Rivener let the Maevins talk about rocks, only partly listening as he enjoyed his portion of lasagna. It really was rather good, and while he wasn't usually a fan of human meals, this wasn't something Aphi made often so it was a welcome change. The Scorpion took small bites, making sure he was savoring each one, and accepted a slice of bread when Ty offered the basket.

Aphismet laughed at the story, shaking his head fondly. "I'm so proud of you for not caving in, Lil. It's definitely a success. Poor Iorek- I don't think you'll be living that one down for a while, hm?" The white-haired man grinned at the Frei and winked, enjoying the three giggling together like that. It was good to see they were getting along!

Aphi's eyebrows rose as he saw what Tyson was doing with his tomatoes. "Ty! You should eat your salad! Don't you like tomatoes? Try at least one!" The chef flinched slightly as he realized what he was doing- he'd slipped into big brother mode like he did with Isi. Aphi chuckled sheepishly. "Oh, uh. Sorry. You don't have to do that. Reflex. But, uhm, about what we're up to... nothing much, same old same old. Work and stuff. Right, Riv?"

"Yeah, work. I get to hang out a lot with Zul, but mostly it's work. Kind of a boring life, hm?" He smirked at the Maevins. "Not like you three, wandering the world. You've not missed much, I think. So where'd you go? What'd you do? See anything interesting?"
