Cocomin nods, "You're welcome to take more than a piece or two. There should be some large leaves around here we can wrap some in so they are easier to carry, if you'd like."
Looking around Cocomin smiles, "If your brother is half as handsome as you, your mother is a truly blessed mare. Ah! There are some of the large leaves we're looking for."
Darting towards a branch of palm fronds, Cocomin hums a jaunty little melody. Returning with the leaves, she folds the edges of a few of them together so that she has something that looks somewhat basket like. It wouldn't hold for long or through much use, but it would do for the moment.
"How much would you like to take? They'll probably be good for two days at least before they start going bad. You don't want to eat them when they start getting soft and dark, they can make the head fuzzy once they start rotting."

Whisper nods in agreement as the mare talks about more fruit. "Yeah, if we could get something to carry them in, I'd take a few more." Whisper said. "I am sure they'd love them, and I know my brother could probably eat a couple at once!" he giggled while watching the mare create her 'basket'.
"That doesn't sound fun," Whisper replied to the mare, "I wouldn't want to be feeling fuzzy."

Cocomin shrugs slightly. "I don't like it. But there are some who do and seek it out." As she begins to pile fruit into the makeshift basket she smiles up at him.
"So, ah . . . did you need help getting this back to your family?" Despite the short time she'd been around, the pause was definitely uncharacteristic. Shaking her head slightly, Cocomin grins. "Sorry. I just . . . you're a very well turned stallion and I would like this not to be the only time we meet."
She was being forward. She knew it. And it didn't bother her. Maybe he had a mate. Maybe he would rather keep company with another stallion. But if she didn't ask, she'd never know. Just as Cocomin didn't hide from the rain, she didn't hide from what she was interested in either. It wouldn't break her heart if he wasn't interested, but she wasn't going to lose the opportunity by being timid.

"I can't imagine wanting to feel that way." Whisper said as he gave a little shrug. He continued to help the mare pack up when suddenly he was caught off guard. "Oh... Um.... sure!" he said, "I could use the company." he said before it hit him that maybe the mare liked him. He hadn't really thought about the mare in any other way than a friend until now. "We....we could definitely spend more time together." He didnt want to lead the mare to thinking something more than a friendship for now, but he definitely wasn't;t going to let her slip through the cracks. She was a pretty mare, and if things worked out, He could see spending a LOT more time with her.

Cocomin's grin stretches across her face, transforming it in that moment to something full of inner light. "Great!"
Trying very hard not to blush, and not being particularly successful, she busies herself loading the rest of the fruit onto the woven leaves. She looks at it and realizes that, in her excitement, she overloaded her carrying contraption. "Well, that won't do. It will just fall apart with that much on it. Ah . . ."
Looking around, she tries to hide her embarrassment before shaking off the strange feeling. He wanted company, and if she wasn't good company, he might just change her mind. So, she'd be good company. Her mind made up, Cocomin turns back to Whisper.
"Do you see any more leaves? Anything else we can use? This isn't going to hold everything, even if we are both working together to carry it."

Whisper tried to ignore the grin and blushing, mainly because he knew that if he acknowledged it, he might say something that would embarrass her. For once in his life, he was thinking before he spoke. Instead, he watched as the mare was overloading the contraption. Whisper had no clue really about this stuff, as he had never been to the shore before to even discover these leaves and fruit.
"Um," he started, "What about those?" he asked, motioning to some palm fronds that had been knocked down by the storms string winds. There were a bit of a ways down the shore. "I'll swim over and get a few and bring them back. Maybe you can put them together in a similar way. Those look a bit stronger though."

Cocomin looks where he indicates and nods, "Those look perfect! I'll reorder what's here while you go get those. Call out if you need anything or see anything else worth trying to bring back." Her grin is less intense, more cheerful and friendly now.
She turns to dividing out what shouldn't stay in her current basket and making sure the edges are well woven as she waits for his return.

