Eliza had to say she liked Gabe, nodding enthusiastically when he said it had to be ghost. "I'll definitely go up and find out some time this week. What an adventure! Hopefully they are shy."
She laughed clutching her belly because laughing and running was exactly easy and in truth, whirlwind of energy or not, even Eliza had trouble keep a pace when all her air was being forced out in a fit of laughter.
She took a few deep breath and slowed that pace, grinning at Gabe, "sorry slowing down for a second. Laughing and running not easy."
She looked behind them up the path they been running on to note the bench and the tree they started at could not longer be seen. It was funny to Eliza how you could run so far without noticing it. She bet they could make it through the whole park.
"So I can't wait for halloween. I haven't decided what I am going to be yet, but I excited for some spooky halloween night fun. What about you?"

Gabe was surprised when he heard her burst into laughter. He slowed to keep pace with her, but he was grinning himself. He was glad to see that he had managed to make her laugh and smile. And it didn't even sound like the derisive laughter he was used to!
"If we need to take a break, we can," he said. He was starting to feel a little winded himself. And thirsty. Dang, he should've brought a water bottle. Ah well, c'est la vie. He'd remember next time he went exercising.
He glanced back. Wow, they had run pretty far, no wonder he was a little out of it.
"Oh, yeah, Halloween is always great." He said, grinning widely. "Might be considered a bit old for it, but you're never too old for free candy, right?"

Eliza nodded when he said they could take a break and looked around looking for a water fountain only to realize they had past it. She shook her head and looked forward again to see another a ways ahead. It wouldn't take long to get to it, since they were running and she picked up her pace a little bit more.
"Well, actually, last year was the first time I ever got to go out like that and get candy. Um where I live everyone is kind of spaced out, farms and all. We had hayride, bonfires, dancing, bobbing for apples and stuff like that but not many of us went trick or treating. It's a lot of fun, the Halloween bash home, but so is trick or treating."
Eliza grinned as they came up on the water fountain and veered off into the grass right near it before just collapsing onto it laughing and looking up at the sky. She was thirsty, but she just wanted to lay in the cool grass for a second.
She looked looked at the drifting clouds before looking over to Gabe, "Hey do you have a cell phone?"

Gabe looked rather sorry for her. "Oh man, that sounds fun enough but there's really nothing quite like running around the city in ridiculous costumes and getting free candy." He said. "You run into all kinds of people, and a lot of the costumes are fantastic."
Of course, he was constantly worried that the more realistic costumes might not be costumes at all, but then again he was pretty constantly paranoid now. Knowing that anyone really truly could be a Senshi or a Knight had that effect on him.
He flopped on the ground next to her, feeling intensely relieved. Oh god yes this felt so much better than the running thing.
"Huh? A cell phone?" For a brief moment, he blinked rather dumbly. "Oh, yeah." He reached into his pocket and pulled it out, offering it to her.

Eliza grinned, it was fun. There was nothing like Halloween back home, in the city, well not that she had experienced anyway. However, Gabe was right, the experience of running door to door all dressed in costume with gaggles of other was so much fun.
"I'm not sure what I will be, but I will be picking out something sometime this week possible. I really can't wait. It's sad that it is still so far away."
The grass felt so good against her skin, which was slightly sweaty. Most girls would find that gross, but Eliza so it as proof of her activeness. She wasn't at all afraid to get dirty, but the grass stains now on the back of her shirt were probably enough proof.
She took the offered cell phone, not really having expected her to hand it to him, then looked to him. Just a second later she was fiddling with it, putting her own number in without even asking before handing it back and displaying it to him.
"There now you've got my number," she said and pressed send, "and now I've got yours. I can call you when I go up to the roof and tell you if there really are ghost up there."
She silenced her own phone which played the Harry Potter movies opening theme song, only just then realizing the time and jumping up. "Homework," she exclaimed, "I forgot to do my homework. I got to go. See you around okay."
With that she ran off, heading home to finish her homework or else she wouldn't be patrolling later.

"Always one of the best holidays," Gabe said.
He was not sure how he felt about her fiddling with his phone. Who knew what strange things she might be doing-oh, oh, she was just putting in her number. Well, that was sort of a relief. His imagination tended to get away from him sometimes, and leave what little was left of his rational sanity far behind.
"Oh, yeah, thanks," he said. He gave her a shy smile, and then a nod. "Do call me up, I'm curious to know," he grinned.
He actually laughed, watching her fly off and away. "good luck with that!" He called after her.
Come to think of it, he probably had some of that himself. Ah well, he wasn't all that concerned about school anyway.
He decided to stay on the grass for a while, before standing up to continue his workout. He really had to get this done.
