"I'm glad you didn't either," Avatre replied pertly. She eyed T Something, still down on the forest floor. "Looks like the same can't be said for you though. You going to be alright, or did you break something important?"
Though she didn't look or act it (especially in her dislike for forests!), Avatre was a fairly skilled healer. She'd had to learn, what with a bunch of foster sibling pouncing her and living in the desert, which was an unforgiveable place to be injured even in the best of times. She eyed the male critically; outwardly there didn't seem to be anything wrong with him, though she would admit she didn't have the best of views.

The voice was close which caused Tox to jerk his head up. That lead to pain shooting threw his head making his eyes roll back for a moment before gaining focus again. When he was able to see he spotted the owner of the voice to be a vixen daeva. Now he felt embarrassed for sure about his clumsiness.
"I'm not sure... there is tremendous amount of pain in my head but I can't see the top of it and I suspect that's where the sources of it is."

Avatre craned her neck forward, from where she could easily see T Something's head. "Well I don't see any blood," she finally proclaimed, sitting back. "You probably just have a nasty bump. It wasn't too far a fall." She took in his slightly ragged state from the roll that followed his tumble and pursed her lips.
"Do you think you'll be alright? I'm no shaman, but I know herbs. I could always try to scare something up and cobble together a painkiller for you." She glared at the trees around her, none of whom had any of the properties she was looking for. She couldn't hear any sources of running water either. "I'll have to walk around a bit and look though."

He nodded before laying back down. "I think I'm gonna lay down for a few... though if you want to do that and wouldn't mind if you could I would appreciate it but if you don't than don't worry about it Miss." Tox than laid his head on his paws.

Avatre nodded, turned, and walked away. Not even a minute later she had vanished into the forest.
It was almost a full hour before she returned, a few limp plants balanced on her back between her wings. She was glad the bluff was such a noticable place, otherwise she'd have had to hunt for the male as well!
As Avatre moved in closer, she got her first good look at T Something. He has a rich purple pelt, a color similar to her own, with yellow markings. In this drab green-and-brown forest, he was almost exotic.
'Wonder what that makes me,' she thought wryly, glancing down at her bright fur.
She stopped three feet away from the male and tilted her head. "Still alive?"

Tox had fallen a sleep as soon as the vixen had left and slept the whole time. His head hurt to bad to stay awake. His chest rose and fell evenly till he heard something. Upon waking he found the vixen staring down at him. He gave her a weak smile and mumbled "Yes Ma'am I'm still alive."

Avatre looked the male up and down. "Do you think you have a concussion? The body tends to crave sleep when you get injuries like those." She reached back and carefully picked up the plant, dropping it within reach of the male.
"This plant is called feverfew. Usually I prefer to use willow bark for pain, but feverfew is also a good cure. It'll taste a little bitter, but I'm assuming you don't want to wait for me to dry it, grind it to a powder, and mix it in with something more palatable."

"No that's fine I'll eat it how it is. After all medicine is suppose to taste bad isn't it?" He said with a chuckle trying to make a joke about his pediment not that it really amused him he was just embarrassed. He pulled the feverfew closer to him and began to chomp it up. He grimaced at its taste but continued on.

Avatre shrugged. "Most medicine does. Some you can't sweeten otherwise it negates the effects. But any herbalist who knows their stuff can disguise the taste of most medicines, make them if not good then at least tolerable. It's a particularly good trick to know when you have to dose a kit."
She knew a few of those secrets herself, but since she wasn't in the company of others that often the medicines she gathered were usually to treat herself; Avatre didn't mind a bit of bitter plant every now and then.

Tox finally swallowed it and could already feel it starting to take effect. The pain in his head was starting to leave. "They would be a nifty trick when dealing with kits. How many know how to do that?" He asked as he began to stand he than walked over to her and held out his paw "I'm Tox."

Avatre nodded. She hadn't assumed the male's name was really T Something; it would been a highly odd thing to name a child, though there were those out there that had some funky ones.
"I don't know a whole lot of other healers," Avatre said, briefly tapping Tox's paw with her own. "I don't spend a whole lot of time in the company of others. You'd have to ask a tribe healer or someone with a better social life to know how common the skill is."
She rolled her shoulders, stretching the muscles so they didn't stiffen, arching her neck a bit. "I'm Avatre."

"Hmm I might have to scout one out to ask them. I get hurt so much and so often having some basic knowledge of herbs would probably help me." He mused allowed. He gave her a smile when she gave him her name. "Avatre huh? That's a rather lovely yet unique name. I like it."

Avatre offered Tox a small smile for the compliment of her name. "Thanks. My birth parents were apparently desert foxes, which is where the name comes from. So I've been told though, since I never met them.
It is good to have a basic knowledge of herbs though," Avatre said, shifting her wings on her back. "Especially if you travel alone, and are accident prone."

"What does your name mean? Something that is from the desert?" Tox asked. He was curious because he really did like her name it wasn't something boring like his. "Yes I am way past accident prone it is a guarantee almost all the time when I go out I will end up hurting myself or so it seems."

Avatre frowned, not like she was annoyed with Tox but more like she was considering his question. "It's been awhile. Heard about it from a friend of my parents. Fire?" She shook her head, a tiny frown creasing her brows. After a moment she shrugged, sighing.
"I don't remember for sure, but I think it means "fire of the dawn", or something like that."
