Carnelian's blurrred, extended hand made the Shame Senshi shake her aching head in denial. She immediately regretted the decision when she tried to stand; it contributed to her equilibrium and sent her back to the dirt for a bit longer. She dug her fingers into the loose ground to steady herself, further ruining her already dirty gloves. The migraine was disorienting enough without the words to confuse her on top of it. He might as well have put a bag over her face and spun her around... it could hardly make her feel more confused or more torn.

"I... c-can't. Even... if I wanted... c-can't." It hurt her to her very core to admit it aloud, to feel the hot tears on her face despite all that she had tried to suppress them. She dared not look up at those that seemed to loom over her, but she knew neither of the Corrupted Senshi would have to see her face to read her emotions. Not with the way her shoulders trembled and her voice cracked. Even making coherent sentences was hard. "The pain... feel when... see you... worse. Must... save you. I'm s-sorry. S-sorry I... failed you."

In time, the pounding of her skull became distant drum beats and, eventually, silence. Pasiphae could hardly believe it, the lack of sensation was so blessed. She rose shakily to her feet and turned her gaze to the intertwined Senshi before her. without another word bolted at full speed. It was embarassing. It was painful. It was shameful. But she couldn't risk staying another moment. She had... failed. Made an enemy in Euclase, not a friend. Unbalanced her previously peaceful relationship with Carnelian into something... more turbulent and twisted. Now... all she could hope to do was escape with her life. There was no hope of escaping with dignity.
