Remarque glanced at the building; it looked a safe enough distance, and he wasn't picking up anything with an aura on his radar. He figured he could take a hint; he'd give Candice her space and let her walk the rest of the way. He didn't want to ruin his image by letting her think he was a creep.
He slowed his pace and then stopped. "All right. It's no problem. You should be all right getting back, but I'll keep my eyes open. If anything happens, just scream. I'll be in the area."
He figured that was a decent goodbye, however added a quick, "Take care of yourself. I'm sure I'll see you around sometime. Have a good evening."
Turning, Remarque figured that would prevent any awkward conversation after the 'goodbye' and still give her the privacy she needed to continue on home. Some girls just had no luck, and Candice had run into a massive amount of it in this past year. Hopefully she'd find a way to keep herself safe in Destiny City, but with the way things tended to go around here? It was hardly worth holding out hope for.

"I'll definitely scream out, if anything!" Candice was definitely hoping that another attack would be unlikely, but she also really didn't want to take the chance. She waved at him as she was ready to take off in a run towards her apartment building. "Take care, Remarque!"
Candice held onto Cotton's leash tightly as the both ran home. They were soon in front of their building. With shaky hands, Candice finally fiddled with her key enough to open the door and quickly get inside. She wasn't even inside her own apartment yet as she collapsed onto the floor, filled with relief.
She was safe. Cotton was safe. Now... She also had another identity. Candice pulled out the pen that had come with her 'powering up' and stared at it. "Well, this is different..."Kyuseisha no Hikari (( I THINK THIS ONE IS OVER... xD ))
