"Like, be on stage, suddenly BOOM, your forced to henshin. WELL, THERE GOES LIFE! That would be my luck..." Bell sighed, "I kind of wonder how our lives would have gone if this war had never happened. I mean...why Destiny City? Why not New York? I mean, isn't that where most superhero things are set? Not tha tI would wish this on anywhere or anyone else...but I mean really."
What luck, huh? And obviously Destiny City was the only place having this problem. Why? It was so frustrating.

"I've wondered that myself... I mean it's like..." He floundered for words. "It's like a wild fire, or some kind of spill. First there were two or three senshi, now there's so many of us that the last time we had a meeting it was in an empty parking garage! That's nuts! Especially in only a few years. Something almost has to be at work behind the scene because otherwise what are the odds that upward of forty or fifty people in one city are reincarnated magical aliens or... knights or cavaliers or whatever." He didn't get the knight thing. He really didn't.
"No it's like... like radiation poisoning or... or a magnet. We were either drawn here or caused to be...reborn here because something is here, even if it's just the punchline to a cosmic joke."
He looked maybe a little desperate when he said this, because even if it was a cosmic joke, it was better than believing that it was purely random.

"And we're back to my pawn theory. We're just pawns in a horrible cosmic chess match."
Bell really didn't like feeling like they were being used to do someone or something's dirty work. And now she wasn't even sure if the cats weren't any more knowledgeable than they were.
"One thing is for sure - my life would be a lot more boring if not for all this."

"Ha, true..." He glanced at his burned arm and gave her a wry smile. "...I have to admit, even though that completely sucked roadkill, I kinda... missed it a little I guess? I mean I still hate hurting people but there's something to be said for jumping short buildings in a single bound."

"Yeah, the feeling of power is great and it'd be fun if not for the whole fighting part that sucks. But I guess without fighting there'd be no need for those powers..."
Back to those injuries...
"Thank goodness for super healing though, hn?"
Even if it didn't exactly...repair all the damage done. Bell's shoulder injury still hurt like hell from time to time. Especially with extensive use. And she still had that scar along her spine. But short recovery time was always a bonus.

"They probably feel the same way. It's probably why you don't really see people lined up to UNcorrupt. If you find the right people, why would they consider giving up all that power?" He sighed. "Did we ever find out if you -could- uncorrupt someone? I think I heard some rumors but..."
He was out of touch and he knew it, but it would be nice to know if there was an alternative to outright killing them, or just repeatedly beating on the same people over and over. He didn't want to be doing this when he was thirty. Or Forty. Or older than that.

"Once that I know of. Umm, I think she was Castor's girl at one point - Linarite? Now Lina Knight..."
Of course, what Bell didn't know was that she was once again Linarite. Re-corrupted... But otherwise, word got around.
Bell would much rather be purifying people than killing them. She'd done that once, and it still made her sick to think about it. Of course, there would always be those who would refuse purification...or be too far gone to accept it. Well...she wasn't going to be the one to kill them, that was for sure. That was something she and her senshi self could agree on - life, even that of your enemies, was precious. They were someone's friend, child, lover... You weren't just taking a life, but a little piece of so many others...
Even if she wasn't sure if their side, order, was right, she'd rather drag them to it if it meant ending the war. And she was sure Chaos felt the same. Well...maybe not totally. They were probably more along the lines of 'convert or kill.'

"Seriously? We actually managed to un-corrupt someone?" He was surprised by this, there'd been so much debate that they shouldn't bother, that the negaverse were permanently lost, which was supposed to make it ok to slice them up with fire-knives and the like.
"...Oh. s**t. I think that's the girl I burned the hell out of my first night out." He added, suddenly chagrined. "s**t. That's awkward."
Equally awkward was remembering Castor... (Ugh. CASTOR), fishing through Tallulah's underwear during meetings and pulling things out. He'd always been surprised that his then girlfriend, who was happy to remind people that she was very practical and afraid of the impact things would have on her life and career, had never kicked him to the curb for that behavior, literally or metaphorically.

Bell laughed a bit, "Well, hopefully she doesn't remember it. We're still not sure the effects purification has one one's memories, but it would kind of suck if a senshi were to be corrupted and still be able to remember the civilian identity of other senshi. I imagine purification would have an effect on memories as well..."
Which brought to mind just how much mental damage would be inflicted on someone if they here corrupted, or purified, more than once... It was all mere conjecture right now though. As far as Bell knew, it hadn't happened yet.
Bell took one last sip of her coffee, "I should probably be going. I'll get a copy of the script and music to you so you can get to know the material before the replacement auditions. I can help you with anything you need help with."

"Great, when we find out I'll type up a pamphlet we can hand out. This is your brain, this is your brain on Purification." He joked, holding up his hands as though he were framing it in the air. "If you find out more I'd love to know, but in the mean time I guess I'll study that script. Maybe you could give me some pointers on auditioning? I mean I've never been performance shy but I've never really done anything this serious before."

"Well," Bell began, "you're going to be required to recite a few lines of the director's choice. He'll hand you the script so you don't have to have the thing memorized by heart yet. And you'll be asked to recite a song - anything of your choice, just so the director can get an idea of your voice..range and stuff like that. You'll need to have some idea of character preference, too. Honestly, most of the cast is probably getting replaced, so anything goes," She shrugged.
This was old hat to Bell. Probably the only plays that could make her nervous about auditioning for would be two that she very much wanted to be a part of, but hadn't gotten the opportunity - PotO, and Wicked. RENT would make her nervous for other reasons - she didn't want to be Mimi again. Yeah. Bring that up sometime. See how red she gets. That said - Bell won't touch Chicago.

"Whew, well that takes a load off. At least I don't have to worry about memorizing stuff unless I actually get a part." He sighed, letting his shoulders droop in relief. "You got any suggestions where you think I'd be a good fit?" he asked. Bell was a pretty decisive girl, but she was also clearly invested in this thing, it wouldn't hurt to have her thoughts. "Or should I just read it over and see if there's any particularly charismatic trees?" He joked, following up by striking a vaguely tree like pose.

Bell laughed. "It's Beauty and the Beast - surely you've at least watched the Disney film? All the objects are charismatic," she returned the joke, then shrugged, "The director's a pretty cliche guy, if that tells you anything. I mean, he gave me my namesake simply because of my name, I'm pretty sure." Because Bell sure was battling with those lower notes in the songs...guh, Mezzos... "So go in looking like a candlestick and you'll probably come out of auditions as Lumiere," insert eye roll here. "Although I'm pretty sure we're keeping the dorkwad we have for that role..."
Dorkwad. That was a funny word.

"So you're saying if I want to be Cogsworth I need to grow an obnoxious little pencil mustache?" He asked, holding a finger in place to indicate said development of facial hair. "...I don't do that, don't worry. Pencil 'Staches just make me look like a desperate thirteen year old."
Beauty and the Beast huh? Should be fun. How interesting.

"Exactly," she laughed.
Perhaps it was best that the children's play director was a simple guy, unlike the more serious spring production, which required Hardy McHardass director.
All conversation said and done, Bell took her leave with much better things to occupy her mind and look forwards to.
