That smile. If he could paint the truth through her gentle and pleasant expression...that would be the world in which Vincent would desire to live. To love. To breath. To paint. To die. If he could do so with that smile...The lady's expression in the sky had always been so...tumultuous. To see her in such peace was beyond anything could ask for.
But like all great things, the smile was wiped from the world as quickly as it appeared. Trying to be strong, he continued forward. The pain in his heart and high in his mind balancing out.
Fighting his blush, he kicked at a rock before returning his eyes to eyes. "Do I my lady? I suppose I feel I do...while you've never truly met me. I believe you've spoken to me through the truth...the clouds...each raindrop...the stars that shoot across the sky and offer me a wish. Each twinkle...I...sought you. I looked for you in every rise and setting of the moon. I never thought...well to be honest I thought I was mad." Laughing nervously, he suddenly realized how very mad he might sound. "I'm not though...I...I promise. You dear lady are proof of that.."

Nayyara couldn't help but laugh again. His mannerisms with her was funny to see. Of course not in a bad way but a good way as it was something new for her to see. Her eyes dart to watching the rock he kicked tumble a few inches until it settled back down onto the ground. Looking back into his eyes as she walked with him, slower pace this time. She was enjoying his company. His words, he truly had a way of describing her. Just like hearing stories of her breed from long ago. A small smile plays across her nuzzle.
"The way you speak is if you know the bedtime stories elders use to speak of to the young long ago. I almost forgotten about them until we started speaking. I'm guessing you have heard of them?"
Glancing back at her sak, she wanted to make sure all of her precious little stars where still there. They were. Good. Looking back to the path ahead of them. Nayyara continued to guide them throughout the forest. It was peaceful & her guard wasn't up as high as usual. Was it because no one was around oddly? or is it because Vincent is with her? She stopped herself for continuing to ask questions inside her own mine. She didn't want him to see her face puzzled with these questions running around in her mind.
"Besides painting. . .what do you do?"

Vincent wasn't sure whether or not he should answer the first question. He'd never seen or heard of these stories...or even seen any other herla that resembled her. Would she think him mad? "Well I...I've never heard of the stories....just the ones I tell in my paintings."
"Be-besides painting?" He almost seemed confused at the second question. What was there besides his...his art? He had Sarah...and tried to teach fawns. "Well I...spend time with my sister...sometimes she needs a little confidence boost. She was teased horribly as a fawn." he chuckled a bit before ruffling his wings and smiling at the memory of sister's silliness. "I also try to teach the arts to fawns...but...they can be less than interested."

All Nayyara heard was his sister being horribly teased. Being teased. Nayyara knew that feeling more than most as she was teased throughout most of her life. It is why she hides from others now a days. It did make her smile a bit hearing how he gives her sister a confidence boost. She wished she had someone when she was just a fawn to help her, or help others understand the way she looked wasn't odd looking. Nayyara became lost in her thoughts as she began to relive memories of those that teased her. Shaking the memories out of her head, she realized she must of been quiet for a bit.
"That is very kind of you to be there for your dear sister & I'm sure the young ones will appreciate art sooner then you think"

Vincent barely noticed the silence. Time meant nothing when it was between the sweet tone of her voice...or walking beside her gentle gait. He furrowed his brows though...not really sure if he had ever been there for his sister the way she needed him to be. To truly cure her self hatred. "I wish that I could tell her a story that would truly help. That I could be there for her enough to quell the pain...'
Vincent sighed and turned to smile at her gently, his eyes somewhere else. "If I could paint her pain away...make a bridge from her heart to mine in the universe I would bare it all. But I suppose that is foolish..."

"It's not foolish at all. . .you only wish the best for her. That doesn't seem like foolishness within my eyes"
Glancing at him, Nayyara returns the gentle smile. Deep down she knew he could do all that he could but it was up to his sister to remove the pain in her life, to be confident. She chuckled lightly as she knew she needed to do the same. Nayyara then looked ahead of them. The trees weren't as thick, they began to spread out. They were getting close to the clearing where the observatory was. Nayyara's ears perk up as she was almost home. Looking back at her sak, she checked for all her stars. They were all there. Her smile widen as it was relief to come home with all of them this time.
"We're almost there, the clearing is coming up"

Vincent tried not to appear too happy at her commentary, although his ears perked and wings fluttered as if to say, she APPROVES!!!. The lady of the night and brilliant sky that shines brighter that any star APPROVES!!!.
Clearing his throat a bit he beamed at her and nodded. "Oh lovely, we are almost...I mean" His eyes filled with panic and his throat grew dry. They were almost to her clearing. What if she wished for him vanish and return nevermore? "I mean...its such a pity...that...that the walk was so brisk and short...but I'm glad your home...I mean...yes."

