After a trip which seems so endless, they finally reach Black Rose Academy. Even though Zeus live in a palace he was still amaze by the beauty of the school starting from the gate which stand firm and the school itself produces an aroma that combines the fashion and standard of pleasure.

"This school really live with her standard; I guess my dad was right." He thought while rolling his bag across the hallway as he searches for his a waited dorm.

The mumbling was soft, merely a breath as it shifted continuously between English and Spanish, about the same level of sound as the grass rustling beneath her feet. To her right stood the Academy in all of it's shining brilliance. To her left the road leading into town, a road she was forbidden to ever go down per her father's orders. Anything she needed, he sent, leaving her no reason to wander on the other side of the gate.

No reason to know freedom again.

With a gentle sigh slipping passed her lips Arrianna pushed it out of her mind, spotting a tree and leaning back against the trunk, enjoying the shade. As nice as the sun felt she felt a burning in her eyes, closing her lids halfway as she slid into a sitting position. Another day. Another blasted free moment. "Now for the exciting options of the day," she mumbled to herself, crossing one leg over the other and fiddling with her nails. "Say the Ave Maria, stalk an innocent bystander, rip apart the innocent body of a leaf. ...."

Oh how the mighty had truly fallen.

Arrianna was so lost in her musings of self torture that his voice registered the same response as a gunshot, causing her to nearly jump in the air, eyes annoyed in the next moment and lips curled in a near hiss. His monotone statement, even when true, was an unwelcome intrusion to her boredom, head turning as she searched for him before looking up. Ah. Disciplinary minion. And unfortunately the cute one.

Letting out a fake gag she settled back against the tree, only then remembering he had asked her a question. So the human knows more than he seems. Else he would have never guessed that she was anything other than another bitter teenage girl. Then again, she had had over three hundred years to perfect the routine. Another huff, another few moments of silence, and then... "Leopard."

As if he knows it all, the way he says it.

Strangely enough, while she wasn’t looking up at him, Arrianna swore she could sense his amusement, her hackles nearly raising though she kept it back. Her reaction was what seemed to entertain him in the first place. She would decide later if she wanted to give him the satisfaction.

Sinking lower in her position she sighed once more in a huff, recrossing her legs and picking at her nails. In truth she was more surprised at him being there than his speaking, she wouldn’t deny being guilty of judging him the minute she saw him. Most on the committee, they felt empowered, did nothing but wander around looking for a purpose, a chance at being the high and mighty, only second to the Headmistress. This one…. Seemed calm. Almost too calm, it made him come off as more normal than she imagined. And she didn’t really like it, she would rather judge him and stick with it.

Changing her voice to that of uncaring she studied the hand she had been playing with, cracking her neck as she let go of the desire to run, chase. Hell, shift and climb up this tree just to swat him down for entertainment. ”Shouldn’t you be off giving out demerits and detentions, friend? I’m sure the school is falling apart with one less Disciplinary hand roaming the halls.” Better he leave than stay so that her mind may wander back to the brightness of his eyes.

Even if she only got a glance for a moment, that amethyst color would be a brand in her mind for awhile yet.

Well, it seemed she wasn’t the only one prone to easy irritation. In fact, his haughty response earned a small smirk out of her, stretching lazily before looking up to meet his gaze. She let him see that smile, they were tit for tat now by means of reactions. He wouldn’t be able to deny that she had gotten a rise out of him, just as she wouldn’t be able to say he hadn’t gotten under her skin originally.

Standing up in a single fluid movement she studied the branches, lowering herself into a crouch while her eyes stayed on a single one opposite of his, ears straining. No one’s around, no one’s coming. Perfect. Smiling more now she launched herself upward, landing precariously on the branch in yet another crouch. As she stood she did so slowly, testing her balance, even doing a small spin before leaning against the trunk once more, arms crossed as she studied him next. ”I’m afraid, if that were the case, my file would not be quite… up to par, as the other members.” The school had known about the incident with her and her brother. Her father had made sure they knew. ”Chaos you say? Hmm… I’m sure, if you asked nicely, I could give them a bit of chaos to deal with.” Anything to alleviate the boredom stirring inside of her.

He was ignoring her, no one strained their eyes that hard on a book they were obviously no longer reading. Lest he would have sent her away to leave him in peace long ago. Still smiling to herself she tilted away from him, studying the school while the breeze rustled the leaves around her, small strands of her hair lifting before settling once more. Now why would she want to go stir trouble if only to entertain the stiffs in black uniforms? It was bad enough being in those walls herself, she wasn’t going to give them something to do, even in the name of her own entertainment. “Trouble with trouble-makers,” she repeated softly. “Now if only the right people were on the job.” Not the right type of people, this bunch. Maybe him, but not the rest. This human is more than he looks…

Shifting her attention back to him she jumped carefully over onto his branch, this time remaining in her crouch. Normally people annoyed her, she wanted nothing to do with them. But this one… this one she could deal with. Smiling once more at him she moved slowly, carefully, only stopping when she was a few feet from him. Then, still watching him, she whispered just loud enough for him to hear. “But how would you feel if you let your fellow Committee members try to take on such a task? Taming the misgivings of a Beastling child with a murder on her record?” He didn’t need to know that they had never proved it was her.

He’s much too calm to have just heard the possibility of murder.
It was true, this boy was not like any other boy his age. However, typically when teenage boys heard of death and cruelty, something gave away that they were not comfortable, that some part of them being human couldn’t handle the harsh reality. It was a fact, boys, as tough as they tried to come off in this day and age, could never handle a life such as a Beastling’s. But this boy….

Something’s not right.

At first Arrianna kept watching him, trying to figure it out simply by studying him. It didn’t work, he looked like any other boy with minor differences. A little taller, a little more sculpted. Hair surprisingly longer than she would the the Disciplinary committee would allow. And then, of course, there was his eyes.
Only one way to find out.

His only warning was her eyes flashing yellow, the next moment she was up close and personal, hand on the book beneath his shirt as she pressed him into the trunk even more. Her other hand covered his mouth, not caring to hear any curses or protests. He could keep his hands, she would gladly take any damage he tried to afflict on her. Tit for tat, after all. Quit wasting time. Leaning in closer she pressed her nose to his neck, breathing deeply and holding it in before letting it back out slowly, refusing to move as she hissed the word onto his skin. ”Hunter.”

Well, that explains it. Crap.

The smirk of his lips left a tingling along her palm just before he yanked her forward, her hand leaving his chest just in time to grab a small branch right above them for balance. Her other hand would have released his mouth to grab him by the throat, fingers already twitching if he hadn’t have removed her. Though his words sent quite a shock of amusement through her. A little late for that, sweetheart.

If Arrianna were honest, she would admit that he had scared her. She hadn’t moved even when she discovered the truth about him, there had been quite an opening to do away with her. But he hadn’t, even now he only grasped her in place. Why isn’t he doing his job?.... The Head Mistress. Word around the campus was that this particular Disciplinary was her ward, and therefore her errand boy. The only one to truly follow all of her rules. The thought made her smile.

Despite his grip on her wrist she pressed forward, stroking that same hand over his cheek while his eyes were still closed. His arm on her waist didn’t stop her from leaning forward again, back into his neck but closer to his ear, a tickle of breath carrying her words. “I think I rather like where my nose was the first time.” Even Beasts deserved to play with their food every once in awhile. And this prickly boy was no exception to her humor. At least I’m not bored anymore, that’s for sure.
