Unfortunently, the brown only managed to sear part of a clump, the rest catching on his leg. It wasn't something that would keep him out of the battle, and the pair disappeared between, remaining there only long enough to kill the thread.
Not the best start.

S’kor and Scarath

Agility: -4
S’kor was pleased with their first strike. It was good and strong. He spotted another group and directed Scarath toward it. He also tried to keep eyes on D’lin and the wing. It was more confusing with so many wings. He was grateful that they all reported to one person.
I see it Mine. The bronze pumped is wings and rose to meet the falling clump. He breathed flamed then saw the Thread falling down toward them.

Mine watch out! Scarath didn’t have time for evasive maneuvers, but did warn His. He roared with pain as the base of his tail. A long hop between removed the dangerous strands.
S’kor worriedly twisted in his seat to look behind him. Are you alright?
It hurts, but I will continue.

Cetalese and Green HalithHP: 35 Burn: 7 Damage Mod: +2 Thread Remaining: 168-7= 161Halith swept along with her wing, weaving in and out of Thread ash, flaming the living Thread to offer ashes to the dragons behind her. She filled with glee as she flamed a particularly large clump thoroughly, broadcasting the feeling back to her rider. Cetalese kept one eye on Halith's actions and one eye on the area around them, which was how she noticed the rogue clump. Between! Cetalese shouted to her Green as a clump of Thread dropped straight at them, blown sideways by a surprise wind.

Cetalese and Halith popped out where they had been a breath later, the sky around them clear and neither feeling the sting of Thread. Cetalese didn't bother glancing back; someone had to have burned it thoroughly by now.
Are you all right? Ceta asked her Green, just to be sure.
I am quick, Cetalesemine. It did not hit me.
Cetalese nodded and looked to the sky again, now more wary of rogue thread. She couldn't blame Halith for her excitement, because the Green had been doing her work and hadn't been distracted. She simply couldn't hold the focus to burn Thread before her and look for random clumps as well. That was part of Cetalese's job.

Optheli praised her dragon. That was a good flame! We can do this. She was glad with the near miss. Because Dynith had done her job properly, she had escaped true injury. She patted the green. Find the next one. She encouraged the green to pick her targets.
Dynith rumbled with alarm as her rider told her to go between Don’t scare me like that Mine! The green turned her attention back to the Thread. A roar caught their attention. Scarath has been hurt, she reported sadly. Feeling Hers concern she asked the bronze how he fared. His tail was hit Mine. She relayed then chose a small clump nearby. A quick circle and she flamed mightily. Flapping her wings she quickly caught up to the rest.

Don’t get distracted. She told the proud dragon. The Fall had just started. Wykla scanned the skies for more coming down. There luckily wasn’t much around them. She supposed the bigger dragons above them were catching most of it.
Kameth pulled his attention from the fluttering ash. He knew it wasn’t over. His eyes caught the tiny wiggle of movement as two small strands floated down. There Mine! He rumbled and surged forward. A slight flame took out the Thread.

Z'fer and Bronze Calanoth : Burn Post
~ Krith is scored. He and His still fight. ~ Calanoth reported, taking note of those behind him even as he let loose another long gout of flame. So far the brown had been the first of his wing struck but with how thick this Fall looked to be Z'fer would be shocked if he was the last.

F’law and Zurith

F’law tightened his hands on the straps. It was a war to keep his eyes open or not. He wanted to help Zurith spot thread, but when he did that….. the wide blue sky was waiting for him. Or the ground far, far below. Neither was what he liked. Thus once Zurith spotted the next group he firmly closed his eyes.
The blue warned off a green from the target he’d picked. He was closer. Lining up, the flamed broadly. A hiccup made him miss a bit. The flame faltering for that one critical moment. He saw the strands go past he tried to maneuver away.

F’law and Zurith

The wind swirled and F’law cried out. Pain seared his leg.
Zurith took them between to safety. Once back he hung back slightly from the leading edge as he checked on His. The blue crooned comforting.
F’law had no choice but to open his eyes now. He tried not to wince as he saw the scores down his right thigh and calf. They Really Hurt. “Keep going Zurith. Lets get this over with.” For now, he would try to continue.

Z'fer and Bronze Calanoth : Damage
Just to prove Z'fer right it seemed, a small mass of Thread came out of no where and wrapped itself around Calanoth's hind leg. The bronze grunted in surprise and was between in an instant, letting the bone chilling cold of between break the evil spores apart before coming back to the point position of his wing.

Tyeth burned several strands dropping into their path, head arcing to catch them all.
Status.
Two more minor injuries in our wing, Tyeth answered after a moment. He was keeping track of those who went between, of course, but his focus was also on the current threat to himself and his rider.
All back in the fight?
None would be foolish enough to leave without grievous injury, Tyeth replied, a hint of cold in his voice. If they did, it implied, he would know why.

"Focus," F'nell commented to both himself, and his brown. They couldn't let one minor scoring stop them, or phase them, not if they wanted to last out the fall. And they needed every fighter they had.
We shall do better.
With that said, the brown chased down after a clump of thread, warning off a blue who had just seen it slip past. I have this one.
He flamed it precisely, not letting any of this patch slip past him.

The Thread seemed like it was a curtain they would never burn through. As more fell their way, Halith-- buoyed by her earlier escape-- let out a jet of flame as she easily rolled to the left. Her actions were met with a stern command from her rider.
Don't get cocky, Halith. One sound evasion doesn't make you invincible. Think of the wing and stay in position.
Halith sniffed superiorly at Cetalese, but she did get back in place in time to sear a few stray Thread from a clump another dragon had already gotten to.
I wish you liked to have fun more, Cetalesemine.
Halith, you know better than the play during Threadfall.
I wasn't! I wasn't playing! Halith protested.
Cetalese, unable to help herself, rolled her eyes slightly. Perhaps she'd been spending too much time with Eliza or those new Greenriders.
