Order sought perfection, and eventually would turn itself inside out trying to perfect everything. "Thanks for the warning," the Lieutenant said. "I'll be on guard if I meet him again." He nodded.

"I'll talk to Painite," he said. He was sure that she wouldn't mind, though, she had to be a busy person and having the duty of worrying about training him off her back would probably be a relief. He followed Benitoite, grinning. He wasn't perfect at this, but he really, truly loved it.
PostPosted: Mon Oct 15, 2012 10:25 pm

"It's good to have you as an officer, at least in my opinion. Someone who cares as you do and shows the enthusiasm you do." He spoke, giving the other praise. "And no, no longer are you a simple student with ideas and theories. You now are in the know, even if you can't tell other people." And he didn't think the other would mind not being able to tell others, not with what he now knew and would learn over time. No, it was likely to be a worthy trade off, with all the knowledge he'd learn and had gained already. The other also was being given the opportunity to fight for his freedom and that of others, to fight against the aliens.

"Yes, because he doesn't seem the sort to worry over at first. He is very...innocent seeming." He doubted the Knight did it on purpose, it seemed like it was who he was as a person. Alexandre honestly didn't think he sought to be how he was - he just was. Whether he realized what he really was Alexandre didn't know but Camelot was not he person he told people he was, and he knew it first hand.

Stopping he turned to the other, perched on the next rooftops ledge. "Painite...it was Painite who brought you in? She always has good taste." He said, laughter in his voice, as he shook his head. "She was the General I was going to bring with me to seek you out when I went to bring you in. She's trained me to fight and helped me with gathering energy on more than one occasion. She is a close friend of mine, as an agent and as a civilian." Smiling he glanced the other over and nodded his head then. "Good taste indeed, she picked a good person to join." Which also told him that his own taste had been good, even if he hadn't brought Gabriel into the war.

"Perhaps the three of us should spend an evening out gathering energy...let her have fun and plot something, she does like her plots. But not just yet, not for a while yet - I think."

Natron could not stop smiling. It was such a rare thing for him to receive praise, and from a superior officer in the war he now found himself thoroughly dedicated to... "The not sharing, that's kind of the hardest part, I think." He said. "Even if it's for everyone's good...I mean, if civilians really understood what was going on, they'd just put themselves in danger." He firmly believed people would involve themselves, and to him that was a terrifying thought. Unpowered individuals throwing themselves into this mess? Nuh-uh.

Natron admittedly was not good with the whole deceit thing unless it was supposedly being perpetrated by people in power. So it seemed easy for him to believe that Camelot wasn't intentionally lying, merely misguided, driven by whatever strange brainwashing Order gave its members.

"Yeah, it was Painite," he said. What an interesting coincidence that was..."She's a pretty remarkable person," he agreed. She had been the first person whose civilian identity he knew, which he guessed was fair since she knew his. Of course, at this point the young Lieutenant was probably lucky he wasn't quite literally glowing from praise.

"I'd like that, going out with other people." Safety in numbers, plus bonding time with his superiors? Seemed like an excellent plan to him. Plus, he'd love to see two Generals in action. Maybe he could pick up tips!
PostPosted: Tue Oct 16, 2012 9:42 pm

"Indeed, it is what happened in the past." He answered with a shake of his head, a small gesture. "The original war was fought by normal people, who hadn't the power we do now, it didn't end well. In fact...we see some of those remaining individuals every time we see a youma - I do assume Painite would have told you about the youma." Or shown him what one looked like, maybe brought him down the negaspace or the rift even.

"Indeed, she is. She is quite the impressive individual. I believe she was a Captain when I first met her, she was impressive then even." And Bazzite had been a Lieutenant, something he still was. But Bazzite would, if he had any way of helping the blue haired ninja, make it to Captain soon enough. He planned on helping him as much as he could, he didn't want the other coming to harm.

"If you want, and it suits you well, we could arrange nights to go out together. I'd like to see to your safety when Painite isn't with you, as I'm sure she will be with you often. I have another Lieutenant who lives with me, one who Painite also knows and trained. I can't say if he'll join us but I like to make sure the new, and lowest ranked, members are safe while out performing their duties." Of course everything was up to what Painite had planned for him, he was not about to go stealing Lieutenants from her. He wished to just help when she was busy.

Natron had seen youma, of course. He was not, however, aware of their origins. It had not been part of his "Negaverse 101," admittedly. "I, uh, I'd seen youma, but...I had no idea that's what they used to be." He sounded genuinely sad about what had happened to them. Youma creeped him out. A lot. But he felt quite a bit more affection for them, given their origins.

He had trouble imagining Painite as anything other than the scary awesome General with a spear, but of course he supposed she had to have come up through the ranks as well.

Natron nodded eagerly at the suggestion of going out with Benitoite and this other Lieutenant. "I think that's a great idea," he agreed. "I'll definitely talk to Painite; I've been doing the solo thing mostly." Some ways, it had worked out. Other ways....it really, really hadn't. He much preferred the idea of being out with someone else.

Besides, the more the merrier (and the safer), right?

"Indeed, it was a lesson I got early on. They were killed by the Moon's Queen. It was when they confronted her that she attacked and perhaps she didn't plan to kill them, maybe her intention was to do as she had, either way they are the people who fought in the first war. It is...why I protect them from senshi and knights, because they don't car and find sport in youma killing."

