She stopped in her tracks as he finished speaking, and looked him straight in the eye. "You would?" she asked, "Really?" Did he really find her attractive enough to want to life mate with her? "But what about Lord Baldur's desire for more winged unicorns? Would he be agreeable to two unicorns life mating who didn't have wings?" She truly hoped that his answer to her question would be yes, for she felt a bond with this unicorn, and she wanted nothing more than to spend the rest of her life with him as his mate.

"I think I know Lord Baldur well enough to say that he would be happy for any of us, were we to find that one special someone that we wanted to spend the rest of our life with. And yes Glacial, I would be honored to call you my life mate. But only if it were something you wanted as well. In the little bit of time we've spent together here on the ice, as well as back in the Glory, I've come to have feelings for you. I think we work well together as a team, and though I know Lord Baldur's hope is to have teams made up of both ground and aerial unicorns, I am sure we could convince him to let us remain teamed together." There, he had said it. She now knew his true feelings for her, and he could only hope that she would respond favorably to his advance.

She listened as him as he shared his thoughts and feelings with her. She couldn't have been happier to hear that he felt for her, just as she felt for him. His belief that their leader would bless their union made her feel even better, for she was so new to the Glory that she didn't know Baldur well enough to judge. She looked into his eyes and told him of her own feelings for him.
"I have feelings for you too Siniy, and I too would be honored to have you as my life mate. If you think Lord Baldur will bless our joining, then let us speak to him when our patrol duty is finished. I have no wish to wait."

His heart was beating fast as he waited for her answer. When she gave it in the affirmative, he wanted to jump for joy, but he remained reserved and simply said, "You have gladdened my heart this day Glacial. Upon our return to the Glory, we will go straight to Lord Baldur and tell him of our joining. I know he will be happy for us, and I have a feeling everyone else will too." He stepped closer to her, and he put his head against hers, to show her the love he had for her.
