"He WHAT!?" Urban roared the question in outrage at Ghede's words, his eyes narrowing. "Why that son of a b***h, I'm gonna pull his spine out through his eye sockets...." oh yes, he was rather pissed and his arm tightened around Jayme lightly. Sure Reese paid him but at this point, he'd watch the kid for free. He had that whole big brotherly thing going on with him.
Jayme was watching Ghede with tightly pressed lips, listening to all that was being said, but his eyes were so very wide, and frightened. He knew what Ghede was getting at, and shuddered. Reese had come close to unpleasant things a few times recently.
"I know I need to get out. But I don't know where to go....I don't have anything. Reese has control of all my money." his words were soft, frightened. "You can stay here kid. I'll sleep on the couch, you take the bedroom, at least until we can find you your own place, and find a way to get your money."
Jayme looked thoughtful, and gave a slight nod. It was better than nothing. But something confused him, and he got to his feet then and slowly moved towards Ghede so he could look him in the eyes. "Why? Why are you helping me?" he was trying to make sense of that.

Ghede's smile faded instantly at Jayme's question. His eyes searched the Teddiursa teen's face. No one really asked him why he did anything, much less when he was helping someone. He was at a loss for once as to what to say. He opened his mouth a few times, but no words came out. Eventually, he gave a nervous laugh and squeezed Jayme's cheeks between his thumb and fingers, causing the teen's lips to pucker. "You're a good kid, hate fer anythin' ill ta fall yer way." Something about his words didn't ring fully true, but they weren't a lie either.
He let go of Jayme's face and floated off a bit, rubbing his hands together in anticipation. "Sooooooooo, got anything good 'round here?" He wasn't really referring to food or drink, but more something to do. As quickly as he'd brought up the situation with Reese, he seemed all to eager to change the subject. What was his play?

Jayme was staring into Ghede's eyes, and passively allowed the Banette to squeeze his cheeks so his lips pursed, and he reached up then, slim fingers reaching up to curl around the others wrist, but of course he'd floated off about that point. Something about his words....he wasn't telling them everything. What was he hiding?
Urban was staring at Ghede still, and he shook his head. "You're not gonna have any ********' fun till you come right on out and say what it is you're hiding. Sure, you say you wanna ********' help the kid, but you change the ********' subject, and don't say jack else? ******** that, spill your ********' guts. What's the deal here?"
Jayme crossed over to Urban and laid a hand on the others forearm then, a shake of his head given. "Urban, stop. If he's not saying, he's not saying. Maybe he will, but you swearing at him won't help and you know it." he went about and turned off a few of the lights in Urban's apartment, and looked back to Ghede. "Mister congeniality has some guitars...." "Touch them and I'll break yer ********' neck." the words were growled out, and cutting Jayme off who sighed. "Or not."

The ghost floated along, inspecting the room like he'd done earlier, this time going over stuff he'd missed the first time. He completely ignored the yelling of the Aggron teen. He ruffled the Teddiursa's hair as he floated by, though, and remarked, "You're smarter than you look, kid." He chuckled at the offer of the guitars, but the chuckle was short-lived.
"An idle threat, I assure you, Urban." Ghede spoke flatly when the threat was issued. "I'm not what one would call... living." At that, he snapped his own neck so that his head was now on backwards, looking directly at Urban. His smile had turned into the most unsavory frown and their seemed to be a darkness behind those bright red eyes. The zipper on his mouth had actually closed as well, seemingly to keep something from getting out. The air in the room even seemed to get colder. Luckily, this image didn't last more than a couple seconds, before his head sprang back to it's normal position and the temperature returned to normal.
"I was actually more looking for drink-wise," he returned to the previous conversation, having unzipped his mouth. "The more potent, the better."