Once more he glanced the other over. "What is your weapon anyway? I ask only because I'd like to know what you have to work with, if we are out one evening and anything happens." It was good to know what your allies could, and couldn't, do. He wasn't expecting anything spectacular, or even good in a fight, with the other but you never knew what you'd see a Lieutenant in possession of.

"I will of course share with you my own weapon." He spoke, turning fully to face the other. Standing still on the roof top as he summoned his own weapon, similar and yet not the same as Painite's spear.

Natron frowmed. "That's...horrible. "He said. "No matter what she meant to do, what she did is...just, awful." He said. He nodded slowly. "I'll keep an eye out for Knights or Senshi hassling youma. That's not right."

He tilted his head. "Oh, yeah, my weapon." He summoned it-he didn't really commonly have it out when he was just draining energy. It got in the way. "Er, a dodgeball. Could be worse, I guess?" He said. It wasn't entirely useless, at the very least.

Of course, it paled in comparison to a really awesome spear, but he was just starting out. Surely his weapon would get better!
PostPosted: Wed Oct 17, 2012 9:04 pm

"Indeed, the act she committed is a sin as far as I'm concerned. To condemn them as she did, to take their body from them and create what she did. Surely to be able to do such a thing is proof of her evil." He spoke. He had a passion, and a care, for the youma within him that hadn't cooled in all this time. It had just been burning away in the background. It was seen in his eyes and heard in his soft, low, voice as he spoke.

Shaking his head quickly as he took in the sight of the others weapon. "No, it is not so bad. You can at least do something, and it is a distance weapon - it's good. I had a small, simple, paintbrush myself. So in comparrison I would say yours is quite good. It will, of course, change over time as you gian in power. It is not a weapon you are stuck with forever."

Approaching the other, his own weapon vanishing, he placed a hand on the others shoulder. "I have no doubt you will find yourself a Captain, and with a better weapon, sooner than you may think of believe. It is what made me also want to bring you into the Negaverse that will bring you to Captain soon enough. Until then you will you will do well with that dodge ball." And no doubt hit a few senshi in the head, or so he hoped, maybe knock one or two right onto their scantly clad a**.

He nodded, a dark look on his face. "And Senshi and Knights kill youma...for sport?" He had never seen it, but the very idea infuriated him. Did they know what they were doing? He sure hoped not.

Well, now he had a small, personal mission to correct them.

Natron winced at the idea of fighting with a paintbrush. "I can't imagine that was very helpful," he said. And he worried about how his dodgeball got in the way sometimes. "I am curious to see what it turns into." He said.

There was a slight starry-eyed affect in his eyes. "I really hope so. I feel like I can't do a lot right now, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to try." He nodded firmly. "But a dodgeball, really not so bad all things considered. I mean, it'd probably work better if I had a better throwing arm, but I can peg it at faces." That was one thing he liked about it. Sure, he had to take his hands off his weapon and throw it around, which had risks, but the look on his enemies' faces when they got pegged with a dodgeball was usually pretty priceless.
PostPosted: Thu Oct 18, 2012 7:21 pm

"Some do, yes. I met a senshi, one I wished to court and bring to our side, who considered himself neutral. He stayed because he could kill the youma, or so I gathered from our interactions. Some senshi you tell the truth to care, but will argue that regardless the youma take energy from people and cause harm. Other people don't care, or don't believe it. The truth is the youma need the energy, to continue living as they do." And he didn't see them killing people, though even if he did one had to wonder just how he'd react to it - he did care for the youma.

"I was curious about my brush as well, I found it a lovely surprise when it became this. Between the simple paintbrush and this I had a brush larger than I am tall. Quite difficult to use but a good way to learn. it was another general who told me that the weapons we get before we become generals are to prepare us to handle the weapon we get as a general. That without that training, learning how to handle the size or weight, that we can injure ourselves or allies. So everything else is training, preparation for our final weapon. It is something I'd like to believe." He spoke, smiling at the other. He could still remember that talk, those words, the not so innocent civilian being killed by himself and the General. It still bothered him but not nearly as much as it had then, as it would have before he'd joined this war.

"That being said I'd say to think of a throwing weapon as what you may wind up with, some distance weapon." He said before laughing and shaking his head. "Yes, I suppose you can. You should work on throwing, and aim, it would be good to do that. I'm sure senshi, and knights, don't expect to have a dodge ball, something from all our childhoods, thrown at them in battle. Rather amusing I'm sure."

Natron frowned and shook his head slowly. "I knew Senshi were nasty and crazy, but that just takes the cake." He said. The idea of staying on the Order side just to beat on poor youma... "It's not like we kill people when we drain energy, and I doubt youma do either." He'd yet to see one in action, but he liked to think they were at least reasonable.

He nodded slowly at the explanation of the way their weapons changed. "That makes sense," he agreed. To prepare and practice, and to be sure that he would, well, not do damage to whomever he was fighting with? That sounded like a good way to do things. He eyed his dodgeball. What could it possibly turn into? He had trouble thinking it over, but then he wasn't really one for instruments of death and doom.

"A distance weapon, huh. Yeah, probably," he agreed. Something thrown, or maybe flung? That seemed logical. "Believe me, it can get pretty fun," he said. Even if sometimes the Senshi were the ones laughing. "And, you know, I can stay at a safe distance and such." Because he didn't like the idea getting too up close and personal with this.
