He snapped his phone shut, and gave the knight a big, toothy grin. He could get used to being called wise. He really could. He didn't know what fathomless was, but he liked being called wise, so he took it all in stride.

"Sup, sweetness." Robert gave Madison a wink. "Madison? Meet Sir Mix a Lot. Sir Mix a Lot, meet Madison. Baby definitely does got back." Speaking of back, he saw you hiding there Kouki. Oh, he saw you. He gave the shy weapon a wiggle of his fingers.

Madison blinked. The armored golem was definitely, er... very... shiny. And very proper, but not in a bad way? "Warrior-queen? Oh, not yet, I think you gotta be a full Hunter for that. I'm still just intermediate... but you're sweet," she said, with a grin. "I'm Madison, and I'm always up for, uh. Vanquishing."

Though she wasn't sure what the herp was.

Kouki peeked out from behind Madison, then made a four-toned, hissing squeak and withdrew. "Oh, c'mon, Kouki, don't be like that," she said, with a sigh. "This is Kouki, my weapon - sorry, I think he'd rather have stayed a sword. He's kind of shy, otherwise."

Then the rest of what Robert had said sunk in, and she glared at him. "I do not got back!"

It was then that he beckoned as well Kouki. "Now walk towards me, your bonded and you, accept my blessing and call out my true name and incantation!"

Was it just their imagination or did the room shake and quaver a little?

The door opened again. "Robert, what the h - oh, hey, hi, Maddie, Kouki," Jordan interrupted himself as he saw that Robert wasn't the only one in the room. The strange golem got a curious look and a respectful nod.

Ferros ducked under the doorframe after his human and stopped as he saw the armored golem. He peered thoughtfully at the other. "You are of iron also," he observed with interest.

Robert knew who he was dealing with. He did not, however, have a single clue what the weapon had just asked of Madison. So he was of no help to her.

He found the entire situation hilarious, though. And when Jordan walked in, he patted his friend on the back. "Sup, boss? I found me a friend. We're gonna destroy us some evil, or something. That's what knights do, right? All I know is, he doesn't want the Bible."

Robert paused, and then grinned like a cheshire cat.

"Oh yeah. And I'm the scribe."

This band of merry men were doomed.
