Karia followed happily, only stopping when she saw the grumpy looking woman. She didn't at all look like someone Kyrielle would know....

Alu-lote nosed her bonded and looked at the filly. “Reo really need to learn to smile more, you must be the most dower human on the whole isle.” She rolled her eyes and grinned. “I know Reoakee looks like she just swallowed a really nasty berry but she normally looks like that I promise, you didn’t do anything wrong.” She danced sideways as Reo reached out to swat her. She noticed Reo was smiling now though. Her bonded was funny. She didn’t mind being tease but she put up such a front pretending to be.
She gave Alu-lote a dry smile. “I do not look like that. Even I did it’s only because I have to deal with helping people who have less sense than a rock on the most common sense of things.” She huffed and looked at the filly apologetically. “Sorry if I scared you. I’m not really all that chipper.” She looked at Alu-lote. “Unlike my bonded.” She stuck out her tongue at Alu-lote then focused back on the filly. “Now I don’t know where Thalanir and Kyrielle live at but I have a pretty good way we can find them.” She winked at the filly. “Since Thalanir takes jobs for travel and such.” She didn’t elaborate in case the filly didn’t know about what Thalanir could do. “All we have to do is head to a large place like a town and set up posts telling him or Kyrielle to come to my shop and pick you up.” She felt a bit smug for coming up to a solution to not knowing where Kyri lived so easily. She pointed off to a small building just beyond the outskirts of the village. “I live back there. It’s safe enough and it’s a spot where you could get picked up without hassle. So what do you think?” She wondered how the filly felt staying in a strange place until someone she knew could pick her up. “I could even send out Mei and Luin to get started if you want so the message where you are can get out faster”
(Would you like a map of where Forlu is and where stuffs are located?)

Karia smiled back at the human, glad to see she wasn't upset. "Well... I know they are staying with Aila.... Amarossssss... something... Darkfeather. She owns a farm.. It may help? She may have tradedededed with someones." She suggested with a small nod at Reokee's suggestion as well. "I do know what Thalanir does, and what he used to do, so its okay to say it." She also added with a small shake of her tail. She may only be a little foal, but Big Brother Damir and Big Sister Cecelia had taught her and Darrian, and Cale lots, and Brother Bhassie also kept her in the loop, cause Karia wanted to be as wise as her mother had been. That was her goal. Of course... she always got distracted by...
"OH MY GOSHINESS!!!! ITS A SHINY!!!" Her head immediately went straight for the ground, inspecting a shiny little coin she had seen that someone had dropped. She inspected it closely, her eyes glued to it, not aware of any of the chuckles from the others around Forlu that had heard her outburst.

(is super proud of my village even if it’s only in rough view. ) location of village on big ol map basic village layout feel free to ask for more since I have quick doodles of things *or will make them on the spot if needed*Must not laugh, must not laugh. That was all that was rolling through Alu-lote’s head as she heard her chosen giggle. The little one was so honest with her feelings and open with her curiosity. It was cute. She felt a pang of regret missing Losa and Val at that age. Still she was glad that Losa had grown up and come home for a while even if she wasn’t the same as she had been. She used a hoof and nudged the coin. “Yep it’s a shiny coin. My bonded has a bunch of shiney things in her shop some of them are glass though so you can’t touch them like you can this coin.” She thought about all the things that where shiney. “and I think I still have a few toys around the stable that are kind of shiney from when my foals were little” They were dusty and out of the way but they were probably still good.Still outright laughing Reo showed no signs of stopping until Alu-lote mentally scolded her. “Sorry little one but you’re adorable. I love meeting little fillies like you.” She rolled over the names and information in her head. The local barkeep would definitely be a good place to get any information she wanted and of course Adder might have something to say on the matter. She reached out and patted the filly’s shoulder . “I’m sorry I just didn’t quite know how to phrase Thalanir’s job since there are a bunch of people out there that might take issue with it." She held up a hand. "Trust me it’s not an issue for me, just ask my other bonded Luin she’ll have hours to tell you how silly people are and simple things and why jobs don’t really matter all that much.” Rolling her eyes she looked at Alu-lote. “but that doesn’t stop her from whining if I don’t carry pocket money for treats, money that I earn from my ‘useless’ job.”

