Lizzy didn't want to figure it out. Not until she was forced to, standing in Mitsu's room, looking at a Shun who looked like he was about to murder someone, and a suspiciously empty bed. When she typed out the announcement, she had her suspicions; Mitsu had been displaying all those "signs", after all, although they had attributed it to memory loss due to trauma.
"So where's the golem?" She asked, voice shaking as she tried to calm her racing heart; everything they did... Mitsu was still...

"I got rid of it."
That was all Shun was willing to say on that right now.
"I can give a few extra details on general golem behavior."
He wasn't wanting to give specifics.

"I didn't come here to ask you about that," Lizzy replied softly before going quiet, unsure of what to say... Then again, she was sure that words would not help much right now, given the situation. It was just one blow after the other. There were no breaks for them. No room to breathe.
She walked over, and sat down beside the reaper, still not saying anything.
Maybe he needed the quiet. Maybe he didn't need someone to say anything to him. She could respect all that... But she didn't feel right leaving him alone right now, even if he wanted to be; for just a little while, maybe it'll be fine to sit here like this? To show that he wasn't alone.
It's not like she had the power to do anything else for him.

It was then that Shun looked up towards the demon, watching her approach. His gaze didn't linger on her long though, and he soon let his eye trail back down towards the floor. The Reaper felt the bed shift a bit as she sat down besides him, but he didn't say anything.
Instead, he stared down at his hands. He couldn't believe how utterly weak and foolish he had been. He should have realized things sooner. No. He shouldn't have let any of this happen in the first place. He shouldn't have let Mitsu go into the Haunted house that day. It should have been him who had been taken. Not her...
So many things...
Grimacing, he bent his head down, clutching at his hair.
How could he have been so stupid?

Lizzy could feel the negativity coming from Shun. It was a miracle he wasn't on his knees and hands right now... Still, she said nothing because there wasn't anything to say.
She did, however, hesitantly reach out to put a hand on his shoulder, giving it a squeeze.

Shun had begun to shake a little as he sat there, tense. Though, when he felt a hand at his shoulder, he paused, and slowly relaxed. The small gesture gave a little bit of comfort but...
"You don't need to do this for me.." he whispered.

"We're not going through this again," Lizzy replied firmly, "Do you have a plan... That does not involve some kind of a suicide mission?"

He was about to say yes... until she mentioned suicide mission.
"..No."

"Then don't do it," Lizzy was serious about this, her words slow and deliberate, "Do you understand? I don't need you to go get yourself captured by them..."

"I can't just leave her... I've already ******** up enough as is," Shun hissed while not moving from his position.

"Listen to me. As much as you feel like you messed up? You did not," Lizzy frowned, "I'm not telling you to leave her. We're going to get her back - the real Mitsu this time - but we need to be smart about it. So promise me that you won't do anything reckless anytime soon. Please."

"How did I not ******** up? I should have realized it was her sooner! That... that ******** whore was here for weeks. I shouldn't have let Mitsu go into that Haunted House in the first place and now she might already be some ******** inanimate abomination," Shun said before pushing himself up to his feet. He was getting angry again thinking about it and he needed to walk it off. Calming himself down a bit, he soon let out a breath.
"She could already be dead... I've wasted too much time.."

"I shouldn't have let Mitsu go into that Haunted House in the first place," The frown on her face deepened as she stood up after him, although she didn't move from the side of the bed, "I blamed myself for weeks, but you know what blaming, in general, does?"
She paused, silence taking over.
"That's right. Nothing," She continued, "All it does is weigh your heart down. Put some of that energy into working out an alternate solution... We have a way to the island, right? That glowing liquid, and that chalice..."

"Yes. I know there is a way to the island."
Shun was planning on acting on that after all. Gritting his teeth, he kept his gaze averted from the demon spider. It didn't change the fact that he felt at fault for all of this. He was planning on doing something about it.
"I need to prepare.." he muttered under his breath.

"No suicide missions," Lizzy warned, frowning at the boil, "One does not simply walk into the island. It's buildings are guarded by more than just shields. There are probably hunters there that does not sleep... Much. The protection system is ever watchful. It is a foggy wasteland, riddled with insanity. The very air you breathe is filled with insanity. Maybe with ten thousand men could you do this... But with just you, it is folly."
You couldn't help but feel that Lizzy's quoting this from somewhere.
