Sasha shook her head.
"No. He was in my room when I left." She pursed her lips and, with a soft hum, tucked her pictures back into her pocket. "Knowing Jerry as well as I do - he's probably gone off to do something foolish. You know how he can be. You're good for him in that way, you know. You look out for him. For everyone."
Sasha held the cross and two rings in her cupped palm before closing her fingers around them.
"I was going to go ask the doctor about these pictures - not that I expect him to answer any questions I might have."
She flashed Wash a real, genuine smile.
"For the first time in my life, Wash, I feel like things are finally on the right track. I feel like this is okay. Like I'm okay." Sasha hefted one of her shoulders in a soft shrug.
"You should go find him, maybe. He probably needs his Moon."

"His moon." Wash couldn't help but chuckle.
"I'm happy for you, Sasha. Not many can say that 'bout themselves. And It won't hurt to ask- I don't know that trust that doctor fellow myself, but he might have resources, what with everyone being stuck here for the time being."
He stood, and offered her his hand.
"You take care of yourself, now."

Sasha did not hesitate, slipping her small hand against Wash's outstretched one.
"You're a good man, Wash. You really are."
She paused briefly.
"Thank you. For everything."
Sasha hoped he knew how much she meant it.

Wash leaned in, using her hand to try and guide her into a gentle, if firm, friendly hug.
"You are a fine young woman, Sasha. Don't let nobody tell you otherwise."

Sasha was brought into a hug, and she let herself relax for a moment. Just for a moment. It felt nice to be held by someone who had seen the same terrible things she had, who had dealt with the same horrible sights.
She pulled away just enough to press a chaste kiss against Wash's cheek before slipping away completely. Sasha didn't truly believe him - she wasn't a fine young woman, but she didn't have the heart to tell him otherwise.
"I'm going to stick around here a bit longer. Thank you again, Wash."

"Anytime, girl, anytime." Wash gave a slight nod and a warm smile, before striding purposefully out the door. That girl, that Sasha. She was something else - she'd be a force to be reckoned with, he wagered; if she wasn't enough of one already. He was confident she would find what she wanted from herself, given time.
Unfortunately, he wasn't so sure about their other friend. His moon, huh? Well, if that made Jerry his 'sun', it would probably be best if he tracked him down. He hoped he'd found someone to confide in, in the interim. Lord knew the man could do with some soul searching, especially now.
