Triumph like she always did, huh? Candace couldn't help the stupid looking smile that Molly's words brought to her face, rubbing her lips together while trying to hide it. Molly did have a point though; Candace found herself comfortable talking about sex with everyone..but Molly. Why not Molly? Strange. It wasn't like Molly was a child, and in age they weren't very far apart..yet Molly was somehow too precious for her to just have this kind of conversation with. Luckily Candace was pulled from her thoughts by Molly confirming she did love her, making her smile again. "Good! I'm glad~."
Candace's attention was on what to choose for lunch when Molly started to blush, missing the way the poor girl seemed mortified over Candace's explanation. She had very important things to think about, like what she wanted for dessert. Life or death stuff, okay?
"Mm, you already told me that." She replied distractedly, grabbing a bottle of water...and nearly dropping the bottle when it clicked what Molly actually meant. "O-oh? Gosh, my sweet Molly? Who for?"

Molly grabbed a sandwich and a little cup of soup, placing it on her tray, along with a bottle of water and even went as far to grab herself a cup of coffee. Lunch or dinner of companions okay. All the things. Well…even though she was an adult too, and she would throw herself on top of a bomb for Candace in a heart beat…it oddly did not make talking about this subject any easier.
Nope. Just even more horribly awkward and embarrassing.
Molly’s voice was still very, very hushed as she turned even more red and squeaked: “…Da…Dakota…?”

There were lots of men and boys on this island, none of which seemed worth Molly's time in Candace's opinion. Who had captured her heart? Or at least gotten into her pants. Her sweet Molly, who had she been tainted by? What jerk did she need to dispose of where no witnesses could pin her and no jury could convict her for lack of evidence?
"Dakota?!" Why him?! She was so much better than Dakota! He was immature, he only had one thing on his mind ever..sure he was a good kid but...him?! She was a better choice for a first time than Dakota.

Molly was looking at the ceiling now, idly toying with her scarf at the window, her face still oh so red.
“Mhm…” She murmured, and as she spoke her voice was still hushed, and squeaky. It was an odd combination. “Well…you see, for a while, I was sleeping on the couch after…the Gray Phoenix incident…because a water pipe had burst in my room and well…Dakota came out and found me so he insisted that I come stay in his room for the night…” She glanced at Candace.
“I couldn’t say no…that’d be so rude…” She laughed a bit nervously and looked away again. “…He then um…gave me a present? Um…a nightie…? It was pretty…and um…green…and um…really see through? Once again, it’d be really rude to not wear it, because he had spent the time and money on buying it for me!” Oh Molly, you were so special. So special. “Well…after that um…one thing led to another and…” She trailed off, and now looked down at her tray. “…It’s…kind of funny I guess…I really adore Dakota…he’s so cheerful and outgoing, and he always has a smile on his face when I see him…and he was kind and sweet…during it all…it felt really nice.” She paused, clearing her throat. “I really adore him…but not in a way to where I want to be in a relationship with him...he's a friend I hold really dear to my heart…” Molly gasped a bit and looked over at Candace.
“Does that make me a bad person?” She looked horrified now.

"The couch?! Oh, Molly! You could have come to me I'd have happily let you use my bed!" Candace sounded distraught by this news. She'd had no idea that Molly had been sleeping on a couch. Things could have been different if Candace had let Molly share her room instead of Dakota's, huh? Damn. Her lips were pursed while she listened to Molly's story. She couldn't say no, something that didn't surprise Candace at all. That could get Molly in deep trouble one day. She'd say yes to the wrong thing..
A present? Candace blinked. A...nightie. She was about to ask what kind of nightie until Molly said the words really see through. No, Molly. No. You could have turned it down. He could return it if it still had the tags and had never been worn. There were all kinds of excuses he could give for returning lingerie. But with every added detail Candace found herself getting angrier and angrier inside, jealousy making her bristle with silent rage. Instinctively she began to think a complaint for Atropos only to be reminded by the sight of her at a nearby table that her weapon wasn't in her head at the moment; Candace's fingers briefly brushed the edge of her cuff as she actually considered turning off the golem long enough to rant at her weapon. No, she'd resist. It's okay. Molly's a grown woman, she's not stupid. She can take care of herself...
"He is cheerful.." Candace mumbled distractedly, putting a few more things on her tray. That seemed like enough for her, but she'd stay by Molly's side and not go to the table until the girl was ready. She didn't want a relationship? Interesting! Molly totally seemed the commitment type...maybe it was just because she'd been dedicated to her little sister for so long that she needed the freedom of doing whatever she wanted for a little while. Candace could understand the feeling.
The sudden gasp got Candace's attention, even startling her a little as she turned to Molly with wide eyes. What the hell kind of question was that!? "What? No! Never! Molly, I've told you so many times you are not a bad person. S..sleeping with someone you care about isn't...it doesn't make you a bad person at all." She cleared her throat, smiling again and leaning over to brush her lips against Molly's temple. "It was just very surprising to suddenly hear my sweet Molly bird had been..ah...intimate with someone. That's all, I promise." Standing straight again, Candace pouted her lips. "But if you ever need a place to stay my door is always open for you, okay? I could never turn you down~." Not any Mist and especially not her Molly. There was a faintly audible growl from Candace's stomach that the woman did a damn good job at pretending she didn't hear or feel. "I'm probably better at cuddling than him anyway. You ready?"

“Oh, Miss Candace!” Molly wailed a bit, fretting. “I didn’t want to be a bother to anyone, so that’s why I slept on the couch! But Bix, Dakota…and now you…you’re all so kind to keep insisting that it’s not any trouble…”
She fell silent for a moment, and the nodded her head, curls bouncing. “Yes. He’s very cheerful…and…he’s such a free spirit too, and I really admire that. I think…that’s part of the reason I don’t feel…any desire to hold him down…” She giggled a bit. “I don’t want to change him. I like him just the way he is…” As Candace spoke though, Molly felt better. Okay…if Miss Candace said she wasn’t bad for that, then it must be true, because Miss Candace wouldn’t lie to her about stuff like that. She laughed nervously. “Yeah…oh…trust me, Miss Candace…I thought I would be…the forty year old…uh…virgin.”
Once again, Molly nodded her head. “Oh, thank you so much, Miss Candace! That’s so kind of you…I promise I’ll keep it in mind, thank you!” She leaned then, and kissed the older woman’s cheek before she laughed, both at Candace’s stomach growls, and her comment about cuddling. She gingerly poked Candace’s stomach. “Let’s go eat!” She announced, grabbing her tray, and giggled. “…Well, Miss Candace, you are softer and more round…” She looked around, just to make sure Dakota wouldn’t sudden ninja out of no where, and she whispered to her. “You win the cuddling contest ~”
