"Of course I'm alright." She appreciated the buck helping her to her hooves, but really it was just a little stumble. Even though she did get the slug slime on her face. She was about to try to shake it off, when the soft fur of Watch's tail trailed down her face. He own fur bristled slightly, as the buck looked into her eyes. "T-that was.. .Uh, unnecessary!" She turned away, feeling very embarrassed for some reason. She started off again, ahead of the Watch, following the trail. "But... Thank you." She nodded to him, walking at a slow pace so he could easily catch up while being wary of the goo trail.

The red-eyed buck respectably lowered his tail and let her pass, but he couldn't help but chuckle at her flustered self. She was adorable. And very pretty. He picked up the pace until he was beside her again. "You are most welcome, my lady."

"As polite as you are, Watch," She glanced at him, still a bit flustered by his previous action. "It is not polite to laugh at a lady." She could help but laugh a bit herself. "But for you... I think I can let it slide." Outcry gave the the buck a playful nudge. He was actually quite nice, and a gentleman at that. "Now pick up the pace!" She mused, trotting beside him, "Or we'll never find the slug." She smirked, looking the buck over. "We seem to be slower than Pace." Or maybe they were just stalling to spend a bit more time with each other.

Watch grinned and lowered his head apologetically, "My deepest apologies, but you are very amusing." He nudged her back just as playfully, brushing his tail against hers. He was enjoying the time the were sharing. It was fun! It was nice to take a break from traveling once in a while, and he was glad to share it with her. "Slow? My lady, you are looking at one of the fastest Kimeti in this swamp. I was raised by the Kiokote, the wind-chasers, you know." He spoke proudly.

"I am amusing?" She scoffed at the thought. "I'd love to hear your reasoning behind that Watch." She smiled as he nudged her back. He was a great buck to get along with and not bad company at all. She brushed her tail against his to keep him on her toes, and dare she say interested. She was embarrassed by the thought. "Really?" She smirked, stopping her trot. "It looked like you were more of a leisurely buck. Not at all raised by those fast paced Kiokote." It was cute how he was so proud of this bit of information.

He laughed and nodded, "Oh yes, you keep getting all flustered and when I touch you, those pretty cheeks of your get quite rosy." He grinned, "It's quite lovely."Leisurely? He guessed that could possibly describe him. But in reality he was quick minded and easily excited. He loved to run and play around. He was very physical. "Fast enough to snatch birds from the skies, my dear. My mother is a beautiful Kio doe painted like the wide blue sky that flies above the plains. My father, a Kimeti dressed in the colors of the deserts, is a wanderer like myself. He left my mother before my siblings and I were born, so I consider the shadow-colored Kio who took care of my mother my real father." Watch smiled and stared off into the distance, missing them, "He taught me everything I know."

Outcry looked down. Had she really be turning pink? "I suppose it's the effect you have on me..." She looked up at the buck with a shy smile, her tail still brushing up against his. "I think it would be amazing to watch one day." She kept her eyes to the ground as he explained about his mother, father, and other buck. "I can see you got the colors of the sky from your mother." She peered up at the buck. "And the red, like the hottest fire, from your father perhaps?" Outcry watched the buck as he looked off into the distance. "I'm sure you'll see them again one day. A fast buck like yourself, born of Kiokote blood and raised by the kin themselves, it should be no problem for you."

His chin raised proudly more so at her response than her boastings. He had an effect on her? And boy, that little smile was a wonderful knock out. "Yes, the red is a gift from him, one of the few things he's ever given me." He flicked his red ears and continued, "Ah, if only it was just that easy. I can't just run off, I have a mission, a quest, you might say."

Outcry had to laugh a little. Now the buck held his head high! Did she feed his ego? "A mission?" She snapped from her thoughts. "What is this mission, or quest, that you have?" This stirred her curiosity as they followed the trail.

Now it was the buck's turn to flush red. Did she really want to know? It was silly, most kin didn't understand. He himself didn't even fully comprehend his dream. "...Promise you won't laugh?" He asked, unsure.

Now the buck was turning red? This must have been what he meant, and now Outcry knew why it was so funny, yet so lovely. She smiled, offering a gentle brush of her tail. "I promise I won't laugh. You can tell me."

He sighed at her touch, and pressed a little closer to her as the walked, letting their flanks just barely brush. Could he trust her not to laugh? He found himself answering that without a missed beat. He did. "Alright, my lady, if you promise. But only because you smiled, understand?" He grinned, "One day, when I was still small, I hated my father with all of my being. I loathed him for leaving my mother to raise us, never staying to take care of her and treat her right. But my Kio-father, the buck who did all those things my real father had abandoned for his traveling, told me I was wrong to judge him so harshly. He told me to try and see the world as my father did, so that I may understand. And so I did. My kio-father and I, we traveled for days to this amazing place he had heard stories of from his own mother. The Great Ocean..." Watch paused, wistfully gazing in the direction of the water, "I understood then. Why he'd left us for the world. Not an excuse, mind you, I'd never leave my children behind. But I felt the draw, the rush. The need." He paused to look at her, "From that day, the water has called to me. It is my life's goal to see and witness all that the water touches."

Outcry enjoyed the closeness and the occasional gentle brush of their flanks. She found her eyes set on the ground again as she hid a blush and listened to his story. Everything the waters touched? She hadn't even imagined what this Great ocean was like and she had been there, yet too afraid to venture onto it's sands. "I think..." She paused, mulling over her thoughts. "I think that is a noble quest. You took it upon your self where you did not have to. You saw the world through your father's eyes to know why he made his choice." Outcry nodded slowly. He had went out of his way to try to understand his father even though he did not know him. She blushed a bit at the mention of his children. She didn't know why she was particularly embarrassed by this subject. Maybe be she could feel the attraction? "I would think you would be a good father to your children. Maybe one day your children will follow in your footsteps." Blinded By Silence I said this before, but Watch is adorable. XD

"Until I see all of it, my life will never be complete." He murmured, thoughtful. Watch loved nothing more than he did the Great Ocean. But the hook it had in him was a deep and painful one. Once he'd bitten into the bait, he was caught, no escape. But at least he was enjoying it. Sure, it was lonely most of the time, but the things he'd seen... "If they do follow my lead, I wish it be by their choice rather than getting tangled in the web of fate. But, agian, fate has its way of working some beautiful magic for those who are patient with it." He grinned at her.

Outcry took in his thoughts and offered him an opinion with her teal eyes gazing at the ground. "There will be someone with you, I believe that." She smiled to the ground. "Fate works so unexpectedly..." She loved that he could love something so much. She had not loved something as much as his love for the Great Ocean in all her lifetime. It was a charming fact to know about him. "Maybe it was fate for us to meet like this." She turned her teal eyes on him again, flashing him a brilliant smile filled with her earnest feelings of joy.
