Lulu looked annoyed. Once again she focused, but her focusing was was cut off by a shower of flame descending upon her. A Blaziken had opened its beak and spat flames at her. She screamed and tried to fight back, but the continuous stream of flames didn't take long before she was flat out. (She's a steel type + she got caught off guard, so...)
Ryan quickly sprinted back to where she was. The Blaziken turned towards him and clicked its beak. "Go, Vampyre!" Ryan released the Gligar, who instantly shot into the ground. The Blaziken looked around, awaiting the Pokemon's Dig attack.

Naano was glad for the distraction, but not at the fact that Lulu had fainted. Making her way next to Ryan, she watched as he sent out Gligar. Releasing Mizu, she healed him with potions until his HP was fully restored. She didn't attack, this was Ryan's fight. But if he needed her, she was ready. Side glancing to Ryan she asked "Do you want me to heal her for you?" She had a plethora of potions and such in her bag, so she didn't mind using them on her. Behind his mask she had seen his concern earlier, and it was still there but this time for Lulu.

Ryan nodded. "Yes. Heal her, please." Vampyre shot out of the ground and flipped his tail around, giving the Fire/Flying Pokemon a face full of water. The Blaziken screeched and covered its face. Vampyre shot back down for a Slash, but she looked up and blew flames in his face. He flew into a tree, rubbing his eyes. It didn't hurt too bad but he still got burned.
The Blaziken took her chance. She slammed her fist into the tree Vampyre was in, and it was enveloped with flames. She stared, satisfied at the ashes, and was surprised to feel Vampyre's claw digging into her back. She turned around and grabbed him by the tail, noticing he was clutching a Razor Fang. So that's how he was so fast. She took it from him and held it in her beak, then slammed the heavy Pokemon into the ground. She brought him up and slammed him into the ground again, repeating this.
"Vampyre! Come on! Night Slash!" Vampyre blasted water into Blaziken's face then flew into the air. He looped around and shot at the Blaziken. His claw turned dark.

Hurrying to Lulu's side, Naano retrieved a Revive from her bag. They weren't available in the stores they had passed by recently, but she had a bunch from her granfather's stash. Her eyes began to open slowly and Naano continued to heal her with potions. "Feeling better?" She asked, smiling at the Pokemon. Glancing towards the flaming tree the glow of the flames resembled the shade of her eyes. She stared in awe at the power of fire, but only for a few seconds. Bringing her attention back to Lulu she made sure she didn't need more healing. Satisfied with her condition, Naano watched as Lulu trotted up to Ryan.
The battle continued, and she couldn't help but feel impressed by the Blaizken's fire power. Naano had always been a fan of fire types, since her grandfather had specialized in training them. That, and fighting types. There was of course some psychic meshing in her curiosities, but they still had yet to come across them.
Her attention was brought to the darkened claw, was Gligar really...?

The darkness disappeared as soon as it had appeared. Gligar slashed at the Blaziken, who quickly grabbed him by his tail again. He shot water into the Blaziken's maw, and it screeched. It dropped the Razor Fang. Vampyre turned around and snapped at Blaziken, who let go, then grabbed the Razor Fang with his tail. "Acrobatics!" Ryan shouted. The Gligar shot at Blaziken with increased speed, then at the last moment turned away in the blink of an eye. It turned and did this again, and repeated these acts. The Blaziken roared in frustration, but the sound was cut off by Vampyre slamming into it. He then brought his arms up and grabbed both of Blaziken's arms.
Vampyre flew up, carrying the screeching Pokemon. She shot flames at him as he flew, but he ignored the pain. Then he turned down and shot at the ground with blinding speed. A mixture of fire and dust was released into the air along with a strange glowing. Ryan couldn't see what was going on in the fray, but he had an idea. "Naano, throw a Pokeball in there! Catch the Blaziken!"

Naano nodded and threw in a Pokeball. She had no idea why he wanted her to do this, but she couldn't say she minded. In fact she was excited, her own fire type! The moves she could teach it and the skills her grandfather had used to train his own Pokemon.
Still awed by its fighting skills, she stood hopefully waiting for the Pokeball to stop wiggling. She wanted so badly to catch this Pokemon, and was grateful that Ryan was letting her do so.
She stopped herself and realized that the Pokemon wasn't hers, it was Ryan's. His Vampyre had weakened it. Naano decided that she'd hand the Pokeball over to Ryan when the Pokemon was caught.
As they waited she massaged her head. Something about being psychically controlled gave her a headache.

