The gnome's exclamation only drew attention to the fact that he was, in fact, home to some bird crap. And giving the guy with an actively swung weapon more reason to dislike you was probably not a good idea.
Much less the guy who can also charge it.
ZZZZZZT! went the guitar as it soared at the gnome's noggin with gleeful purpose, making a satisfying crack. "Go back to cleaning school!" Mort taunted, a vicious grin on his face; some part of him, the one that had given birth to his fragment, took far too much pleasure in this wanton violence.

Okay, so despite Alex's initial hesitations towards joining this little activity, he was actually beginning to enjoy himself! Perhaps it was the fact that he was the furthest back on stage, so ended up with the littlest amount of destruction aimed towards him. Maybe it was just fun to just stand back and watch his fellow team mates kicking the crap out of gnomes with microphone stands and guitars laced with electricity. Or maybe it was just because he liked to throw things, especially noisy things, even if they did rebound back towards his team and possibly hurt them as well.
Ya it was probably just that.
Somebody was screaming at them from the stands, and it was only a little distracting. Something about two sticks. Well, Alex had already thrown one, so he only had one left. So instead, he grabbed a hold of one of the drums, wrenching it free from the set, lifted it over his head, and threw it with all of his strength.
Woops, rebound! He ducked behind what was left of his drum set, ducking and covering with a huge grin on his face, before straightening back up.
"Sorry guys!" He shouted, and then, noticing how the gnomes were barely even standing anymore, shuffled forward to stand with his team mates, glancing towards Amrita, his eyes glittering with amusment. "I think it may be time to finish them off. Would you like to do the honors?"

Seriously? This was the band they were to face next?
Alex didn't even waste any time. Shaking his head, his first move was automatically to throw the cymbal at the other team as he had done before, sending it spinning like a frisbee towards...whoever really, they were all monstrosities who deserved to be taken out.
Of course, the cymbal came crashing back into his own team. These drums were freaking useless!

Mort agreed: crossdressing gnomes? Well they would still fall to his guitar swinging skills no problem!
So he hefted the instrument by the neck, charged it with electricity -
- and promptly broke it at the base midswing.
There were no words to describe the utter disappointment and failure written on the zomboil's face (assuming you could see through the rotten tomato juice and the remnants of the bird crap and the shame).
No words.

They were beautiful, they were FABULOUS, and that skank of an undead was trying to upstage them! Oh. No. She. DIDN'T! Sally (Formerly known as Sal) brought up his bedazzled guitar and raced--well, tottered forward on her high heeled boots to attack Amrita. How dare she have those cute boils as her backup??
Sally swung her guitar, hitting Amrita in the thigh. Then tottered back to her band to play some guitar!! YEAH! Come on boils, eat your hearts out!

"Go Sally!! GO!!" Morticia (Formerly known as Mort HAHA) yelled, bouncing up and down, her fluffy boa flapping in the air as she cheered on her guitarist--and forgot entirely about fighting herself. "Beat her bra--her kneecaps in!! YEAH!"
Her leather outfit was a little chafing, yes, but it didn't matter--she looked MAGNIFICENT!

Lola was in love. Oh, he was so dreamy, so gorgeous--that guitarist--she wanted him to ROCK HER WORLD. But they were on opposite sides--starcrossed lovers, doomed. Just like the famous Sally song of the past, it was not meant to be--
Oh how her heart broke, oh the agony, the AG. OH. KNEEEEEE!
So she threw her drumstick at the jacker for being on the wrong side.
And since love was suffering the drumstick hit Mort in the head, then ricocheted back to hit poor Morticia in the nose.
"Oh darkling, I am SO sorry!" Lola called to her lead singer, guiltily.

Okay so, their guitarist was out, and the gnomes in drag suddenly had the advantage. Alex was already imagining how embarrassing it would be to lose to a bunch of gnomes in high heels and skin tight rockstar wear.
In any case, he saw the drummer from the other side attack his zombro, and the guitarist attack their leading lady vocalist, Amrita. Grabbing for his drumstick, he whipped it towards Sally, who was the closest one in range.
Unfortunately the stick came back and hit him in the top of the head. Jack damnit!

Amrita didn't care what the gnomes looked like; sure they looked weird, but she'd seen weirder. What mattered was the competition, and----Oh JACK Mort just broke his guitar! The look of horror on the ghoul's face was pretty akin to the Zomboil's himself; it meant they were down to two against three. Jack!
Suddenly, the barrage came.
One gnome teetered up and smashed into her leg, and the other one was talking about beating her bra...? What?
"That doesn't even make SENSE!" She yelled into the mic, the blast shooting out and smashing one of the amps just off-stage. Whoops

"It makes perfect sense! You obviously must be stuffing it to get two boils in your band!" Sally complained in a voice more befitting a bullhorn than a gnome wearing high heels. She brought up the guitar again, taking a swing--
Instead of hitting Amrita, thought, the guitar slammed into the mic, breaking off at the neck. "BESSSSYYY!" Sally bellowed dramatically, falling to her knees and sobbing over the death of her guitar.