Whisper made his way over to the area where he saw the palm fronds, which was about 10 feet away. The rain had all but stopped, and for an instant he thought he saw the sun peeking back through the clouds.
As he made his way over, he canvased the ground looking for anything that might be interesting. He liked coming to the shore with his new friend and finding new things, but now he wanted to find something just to get the mare to talk to him about it more. He loved conversation with her, and if he had found something that would invoke more conversation, he would be sure to tell her.
Whisper made it to the fronds, grabbed a couple in his teeth, and headed back towards the mare. As he made his way back, he saw something shine. "Hey, what is this?" he called out before thinking. As he called out, the fronds fell out of his mouth and started drifting out with the water. "Oh no!" he cried, although he was more interested in this new shiny thing that seemed to be covered in sand.
((No ideas what It could be yet, just kinda throwing something out there))

Cocomin looked up as Whisper called out. Noticing the fronds drifting away with the current, she raced to gather them. She was glad the fruit was out of any strong currents or tide and were fairly dense.
Once she deposited the fronds near the fruit, tucking them slightly under some sand so they wouldn't drift away, she moved back to where Whisper seemed fascinated by something.
"What did you find?" Cocomin asks as she swims closer, peering over her shoulder. She doesn't seem to notice how close to him she is as she looks at the reflective bit mostly buried in sand.
"Huh . . . I think . . . It kind of looks like metal. The kinds the two legged creatures on the land sometimes use or even wear. It's kind of big, I wonder how much is buried in the sand?"

Whisper was glad that the mare had been able to quickly gather the fronds that had begun floating out to sea. Thankfully there were a couple more on the shore if they needed them. "I have no idea what it is." whisper said as he began trying to uncover the shiny item. "It does look rather interesting though. I wonder how they would wear it." He didn't get to far uncovering it because he wanted to take care that it did not get broken as he discovered more of it.

Cocomin shrugs. "Two leggers are strange. I only know sometimes they wear strange thing for no reason I can tell. And if this was something they wear or just carry or . . . I don't know what they do with it. It could have any purpose. But . . . I don't know. I do know that all metal I have found is very strong."
Cocomin helps uncover the thing, trying to keep from kicking too much silt up or getting sand into their eyes.
[[ I have no idea what this thing is. I gave it 'metal' - but it's yours to describe. ]]

As Whisper continued to carefully uncover the item, he noticed that even for being partially buried, the shine was pretty impressive. As he helped to uncover the item, Whisper gave a gentle 'brush' against Cocomin. "Oh, I'm sorry!" he said, playing the motion as an accident. As he looked down again, he realized that the two had successfully uncovered the larger part of the item. It appeared to be silver in color, and the biggest part was in the shape of a heart. He gave a gentle pull to the item, but it still seemed to be a bit stuck. As he moved it, he noticed a 'string' that was attacked to both sides.
Whisper spent a few more moments uncovering the chain. "This is stunning, whatever it is!" he said to the mare.

Cocomin smiles softly as they brush each other. "Sorry? Why would . . . Oh wow, that is lovely."
She uses the excuse of getting a better look at the object to move a bit closer. She doesn't even pretend that the touch is accidental. Her smile would remind someone of a cat in cream, if they had ever seen a cat.
"I have no idea what that would be used for, but it is so very shiny and smooth. What will you do with it?" She let her shoulder brush against his as she spoke. Her mind reminding her that she shouldn't be surprised with how warm he is, but she appreciates the sensation.

Whisper was still trying to figure out what this new thing was, even as she asked him. It looked very pretty, but he really didn't know what he would do with it. He thought for a few moments, and made a sudden move. He grabbed the item and attempted to drop it over the mares head. As it fell, it seemed to land nicely around her neck. "I dunno if this is what it is supposed to be, but the stunning things must belong to a stunning lady." he said.
His feelings had become a bit more apparent, and he hoped that she had similar feelings within her, but even if not, he couldn't let the opportunity slip. After all she had not pushed him away yet. "Its something you can remember me by," he said, hoping that she'd hang around him a bit more than just this day.

Cocomin is startled by the sudden movement and moves back from him about a foot before she realized what just happened. Her eyes a bit wide as she looks down at the thing around her neck.
Blink.
Blink, blink.
"Oh, it's lovely! Thank you!" With a little forward momentum she lays her head alongside his and lips at his flowing mane. "I wouldn't forget you even without this, but it is very nice."
Cocomin wasn't sure how to express that she didn't even want the chance to forget him. After all, as long as they were together, it wouldn't be an issue. But he did have a brother and likely others who needed him. She knew better than to suppose they would just travel around together forever now.