The dust and flames cleared, and what lay where it had been was an rather large (About 4 foot tall) Gliscor, who was eagerly bouncing on his tail. Next to the Gliscor lay a Pokeball. Ryan smiled and walked over to the ball. He picked it up and tossed it to Naano, then patted the tired but still energetic Gliscor on the head.
"Good job, Vampyre." He told him. Vampyre smiled, baring his creepy fangs, before being sucked into the Pokeball.
Lulu was sulking near Naano, disappointing she had been caught off guard like she had been.

Naano caught the Pokeball skillfully with her left hand, but looked towards Ryan with a confused look. "But Ryan, this is your Pokemon now." She extended her left arm with the Pokeball in it.
Looking to the side she saw Lulu's emotions. Lowering her arm she walked up to her and bent down slightly. "It's a good thing you didn't fight her" she tossed the Pokeball up and down in the air "otherwise there'd be nothing in here." Smiling warmly she straightened up and had to stop herself from patting the Pokemon on the head. She wasn't little anymore.
Returning her attention to Ryan she once again extended the Pokeball to him. It wasn't fair of her to keep a Pokemon she didn't fight for.

Ryan lightly grabbed Naano's wrist and pushed it away, shaking his head. "No. I don't like knocking Pokemon out, and I knew that you'd need a Fire Type once we find King Cu- I mean, Ayato. Besides, Lulu really needs a sparring partner, and I was out of Pokeballs." In reference to his Gligar weakening the Pokemon, he objected to that point as well. "The Pokeball was bought by you, so legally the Pokemon is yours." he smiled and gave Naano a quick hug.

Naano opened her mouth to object but was silenced by Ryan's hug. She returned it. "Thank you." A smile sprung across her lips. "I really do love fire types.". Rolling the Pokeball around in her hands, she was excited to heal her and get to training.
'I'm going to burn his snowflake ridden soul'
Yes, finally.
Looking around, she found no more interest in the town but noticed herself feeling fatigued. "Want to stop by the center and heal up? We can grab something to eat too." She pondered the thought a little more "Actually I really need a shower...". Mizu suddenly blasted her with water, causing her to fall backwards onto the ground.
She was soaked completely and sat there on the ground, surprised. Finding the situation hilarious, she couldn't help but burst out laughing.

Lulu was still upset, but lesser so, and found herself smiling after Mizu had knocked Naano over with the blast of water. Ryan couldn't help but chuckle a little, too. He offered a hand to Naano to help her up. "Yeah, we'll get some food...but I was thinking instead of buying it, we could do a campout or something...." he was mostly talking to himself, trying to think if he had enough food for 8 Pokemon. "Lulu, Gliscor, and Kira can hunt...and Crow's got photosynthesis goin' on." he wiggled his hand. "C'mon."

Still giggling, she accepted his hand and allowed him to pull her up. Winking at Lulu she said "I totally planned that." Her emotions were coming back, and they seemed under control. It was probably because of Ryan. Honestly, if he wasn't with her when Ayato had done his deed then she wouldn't have ever been happy again.
'I love you'. She smiled at the memory and held onto his hand.
Her smile widened at his idea "A campout? I haven't had one of those in years...". They walked side by side with their hands entwined again, and she was still dripping water, but not so much. She had taken out her pigtails and let her wet hair fall over her right shoulder. It let off the slight scent of pineberries.
In the Pokemon center, they healed their Pokemon and then moved on to the grocery store next door. For this task, they had to unclasp their hands. Naano gathered as many things of junk food as she could. Chips, sour candies, chocolate, cookies, you name it. If it was unhealthy, she picked it up. But she did have one healthy weakness. Peaches. She gathered as many as she could and payed for her half of the food (although her purchase could have fed them all for a few days). Naano had also gotten a hold of some Pokefood.
She waited by the door for Ryan to finish, hoping that when they exited he would reach for her hand again.

As Ryan walked, he subconsciously smelled pineberries. The smell immersed him in pleasant memories. Memories of picking the small, white strawberries while walking along the forest as a Snover trailed behind him. He remembered making jam from the berries and drinks and sugar...
Lulu noticed his aura had fluctuated slightly - he hadn't noticed it himself, but the faint smell of pineberries was very relaxing. Ryan and Lulu both gathered water and sodas, and Ryan picked up a can of Pineberry Jam that he was prepared to just eat out of the can. He payed for the other half of the food. As he walked out of the store, he shoved the food in his bottomless backpack. Ryan noticed as he rummaged around in it that the charm was still in there. He grabbed it and put it in his pocket.
He grabbed Naano's hand as they exited the grocery store. Ryan's face reddened slightly, as easily as it often did, but he tried to ignore it. They began to walk out towards the forest when Ryan heard a ringing coming from Naano. "What's that?"
