Alonna Ridela "You're about as endearing as a needle, you know that?" she called out to him, standing and and tugging Annalis by her hand back to him. "So, I was thinking. There's this huge house party going on at my place tonight as an end-of-summer blowout. As student council president, I'm required to host it." Releasing her friend's hand, she pulled out her cell phone and showed them the text she'd mass sent to everyone in the school. "You two want to come? It'll be a lot of fun, and I promise there won't be anymore sadness involving me or my family." All of a sudden, her phone beeped. Checking it, she gasped. "Crap, the party's starting now. Look, the funeral's over and I need a way to cheer up. Come on!" Grabbing Annalis and Lance's hands, she ran off, rushing through traffic and straight to her house. {{Sorry! I just really had to get her to the party!}}

Happiness is not about having the best of everything ------------------- Annalis giggled at Alonna's comeback to Lance. "A house party?" She had never been to one, but then again, she had never really been invited. "I'd love to go!" she shouted, jumping up and down, clapping her hands excitedly. She was happy now. She had already completely forgot about the earlier incident. She was shocked as Alonna grabbed their hands, pulling them quickly towards her house. She giggled cheerfully as they ran along the streets. This was going to be fun, she was sure of it.
((EXIT to Alonna's house)) It's about making the best of everything... ------------------------------- ((OOC: So about ANOTHER late reply. My stupid internet keeps stuffing up. Internet guys said it will be fixed in around 6 weeks. 6 WEEKS! So long! crying ...........Oh, I'll be fixing up this profile layout soon so if my posts seem a little weird, just ignore it XD))

  Lance rose a hand to answer Alonna's invitation, though he was rather unsure of whether he would have even accepted it. A party right after a funeral? That was a bit of a contrasting situation. He wasn't sure he'd be able to handle that all too well. But before he could even get a word in, Alonna had grabbed his and Annalis's hands and was suddenly rushing straight into traffic, much to Lance's disapproval. He had to dodge a couple cars to avoid them, though it wasn't much of a challenge. But he still wasn't used to cars, so this wasn't really helping him much. Rather, it prompted him to prefer running across the street whenever he liked instead of waiting for a traffic signal. And that wouldn't really help him blend into society much.
Lance lightly growled in aggravation, brushing loose locks of hair out of his eyes.((EXIT)) ((I don't really mind, I have a lot of work to do this semester anyway ono ))

Leon Court Leon stood outside of the funeral parlor, unable to make himself go back inside with the rest of the crowd. He looked down to the cigarette pinched between his index and thumb fingers. Cobra, Nikolai's favorite when Leon was still allowed to smoke. He chuckled at the memory of when Nikolai forced him to quit, citing his health as suffering from the nicotine. This was, of course, not true at the time, but Leon listened and set aside the tobacco sticks. Ever since Nikolai had died, though, Leon found himself taking up old comforts over and over again. The teacher tossed the lit cigarette onto the ground, crushing it with the heel of his dress shoe. He shoved his hands into his pant's pockets, his jacket open and flapping about in the wind, his lime green tie just barely hanging around his neck. It was Nikolai's tie, of course, an extra he found in the back of his closet and had taken to wearing. If he stayed still, it still smelled like him. " Damn it," murmured the man as fresh tears came to his eyes. " God damn it!"

" I'm sorry for your loss." came a soft and gentle tone. Standing a few feet away from Leon was an older-looking man with wavy white hair and a black suit on. There was a thick scarf over his shoulders that covered the entire lower half of his face, but his frost blue eyes revealed the emotions on his face. " My name is Chaos, or, as Nikolai preferred, Atticus. He was like a... son to me, in a matter of speaking." the man introduced, the tenderness in his eyes never fading. " You were his lover, correct?"

Leon CourtLeon looked up instantly at the voice, his tears freezing where they were. " I know who you are," he said, voice thick and gruff with his own emotion. Leon bowed his head, eyes closed. " And yes, I was. We were more than just lovers, though." Memories rushed through his mind of Nikolai: Nikolai laughing, Nikolai teasing, Nikolai being so cruel, Nikolai snuggling into his chest and holding him tightly, afraid he would leave him. Nikolai... Leon raised his head once more, allowing the tears to fall again. " We were soulmates, sir. We... we still are. His soul just isn't here to c-complete mine anymore."

Atticus looked softly at Leon and put a hand on his shoulder. " Love is an awfully powerful emotion, isn't it? It can make the mightiest of men fall to his knees and the weakest child strong enough to change the world. Sometimes it can even trick Death. You are no stranger to that belief, correct?" His frost blue eyes glinted with something as he took his hand off Leon's shoulder. " I will tell you, though, that I had never seen Nikolai so happy than when he was with you." he said. A black crow cawed overhead and earned his attention. He looked up and watched the bird fly down and land on his shoulder. A purple-blue butterfly fluttered to the other side, hovering over Atticus' left shoulder, though his focus was back on Leon. " It seems it is time for me to be off. I think I'll let Ezekiel pay his respects first, though. It would also give me closure to say my own farewell. In the meantime, please take care of this one for me. You'll find that he's very important." the scarfed man instructed while extending his hand towards Leon. The butterfly fluttered down his arm and rested on Atticus' extended index finger. After what could've been a moment to rest, the butterfly flapped its wings again and flew towards Leon.

Leon Court" Hm?" Leon watched the butterfly, reaching out his own hand. Inside, he pushed away the thoughts of Nikolai once again, trying not to cry at Atticus' words. " You... You want me to watch after a butterfly? Alright, if that's what you really want."

 Atticus let out a knowing chuckle. He nodded his goodbye at Leon then stepped into the building to see the coffin one last time. As soon as he was out of sight, but bluish-purple butterfly took on an entirely different personality. It fluttered around Leon's face angrily, like a persistent fly or gnat that kept getting in the way. Being so small, though, it lost energy quickly and had to land on the violet-haired man's arm to rest. In that moment of time, its wings could be seen more clearly. Large, august wings with a blue center and a purple edge, but what was really interesting was the top of the wings, which held the brand, 'SLOTH'.

Leon CourtHe gazed at the butterfly, then had to stifle a laugh. " Sloth? You're... You're so pretty~" he purred, smirking, managing to forget the occasion for a moment. " What happened to you?"

The butterfly's wings twitched when he heard Leon. " Shut up!" the tiny insect bellowed, or at least tried to. Without a sufficient host with actual vocals, Sloth's voice had been diminished to one that sounded as if someone had taken in helium. " Because of you, I had to get a new body! Look at me! Do you have any idea what it's like to be a butterfly, dearie? These filthy bugs want to fly everywhere! And you know what? I've never been tempted so much to go to Mexico in my life!" the Sin ranted while hovering angrily over Leon's face.

" Trust me, the last thing I want to see right now is your face, no matter how handsome it is." Sloth growled, which was an interesting thing to see a butterfly do. The bug fluttered on top of Leon's head and landed there, flapping his wings slowly to rest. " Chaos told me that if I stayed with you, Nikolai would come back. So bring him back already!" he demanded and stomped his tiny legs on the man's head, not caring about how he wouldn't feel them.

Leon Court" I'm a Neutralisa, not a Grim Reaper. I can't raise the dead," he said, eyes raised in an attempt to see the butterfly. " How do you expect me to bring him back?"