Jayme and Urban had been watching Ghede closely, wondering just what he meant by 'idle threat' so needless to say both were watching when he snapped his neck and it was on backwards. The room getting colder and all the rest, was too much for Jayme who's eyes rolled up in his head and began to collapse.
Urban sensed Jayme crumpling as the teen fainted soundlessly, legs giving way beneath him, and he caught the Teddiursa before he hit the ground, gently lifting him up into his arms, and moving off towards his bedroom where he very simply tucked him into his bed and turned off the lights.
"Hell of a trick there." he shook his head and went to the kitchen, and down came a bottle of strong stuff. There was no label on it, but it was brand new. "Here, knock yourself out, just bought that s**t recently and not had a chance to crack it open yet. It's pretty strong s**t." strongest he'd been able to lay his hands on anyhow.
A second bottle, near empty was grabbed out and he popped it open drinking it straight from the bottle as he dropped down to a chair in his living room. "Look as a thanks for helping the kid, you can stay here for the night if you want, crash on the couch. I appreciate you letting me know about the camera, and you blocking the interference and all. Not sure what your game is, but if you hurt the kid...so help me." amazing a full sentence and no swearing but it was easy to see the Aggron was not bluffing, and was in fact deadly serious in his words.

"Oops..." Ghede watched as Jayme wilted like a flower onto the floor. "Shoulda know that woulda happened." He frowned a little and waited patiently for the Aggron to carry the other teen to his bed. A baddass attitude AND the strength to back it up? Oh yes, Urban was going to be a fun one.
The large Banette followed Urban into the kitchen, eagerly accepted the label-less bottle and cracked it open. He brought his legs up so he was hovering, Indian-style. He took a big, meaningless sniff; he couldn't smell or taste anything, so this whole thing was really rather pointless. "I'll take your word for it." He took a huge gulp and looked at the bottle, a little sad. Still nothing.
"And I appreciate your offer of letting me stay, but it'd probably be best for the kid if I weren't here in the morning." He took another swig, this one smaller, before he capped the bottle. He'd save this for later. "As for my game?" The room grew colder and his voice flattened as he stared off. "Nothing that you need to be caught up in, least not the other side of it. Just get Jayme out of there as soon as possible." His eyes flared as he turned his gaze to Urban and the room went back to normal.

"The kid has a delicate constitution. I think it helps with people believing he's really a she. Not that he corrects them one way or another usually." usually. Sometimes he made it known. He didn't like deceiving people.
"Mm you might have a point, he might start blubbering, and that's not good." it was amazing the surly, snarly attitude had diminished. Was it that he was in a genuinely good mood? The drink? Maybe both...
"Yeah he'll be out real ******** soon, and Reese is going to be lucky if I don't break his ******** neck. Might be paying me to watch the kid, but I actually like him, and would babysit for free." well then.
Urban took a few more drinks, and his bottle was put up and he was yawning. "Don't mind me, long ******** day, I think I'm gonna get some shut eye. See ya around yeah?" he was tugging his shirt off and tossed it aside with a yawn as he flicked off lights till the place was dark. Several scars littered his arms and chest showing he'd had a rough life. Likely his own doing. His pants were off next and stepped out of, and he stretched out on the couch on his stomach completely naked at that, the light blanket on his couch pulled over top himself so Jayme could rest in peace in the bedroom, and after some shifting, was finally settled, and before long asleep. What a day it'd been.

"Yeah, see ya," he replied, a sad tone to his voice. He couldn't sleep either, he couldn't even remember if he had ever dreamed. The sound of clothes dropping to the floor, however, caught his attention and he snapped his gaze to the stripping Aggron.
Ghede may not have any fluids running through his body, but he did enjoy the little show Urban put on. Scars were hot, in his mind. If he could get goosebumps, he'd definitely have some right now. And if he had a body to possess, he'd probably give Urban a good time. But, the only able body was Jayme, and Ghede was not that cruel; not by a long shot.
The bright eyes lingered on the sleeping form on the couch before the Banette floated into the living room, looking up the stairs. "Be safe, kid," he hushed before he melted into the shadows.