Karia peered up at the laughing females, not realizing that her actions had been amusing. She was, after all, just a little filly. But in any case, they didn't seem like they were trying to be mean, so she let it pass. However, she did pick up the shiny to carry in her mouth until she got back home where she could put it in her bag of other shinies.
"I like Luin." Karia stated firmly with a quick nod of her head, causing her mane to bobble back and forth. She turned back to Alu, a bright grin on her face. "More shinies!!!???

“Well Luin is certainly something else.” She nodded her head. “Yep lots of shiny things back at Reo’s shop. Again you can’t play with all of them, but I’m sure we can find you something to look at.” She shook her mane out not comfortable with just standing still for too long and turned to head for the shop while having a discussion with Reo in her head. “Oh and you shouldn’t just pick up things in your mouth, you don’t know where that coin has been.” Once a mother always a mother.
Reo sighed. “I’ll go talk to Lead and see if he’s heard anything at the bar.“ She was not looking forward to having do deal with that flirt today. Honest how his cook Kara and his wife didn’t kill him was well beyond Reo. “I’ll be back at the shop in no time and I’ll get a few things from in the shop to play with alright?” She wondered what the filly would make of Luin once she met her. Reo sent a mental plea for the mare to play nice when company arrived. All she got back was mental amusement.

Karia looked up at Alu, a touch of confusion written on her face as she dropped her coin. Big brother Damir had never told her not to pick stuff up off the ground. She cuddled close to the big mare. Was this what a mother was like? Would Daria have been like this? It suddenly made Karia very sad that she didn't have her mother to scold her for silly things like picking up shinies and she felt tears slipping out of her eyes as she sniffled.

Feeling the little one next to her she used her wing to more or less hug the little one. “I wasn’t yelling little one. There’s no reason to start crying over it. We can get you a new clean shiny when we get back to the shop. I bet if you ask nicely Mei would even give you a pin or something for you.” Alu-lote assumed the little one was upset for being chastised. She scolded herself for letting her motherly side slip when she had no idea what the little filly must be feeling so far from home.
Reo was walking toward the village and tumbling over the information she had so she could find the filly's family faster. If she left Alu-lote alone with the little one to long she was sure the filly could talk her softhearted bonded into giving away every coin in the shop.

Karia sniffled as she pressed closer to the mare. "I don't want a shiny no more." She pouted. Why was the world so mean? Why couldn't she have atleast been able to meet her mother? Why did her father give her and her brother and sister to Damir to be raised? Damir was nice and all... but Karia was feeling green... He had known Daria and Karia had not. It wasn't fair.

Alu-lote had no idea what was wrong with the foal and decided that an open approach was for the best. “Well little one if you don’t want a shiny then what do you want? I’m not a mind reader of other Azrein. You need to use your words if you want me to help you fix what’s wrong.” She stopped walking and nudged the little one trying to figure out what she could do.

Nuzzling the mare softly Alu-lote ddin’t know what she could say that wouldn’t sound like a load of manure to the foal. She tried to think of anything she could say.“I know I would miss my mother too if she died. It wouldn’t matter if she died a hero or just from a storm. It’s not something that’s easy to accept. A lot of people will tell you it’s ok when you feel like crying and you don’t want to believe them. They tell you the same lines over and over until the words just sound empty and stupid. I know you mother would want you to smile though; she fought to keep others alive and save the good Azrein. I lost my own daughter when she was taken from me at a young age. She came back but she’s not the same. If I could I would trade places with her in an instant so she could be happy and smiling while I suffered only the gods know what. I’m sure your mother would feel the same way so rather than cry why not smile and think how proud she would have been to see you grow up into a beautiful little princess? It’s sad and it hurts right now. You might carry part of that your whole life, but you are what your mother left behind and she’ll live on a bit in you.”

Karia sniffled still, but her crying had seized. "Did you know my mommy?" She asked softly. This mare was so kind. It helped Karia to think her mother had been just like her.

Oh she wanted to be able to just say yes and make the little filly feel better but Alu-lote couldn’t do it. That would have been to disrespectful to the fallen Azrein who had left this little angel behind. “No little one. I’m afraid I didn’t. I didn’t know any of the fallen personally but I know their names and I strive to honor and respect them. They showed the best of all of the good Azrein and I hope that someday I am as brave as they were.”

Karia sighed and hung her head for a moment, blinking back her tears and regaining herself. No use crying over something that would never change. She looked back up at the female. "You're a very nice lady, Alu.." She said softly.