Nayyara stops to observe her traveling companion. Tilting her head she just looks at him. He was acting funny again. Looking back at her sak of stars before back up at Vincent. Now she was getting nervous for what she was going to ask. Should she, she thought.
"Would you like to help me collect stars tonight?. . .I mean sometimes some stars might not fall. . .but if they do it would be nice having help to catch them"
She looks away from him as her shyness starts to creep back up. Breathe she told herself, he seem a lot different from the othes that treated her so poorly. So she shouldn't be scared to let him into her home, right? She looks back over to him with a bit more confidence within her eyes.

Silently cursing his own foolishness, the words came to him a most pleasant and shocking surprise. Had he actually made a good enough impression on her to instill this trust? Not only did she agree to an escort....but to join her for the evening? Star catching? He almost felt like crying. For joy of course.
"Oh I..Yes. Yes please if you would like me to! Tell me everything I need to know....this sounds...amazing. Inspiring even. Thank you my lady."

"Inspiring? I never really thought of it like that now. . .Just sometimes in one of the rooms that I look up at the night sky at. . .stars sometimes tend to fall. But sometimes they don't"
Nayyara was speaking of one of the observation rooms that had the display of stars hanging from the ceiling. Due to some of the ceiling dilapidated from the years of motherearth taking back what was hers. The wind sometimes carries into the holes & would blow one of the ornaments off the ceiling. A small gentle smile as she looking at him.
"I hope it's not too boring for you. . ."
Nayyara begins to walk again, guiding him towards her home.

Boring?! Vincent's eyes became wide with the very shock she could think anything with or about her was anything but..but as magnificent as the lady of the sky he had envisioned in his paintings. "Boring my lady? How could it possibly be such a thing...to see or catch or falling star....to watch or capture the light of night sky? To participate in the cycle of burning life somewhere out in the deep blue sky that is unforgiving and magical? My lady that is anything but boring." he followed her like a watch dog, his eyes only for her and yet senses spread out to the world. Not that he would make a good protector...he couldn't paint someone to death...right?

Nayyara's cheeks seem to have flushed more, making a purplish tint on her cheeks from her blue fur. The way he spoke about her just astonished her each time he opened his mouth about her. She glances down at her hooves while walking with him. They started to get closer to her home, just over the small hill.
"I'm glad you won't find it boring, I never had another company with me while I went star watching. I'm glad it's you."
After a bit they finally made it to her home. Not far from them in the distances was an old huge observatory, mother-earth had really taken over the ruines of the old buildings, bushes & vines covered it. Vegetation was all over it. She smiles in delight as she sees her home. Looking over to Vincent, she seem to have smiled more as she welcomed him to her home. This was a big deal for herself as she never brought someone she just met home, to a place she felt safe from the world that judged her. But he didn't with her, so this was different.
"Welcome"

Vincent gaped as she said those words. Glad it was him...she was glad!!! He could have pranced all the way into her home had it not been so breathtaking to view. Mother nature had melded this structure and plant life so well together that Vincent couldn't say it didn't belong there."Your home is quite outstanding my lady...original and beautiful. Of those beyond and the earth. Just like you...Would you mind if I paint it someday?"

Giggling softly at his expression. He was quite adorable, as if his eyes were sparkling outside of his head at the thought of him painting her home. Nodding her head at the thought, it would be interesting to have. It was quite a beautiful home compare to the other places she lived in.
"I see no problem of you painting it at all, it's a lot nicer in the spring!"
She walks ahead of him as they get closer, There were a few entrances to get inside, but some were dead-ends because of the crumbling rumble of the building blocking some ways. Nayyara felt more relaxed being at home as she maneuver through some bushes. Looks back over to him she stops for a moment.
"Just follow me closely"
She makes her way towards closer to the building as she found the right entry way.

Vincent almost danced in place as she agreed, his movement almost not visible as his hooves and legs tried to contain themselves. Most herla found his desire to paint everything...well..a nuisance. Yet she had let him paint her and now perhaps her humble abode as well. And...she...she mentioned in the spring? Did that mean she expected them to be friends beyond this season?
Vincent nearly walked into the wall as he pondered that statement. How could everything be going so well. Getting himself under control, he nodded and smiled sheepishly. "Of course my lady, lead the way."
